Anyway the divine feminine includes trans women and femmes and non-binary persons who identify with it, and anyone who disagrees can leave this place for good.
This is so comforting. Boosting and also appreciating this post!
I don’t see myself as feminine but I do strongly connect with and relate to goddesses and female spirits who are considered part of the divine feminine.
I have nothing against scented candles but this is holy

Whether to use reversals in tarot
Reversals basically have their own discourse amongst readers. Some readers use them and some don’t, some use them with certain provisions (such as only using them with decks where the back of the tarot cards have a reversible design). Some readers interpret reversals as a negative or opposite meaning, some interpret reversals entirely differently. Some decks are designed for them and some are not.
I’ve found the discussion interesting even though I don’t use reversals and don’t aim to, except for with the tarot app on my phone that seems to factor in reversals in its daily draws whether I turn them off or not. My reason is twofold: because I don’t reliably turn over cards in a consistent direction or shuffle them consistently enough that I can feel the reversal has meaning, and because I gather the info on whether a card should be read negatively or with some other special emphasis via intuition instead of by whether it’s reversed. I’m always interested in how others read and how they use their tools and intuition.
Whether someone uses reversals in their readings seems to boil down to two factors:
Do reversals increase the versatility of their decks?
Do reversals add meaning to the reading?
If the answer to one or both is yes, you’ll probably connect well with reversals. If the answer is no, probably not. It can change from deck to deck or reading to reading. Sometimes I see people treating this issue like it’s some sort of ideological divide or they’re emotionally invested like it’s a hometown sports match, but it is really not a big deal so don’t feel pressured that you have to take a side.
ok i dont mean to come off salty but so many of you guys ask ‘how does x feel about me, if i’ll have a chance with x, what will happend with x and i’ etc. i know divination is great, but you’ll literally dont get anywhere with just depending on it. you want to know how they feel about you? ask. who cares if you’ll have a chance with them or not? ask them out or to hang, anyways. divination is not always 100% accurate. what will happend? the future changes constantly. start taking some form of action, instead of just sitting around and questioning things like this. you can get an answer just by asking the person involved.
i also need to add that diviners are not therapists. i have many people reaching out to me about their problems, venting and expecting me to solve it with my abilities. please stop depending on diviners to solve everything for you. it doesnt work like that. we’re here for guidance and tips; not a form of cheap therapy where you dump all your issues on us, and expect life changing answers in return.
i went off, but i had to. thanks for coming to my ted talk, have a nice day
I’ve been seeing a lot of confusion about reblogging vs. reposting so I want to clarify the different things you can do with a post!
The symbols: left to right (1, 2, 3, 4)
This is designed so you can send the post to users via messages. It still links to the original post and poster. It’s also where you find the link for the post, so you can link it if you ever have a need to! (OP does not receive notifications for this)
This is so you can leave comments on the post. Sometimes this isn’t an option, it depends on the post. Say nice things here! (OP sees notifications)
This is so you can REBLOG the post. This is how you share the posts to your blog. This gives full credit to the original poster and is what we want you to do! (OP sees notifications)
This is the ‘like’ button. Once you click it, it saves this post with your other likes. (OP sees notifications).
Notice how there is NO repost button? That’s because reposting takes effort! This involves screenshotting or copying and pasting, then putting it in a brand new post. When you do this, the original creator gets no recognition and the post isn’t linked back to them in any way. This makes it seem like it’s your creation - don’t steal the hard work from others.
One more time: Reblogging (using the button) is okay! Reposting (stealing and posting as your own) is not okay.
In this post I talk a bit about how to spot reposted things.
REBLOGGING this because it’s a gem and super important
Found you through your florist stories. Is there a way I could subtly tell someone to fuck off with flowers?
In flower language? Probably, I think I’ve even reblogged something to that effect. But….most ppl don’t know flower language anymore. No, if you need a true “fuck you” then here’s my DIY official tutorial, the Death Bouquet:
(This is gonna be the least wholesome post I’ve ever written and I am so sorry but I am also laughing while I type this.)
I’ve been railing on Pink Floyd roses a lot for their thorns lately because one has sliced my hand open recently. Get some of those.
Next. Get you some ornamental thorn roses. (I’m not 100% but I think mermaid climbing roses fall into this and are also brutal)
Next. Thistles. Lots of thistles. More thistles than sense.
Next. Dusty miller flower greens. Soft. Weak. Floppy. Clog up your bouquet with these, especially in the middle where they’ll make the stems stick together.
Next. Baby’s Breath. This is your secret weapon. You can’t tell when they’re dead half the time, they’re strong. Too strong. The wrong touch and FOOOOOOF. Tiny leaves and petals EVERYWHERE it’s as good as a glitter bomb.
NEXT. Abandon common arrangement sense. Fillers first, clog the center with fillers. Clog it, make it dense. Stick a rose or two in, but you want at least 70% filler.
NEXT. Hide the thistles. Hide them under the roses. Make sure some of the heads are at hand level. Spray them with water. You want those stems damp and miserable. Thistles harden as they die.
NEXT. The roses. Line this puppy in roses. Ornamentals and Floyds should be along the outside, this bouquet should be DEADLY to put any weight on. Spray them with water. This bouquet should be so tightly packed that your “handle” looks more like a solid mass than anything else.
NEXT. Wrap them in paper. TISSUE PAPER. Thin, weak, damp. Even gardening gloves can’t save your hands now.
NEXT. Be strong, treat the bouquet like a bed of nails. The more evenly spread the weight, the less likely you are to get hurt. You will be tempted to give these roses away in person, but be strong. Your ginger body language will give up the game.
FINALLY. Deliver them. Know. KNOW that your plan has worked, because anyone with any sense will see a bouquet and just FIST it with one hand. Maybe the other will come to support it. But just that. Just the hands. Meeting thorny death. A dozen little needle presses. The paper will be too damp to unravel, to see what has done this. They’ll grab it a few times, trying to learn the secret.
Deliver it with a nice note. Sincere, heartfelt. Make them feel obligated to deep the Death Bouquet. This is where the density comes in. Damp, suffocating, these flowers will mold in secret. They’ll die and their odor will permeate the air. But, because of the nature of the baby’s breath….it’ll be hard to find. Hard to detect. The roses will be sheltered because they’re on the outside, getting air and water. But the center will mold, and stink.
Eventually, they’ll realize it’s the flowers, and they’ll move the bouquet, and POOF, it will shatter, leaves and petals everywhere, releasing a gag worthy odor unlike anything they’ve smelled before.
And that’s how you say “fuck you” with a bouquet.
This was the most amazing read and I need to do this *now*
Additionally thorny roses that would be perfect for the scenario:
Voodoo
Sahara
Red Paris
May I also suggest Bells of Ireland? Who have teeeniest of thorns that you don’t realize are there until you touch them?
Going to also suggest Misty Blue, which smells like dead fish.

🔔 BELLS IN WITCHCRAFT 🔔
Bells might just be the earliest form of superstitious practise that I remember. My baba attached three sakura-patterned suzu bells on my schoolbag as a kid, purportedly for good luck and protection from evil spirits – and Japan is far from the only place to have associated bells and bellringing with mystic practise. They’ve been used worldwide to ward off evil and carry messages – and in a more metaphysical sense, sound is the movement of energy through substance. Sounds have the potential to work powerful magic.
Here are some of the ways I’ve found utilising bells to be helpful to my craft. While I’m more likely to use traditional suzu type bells, your own background, path and culture will likely have its own types of bells – and as ever, bells can be ornate antiques or they can be a bottle cap in a tin can, as long as they’re used with intent.
GETTING STARTED
🔔 As with so much of the craft, if you’re new to the witching bell, it’s a matter of exploration and experimentation. Get a “feel” for what works for you and the specific bell you’re using.
🔔 It’s good practise to ensure that the bell itself is cleansed, warded and protected – you don’t want anything nasty tapping into that power. All witching tools can do as much harm as good, intentional or accidental.
🔔 A good way to begin incorporating bells into your craft is infuse them into any typical ritual that you’re comfortable with, or even just a prayer or moment of contemplation at your altar if you have one.
🔔 Give the bell a soft ring while focusing on the energy it’ll ripple and move, try to track the movements it creates and what it touches. The tone it’s sending out. The most primal and versatile use of the bell – and what many of the below come down to – is simply another manner of physically channelling energy, giving it shape and direction.
PROTECTION
🔔 “Passive” bells such as windchimes or small bells attached to belongings you don’t want disturbed are a starting point. They will scare off some forms of spirit all by themselves, especially if appropriately blessed, charmed or enchanted. Or cursed.
🔔 Gently tolling can draw energy into a ward or circle you are forming and enforce its protective properties, or for a simple cleanse, letting the sound travel to every corner of the area you are protecting. It’s a little more “cutting” than a smoke or incense cleansing, which I view as more “gentle” forms of cleansing. Both have their uses.
🔔 Harder tolling is, in my opinion, one of the most powerful ways in which to enforce a banishing – however, it’s best to you know what you’re doing with the bell before you go bashing it about.
DISCERNMENT
🔔 Bells can have quite the effect on your perception and awareness. Ringing and then stopping, listening to the silence left in its wake, can bring you new perceptions or make things you’d previously missed obvious. Let it attune your mind and senses to something new, whether that’s in your thoughts or something with a little more presence. Visualise travelling with the sound, taking heed of the energies it touches and disturbs. Take note of the echoes – you’ll learn what they mean with experience.
🔔 A set of windchimes can let you know if something is passing through or if there’s some unusual energy afoot – and, yes, it may also just be letting you know that it’s a particularly breezy day, but that’s witchcraft for you.
CONJURING
🔔 This can be as simple as calling good energies to witching tools, spell jars, tarot decks, crystals, altars and shrines, your favourite teddy bar, anything at all.
🔔 With spirit work, it can truly help to magnify your “calling”. This can range from gently bringing your latest offering to the attention of your friendly neighbourhood house spirit – all the way to trying to catch the attention of something more. Be mindful, however. As I said, I consider bells pretty powerful tools and a call that’s too loud is not good spirit work practise for the spirit worker’s own sake. It can really help coax something out of hiding if you’re gentle with it, though.
COMMUNING
🔔 Some use bells to mark the beginning and end of a ritual, and I’ve read that in Wiccan practise an altar bell can be used to invoke the Goddess, although as a non-Wiccan, I’ll welcome corrections on that if I’m wrong.
🔔 In my experience, very simple forms of communication via bell work a lot better than anything too complex – “come here” and “stay away” have already been covered, and other than that they can serve as greetings or signals of a start or end of some practise or ritual, the opening or closing of a door, etc.
🔔 They can also serve as a warning or a litmus test regarding spirits, a signalling of your presence and awareness, lack of fear, or willingness to defend – but be prepared to deal with whatever responses these garner.
BINDING
🔔 Bindings are where you most often see that famous (clockwise) circular motion of the bell, embodying the meaning of the spell. This can be a simple binding to seal a spell or charm or enchantment, or a spirit-binding.
🔔 Personally, spirit-binding is something I do as little as possible simply due to my beliefs holding the autonomy of spirits in very high regard. However, sometimes situations arise that call for it, and I’m aware that not all bindings are unwilling. Far from it – and some spirits are dangerous when unbound.
🔔 As an animist (believing that all things, including inanimate objects, contain a spirit of their own), I consider gently nudging a spirit back into its physical form a sort of semi-binding, and that can be useful.
I’ll leave you all with a note that I am an urban apartment-dwelling witch through and through, so I understand that we can’t all be jangling away at all hours. I myself have a glass windchime in my front window that makes a distinct but muted sound when disturbed by passers-through, and highly recommend wooden ones also. I also only use my small and relatively quiet suzu bell for my crafting – one given to me by my baba herself.
Feel free to add any of your own findings, and happy tolling.

#MonthOfSpreads2 Day Five: The Joy Spread
There is a powerful quote that states “Each day holds the possibilities for great discoveries and hidden joys.” I thought about this quote for a while and decided to create a spread that will allow us to look at the things in our lives that help cultivate happiness while overcoming the things that are blocking such joys. So much of the time, I know that I can focus on the things that are going wrong in my life, instead of the things that are going well. I harbor on the things that don’t make me happy, the things that take away from my joy. I wanted to start slowly changing my mindset over time and this spread has been helping me do just that. While I understand that a simple spread and thinking positively does not negate struggles and pain, much like anything else, it can however help by being a building block and a tool along the journey of finding joy through the difficult experiences we face. I hope this spread helps provide you with the insight you need to foster more joy into your life.
Step One: Shuffle your deck or mix up your divination tool of choice. How many times and however long is completely up to you.
Step Two: Pull four cards from your deck however you see fit.
Step Three: Read the spread as follows
1. What brings joy into my life?
2. How can I accept my joyous experiences?
3. Is there anything that may be hindering or blocking my happiness?
4. How can I overcome those obstacles?
