Sympathy Kiss ~ Nori Tainaka thoughts. (Spoilers)

So ive recently gotten back into otome games. a lonnnnng time ago i use to play them but theyre werent many english translated/english made otome games. Right now, ive been playing Sympathy Kiss and the first route i did was Nori.

I usually like to play the first time around blindly just to see what i get, so i did that and ended up with Nori. He was very cheerful and "puppy like" I did like his route but i wouldnt say i loved his route?

For some reason, and i dont know why, at times i found him kinda pushy and too forward for my liking lol. Like ok this is a bit much tone it down lol. and sometimes id think "is he manipulating the player a little?" He is though, a kinda and caring guy. He had his fun and cute moments and i warmed up to him as the story progressed. I think I was just taken back at first lol. I usually go for the stoic type or the type that take a bit to warm up.

His tragic backstory was ok? i mean it wasnt super angsty lol. Basically he was really good at cooking and he ended up winning an award, but then the other students got jealous and started saying his food his gross and sabotaging him (even going so far as to steal a recipe and blame it on him). Later on he because a desert and appetizer cook but again people started bullying him, so he ended up quitting and just aimlessly wandering around from woman to woman.

Amnesia: Memories Toma Route: This Dumb BI—

Yup, I finished it. I finished the trash route. I wished to god I could skip through it all but I persevered until the very end. Throughout my otome journey I've learned that I really can't like routes with anything remotely problematic, which sucks since all games have problematic content and routes. But I will keep playing because there are routes like Kent where nothing is wrong and I fangirl so hard. I was pissed off but surprisingly, I was more pissed off for Kinji's route in Winter's Wish. So I guess that's a plus? Still a shit route though with bad writing (even for those that love yandere?)

Alright, the beginning is very interesting. Unlike other routes, Orion was trying to take MC back to her room but something was pulling him, causing him to make us land outside in front of Toma. MC remembers Toma a little right from the beginning. But because of this, it caused her to have a harder time seeing Orion. Though after her third day at the hospital she was finally able to see him.

Yeah…I’m really getting the feeling that Toma’s acts of kindness are ways to keep MC dependent on him but that’s only because of what I know. He definitely caused her amnesia…I’m sure of it. Toma…I’m not sure you were a couple after that memory. She was definitely talking to someone in a way that meant he didn’t know she liked him. The yandere is off the charts, he definitely took her computers battery away and is really making her unhealthily dependent on him. And he is for sure the one pushing her or has Ukyo doing it for his wish. And I know Mc has amnesia but by god she’s dumb. She’s letting him manipulate her so easily. And she’s “whoring” herself out so easily, showing herself in lingerie…no sane person on earth with amnesia would do something like that. The writers just wanted to force her into that for Toma’s yandere route.

He drugged the food. She’s so damn gullible she deserves it. Why the fuck is she defending him when he locked her in a cage and is keeping her away from everyone? I can’t believe Orion of all people is now fine with Toma. Good god everyone but Shin sucks in this route. The writers really had to pull shit out of their asses to justify Toma treating MC this way.
