The high school emo girls have their hair in heartless curls now

Running up the stairs of a castle hiking my dress up but it’s actually a tk maxx and I’m wearing cargos (they’re too long for me)

Picture Haymitch, watching, as both of his mentees become finalists for the first time. He knows the announcement that both can win is a lie, he knows one of them will have to die, he expects them to part and see who lasts or maybe for Peeta to give up and let Katniss win. The former announcement is revoked, Peeta insists someone has to go home.

Then Katniss pulls out those berries, staining her hands red like her lips. Imagine everything he was thinking; he could finally bring one of them home, then one of them goes and does that. She hands Peeta the berries, they both take a mouthful.

Maybe he doesn’t watch, maybe he had already stopped. Maybe he watches through his fingers and hopes one goes first and the other can be saved. They have to have their victor.

Maybe something worse happens. Maybe Seneca Crane stops the games, announces them both victors, and Haymitch brings them both home. Maybe he has to mentor them for life, maybe they’re never safe again, maybe they’ll lose everything like he did because like her they just couldn’t abide by the rules.

The three of them will never get off the train, constantly watched by Snow, forever in fear.

Imagine going to the reaping every year and not just hoping your child and the sole provider of you household doesn’t get reaped but also having to look at the man who once threw a rock at your head.

Alright. How is it cheating that Haymitch used the force field to win. The game makers put it there, he just used the environment to his advantage, the same as if Katniss impaled someone with a stick you know. Plus the capitol citizens would probably have loved the ingenuity. I don’t think Haymitch was punished for cheating, because he didn’t really. I think he was punished for being a victor from 12. Because Snow is mad. And he hates 12.
