I'm kinda new with photoshop. May i know how to use the templates? And do you know how to put 6 gifs in one post too? Thank you!

To use templates you just take the template and adjust the size of the image you use so it fits on the template. It's just a guide so you know which size the image should have and which place it should be in. To adjust the size of your picture just use ctrl+t :)

I was asked how to make this. I used math and guide lines, but making a template was the easiest way to explain.

Save both images as PNG

36 pictures, but you can do any multiple of 4

96px wide by 96px long

if your number of pictures isn’t a multiple of 4, I recommend doing something like this.

Apply colorings or whatever to each of your pictures and then drag them onto the template.

Tumblr Dashboard Image Sizes:

Photo post: 500 by 750 pixels for dashboard view; 1280 by 1920 pixels for high-res version (except for superwide panoramas).

Photoset: 500-pixel width for one image in a photoset row. 245-pixel width for two images in a photoset row. 160-pixel width for three images in a photoset row. Gutters are 10 pixels.

Audio Post: 169 by 169 pixels for album art.

Link Post: 130 by 130 pixels for the thumbnail image grabbed by Tumblr from web link (if available).

Text Post: 125-pixel width for images added to a text post, which expand when clicked.

Avatar: 64-by-64-pixel icon next to posts.

Multi-Colored Screencaps

This is our final result:

This effect is a very popular trend and it's very easy to achieve.

1. Choose the screencaps you want to color. I am using caps from the movie Across The Universe.

2. Open them in Photoshop. We'll go step by step with each colorization, I am adding the settings I used for this edits, but you can modify them according to your cap

3. Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Curves> Output: 152, Input: 93

4.Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Brightness/Contrast: Brightness: 32, Contrast: 14

5.Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Vibrance (optional): 48

6. Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color: #feffe9, set it on multiply at 100%.

For the Blue Colorization:

Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color: #37cdf3, lighten at 15%

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Curves> Output: 56, Input: 40

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance> Midtones, -100, +6, +85

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance> Midtones, -100, +6, +100, set it on Soft Light at 30%

For the Pink Colorization:

Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color: #e5a0a0, lighten at 15%

Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Vibrance : 50, Normal at 35%

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance> Midtones, -3, -68, +45, normal at 67%

Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color: #feffe9, Multiply at 100%

For the Orange Colorization:

Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Vibrance : 73, Normal at 65%

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance> Midtones, -17, +30, -50

Duplicate the Color Balance.

For the Green Colorization:

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Curves> Output: 56, Input: 40

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance> Midtones, -13, +71, -13, Normal at 76%

Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance> Midtones, +26, +71, -16, Normal at 50%

8. After colorizing your screencaps, I recommend you to sharpen it (Filter> Sharpen> Sharpen) and apply Topaz Clean, here are the settings I used

And that's all! Easy peasy right?

I want to sign my gifs with a transparent writing...you know, the one which you can see write throw them but it it still visible. Have you understand what I want?

Write your text layer, and set the opacity to 50%, in that way it will be more transparent, but still clear.

after cutting the picture I can't add the background layer and I can't find fill>new color fill. I use this tutorial btw post/8104412994/cutting-pictures-with-photoshop. help me please? thanks^^

Which Photoshop Version are you using? that might be the reason why you can't find the fill

I don't have cs5 but i have cs6, so i don't understand your tutorials :(

They are pretty much the same for every version of Photoshop, the changes between cs5 and cs6 are not too much, so just look at them and try to follow, they are very similar.

Diff anon, but with realplayer, I can't convert without paying. Do you pay or is yours free and how do I get it free?

I have it free. I had it on realplayer.com, but I got it like 2 years ago so idk if isn't free anymore. Otherwise, I recommend you to search on the web for video converters. There a lot of free converters available :)

heey i just wanna ask you smth.I use realplayer for downloading videos but it downloads in flv format.how can i change it to mp4 format without using other programs?

Real player has another program that comes also installed when you install it, it is named Real Player Converter. Open it, and drag the video you want to convert and select to which format you want to convert it and that's it :)

The "frame in the middle of image" effect

I have no idea of how this effect is supposed to be called, but it's a very popular trend on tumblr right now so I'd love to share it with you

This is the final result:

1. Choose your picture. Add a colorization. I am using PSD 270, I love it!

2. Let's add textures!, I am using this wonderful texture from the Texture Pack by InnocentLexys. Set it on screen at 76%. Your image may look too bright after this so play with the curves.

3. Choose the layer where your picture is at, duplicate the layer, then go to Filter> Blur> Motion Blur, and do the next settings: Angle:-30º Distance: 3 pixels, set the opacity of the layer on 90%.

4. Now let's get the "frame in the middle of the image" effect. Follow this tutorial on how to create the stroke in a picture. Select the color of the stroke in White.

5. Let's add the text!. I am using font Futura Bold. Take into account that your text has to be smaller than your frame so it can perfectly fix on it.

And that's it, it's pretty simple don't you think?
