Hellooo, i just realized (and wishlisted in a sec.) there is a steam page for book 3, YEY! I was wondering if there are any updates on release date. I really like the game excited for more content, thank you! :3

Thanks for wishlisting Book Three! I'm sorry for the lack of updates. I am still working on it but life always seems to drag me away again for one reason or another and progress gets delayed.

I don't want to promise an exact date until I am 100% sure I can meet it! I am, however, still hopeful for a late 2026 release. The only thing remaining in the way of writing is Natalia's endings and final act, and this has been the hardest part for me to write for various reasons. Once that is done, I will set a release date because everything else should be smooth sailing! 💕

I'm so happy that people are still excited for the release. Thanks for this ask!

You may never see this ask (I sent an ask before but you can totally ignore that one hehe) but I am wanting some help!

I’m currently trying to complete all of the achievements before whenever the next book arrives. I’m currently stuck on trying to get the “anomaly expert” achievement but it’s really frustrating to get. I followed the guide multiple times, even your advice but it still doesn’t work. I’m also picking random choices at this point. I read one person was able to get it but they never explained how (infuriates me!) so I’m stuck trying to get this over with before going back down Clive’s path again so I can get the “Clive fan” achievement and I’ll be done! (Cuz I have like one more of his CG to get!)

This may be the reason but I don’t think it is…Inigo may have switched up something? Idk lol…I apparently gotten the “deal with the devil” achievement (first) when I was speed-running one day. (No guide no nothin’!) And then a thought came to me to go ahead and just try to earn all of the achievements I had left but now he’s been a menace since. He’s a fun character ngl but he ANNOYS me!

But regardless if you can remember the actual steps that lead to that achievement I would love the help and thank you in advance!

Hi! First off, sorry if I missed anything important in your last ask. Unfortunately, I don't see it in my inbox, so either I accidentally deleted it or it didn't come through.

As for the achievements, I'm sorry it has been so frustrating! I tried following the guide while testing this out after a few reports that it didn't work, but it consistently has gotten me where I needed to be. Since there is a lot of persistent data that changes things, my best guess is that one of the variables isn't being triggered for some people. When I've got a chance, I'll try wiping all my data and starting from scratch to see if I can figure out exactly where it is going wrong.

Since most people seem to be having trouble triggering it with the guide, you're definitely not alone. I have an update that I am preparing for next week (some book three file prep + general fixes), and if there's time before that rolls out, I will see about adjusting the requirements to make them a bit easier to trigger.

Hi! I’ve never send in a question anywhere before so kinda nervous! I stumbled onto your game recently and have been absolutely smitten with your writing and character progression. Though I’ve seen very little information on the last book and when that’s supposed to drop ^ - ^

Do you have an estimated month this might happen? Or has the project been dropped (sorry if it’s a rude ask, curiosity is gnawing at me)

Hello there! Don't worry, you don't seem rude at all. I've been rather disorganized as of late, and I apologize for that. To sum it up, the project definitely has not been dropped, but unfortunately I can't give a proper time estimate right now.

I will copy and paste my latest Discord announcement here:

"I'm sorry that I've been so busy lately and left everyone in the dark. The truth is, I haven't had a lot of opportunity to get progress done as of late. I used to feel a lot of guilt on this matter, but I've come to realize recently that I must prioritize keeping myself healthy and well if I'm to finish Book Three, and I'm just not in the state to do that for the time being.

I am getting better though. Much better, and I had a huge breakthrough recently about how I want to wrap up Natalia's route. That was the main issue I was struggling with and now I feel the creative juices starting to flow again. Thank goodness!

Since I know this long without updates and the lack of progress must be disheartening for people waiting for the upcoming routes, I want to remind everyone of a few positives:

- Jasper's route is finished in both writing and programming, just needs to be tested!

- Natalia's Act 1 & Act 2 are done - just need to finish Act 3 and the endings.

- The art is finished for both styles of Natalia's CGs and just need to keep setting aside funds to commission the remaining Jasper CGs.

All that is to say, the progress is far, *far* closer to finished than to not finished. I know it isn't much, but I hope that this update can at least give you all peace of mind that Heart Fragment hasn't been abandoned, never will be abandoned, and is right around the corner. Thank you so much as always for your amazing patience."

You may never see this but…the soundtrack/music you made (well whoever made it) for this game is quirky but fun listening to. That’s why I want to come forward and share this…”remix”…I did with the background music that plays during Clive’s path when he get poisoned by Jasper…I created it on GarageBand, since that’s my only go-to for creating my music (I create all my music on there--hoping to share it one day). I overall love this game and I hope you would not mind this remix at all…I thought I just wanted to share and for others who come across this…this may be my best work yet, I don’t know. If you like this, then I thank you in advance. Will be waiting for book three!

Hello everyone! I apologize I haven't posted here in a while. I posted this update recently in the Heart Fragment discord server, but it occurred to me I should probably post this more publicly to keep everyone in the loop.

As the original note on Discord said:

This isn't so much of an update as it is a message to let you all know I am still here and Heart Fragment hasn't been abandoned, I promise that.

I moved away from my home town recently. The transition has proven to be... less smooth than I hoped. Of course it's not awful and there's been so many positives that came along with it, including a sense of freedom from being away from constant harassment by the situation I was suffering through back in my home town. (Long story.)

But there's been some issues that were overlooked before moving in here, and I can't afford to move again (nor do I want to, I'm happy, ultimately), so I'm trying to tackle those. For example, I have a pretty severe dust mite allergy. This place was riddled with it, due to the carpets never being cleaned. I got a heavy duty vacuum and dusted my ass off, and it's gotten more bearable but I've still got chronic sinusitis going on and have to keep an air purifier going 24/7. There's also been a loud, inconsistent clicking noise above thats affecting my ability to sleep some nights. I tried to investigate the source only to find out dealing with it will be impossible because the attic space above me is riddled with asbestos-infected insulation. I just hope I didn't accidentally make it airborne while moving the cover to take a look.

But still, things are settling. Since posting this initially in Discord, I've settled all of my game development files onto my laptop so I have a more portable work station. I've gotten back into continuing Natalia's route now and I'm very excited with how it's going!

omg i just came here to say that heart fragment is an absolutely phenomenal game, like I have only played Kay's route and I already know its amazing (btw its kinda funny how the route ends with the both of u getting therapy definitely one of my fav endings)

if u made this game, i have to say, amazing work! And, from the very bottom of my heart, I have nothing but gratitude at the fact that the game allows us to choose the character gender and pronouns, I love it!

I really wish the game was more popular, it deserves more love

Sorry for the delayed reply! Book Two adds two entirely new routes - Shannon and Lana - and is not a continuation as Book One's routes. However, as Lana's route is non-romantic, there are optional mini romances that you can do with the Book One route characters!

After Book Three is (finally) released, I will be doing an epilogue DLC which has continuations to the good endings of all routes, as well as a few prominent bad endings. :)

I am madly in love with Inigo. Care to spare some lore </3 (not anything major obviously or even lore relevant I just like him)

Lets see what crumbs I can share...

Inigo's favorite color is blue.

He has 5 scars on his back, and a 6th that has faded enough that it is barely noticable anymore. One of them is longer and more prominent than the others.

Inigo is good at tying a tie. In the past, he'd do a full windsor knot for work and then keep it as a half windsor knot afterwards.

At one point, Inigo thought the most evil thing a person could do is neglect or abandon their family.

Inigo could be considered a prodigy in some ways. He's exceptionally smart and talented at figuring out solutions to things people with twice his age and experience struggle with.

hello!! i just started playing and i think there are romantic endings right? so i was wondering if the male mc can end up with one of the male characters or not since they only mention a girlfriend in the romantic talk :(

Yes, all of the main route characters can end up with the MC regardless of gender! The only exception is Lana, whose route is platonic.

hii, whenever I start a new game/series I always look to find the MBTI types of the characters to see which ones have the same one as me (entp) but when I looked for the ones of the heart fragment characters I couldnt find any. Are there any canon MBTI types for any of them? ALSO LOVED THE GAME BTW CLIVE IS LITERALLY MY POOKIE

In all honesty, I don't know a whole lot about the MBTI myself! I have seen some people in the Heart Fragment discord server theorize Clive as INFP, Shannon as ENFJ, and Xani as ISTJ. And in the past I had done a test from Jasper's & Inigo's perspective just for fun, and the results were INTJ for Jasper and ESFJ for Inigo.

I can't say for certain, though! I'd love to hear other's analysis if anyone happens to be interested. :) And thank you so much for enjoying the game! <3
