I just recently had some help with a personal financial crisis and it meant the world to me. Now my sister needs that kindness.
My sister started this gofundme to help with emergency vet bills. Her dog was badly injured when another dog pulled his jaw through a fence (warning for blood in one of the pictures on the original fundraiser).
Our family is helping however we can, but these past 4 months have been incredibly tough. I've donated and now I'm sharing here in the hopes that dog lovers and other kind souls will at least share it to see if we can help Qilin come home & return to a quality of life.

UPDATE 3/23/25 - Qilin is home! He had his surgery, which cost another $6k, but he is finally on the mend. We are at 5k of an updated goal of $10,000 after all the emergency, vet and specialist, and surgery costs.
My sister is hosting a fundraiser and garage sale in the Austin area today. I'm in the Chicago area, so I can't drop in, but the gofundme is still accepting donations.

“nobody wants to work anymore” and then you get autorejected by the AI reading your resume before it ever reaches a human because it doesn’t contain the right buzzword. “nobody wants to work anymore” and you have to submit a cover letter but you get instantly rejected anyway for answering a question the wrong way. no they won’t tell you what the right way is. “nobody wants to work anymore” but companies are posting fake job postings to look like they’re growing to impress investors. “nobody wants to work anymore” but you get ghosted only to be rejected six months later by an automated email. “nobody wants to work anymore” I hope you are ejected into the void of space
I was getting suspicions but now I'm very 100% sure that most of this website's userbase hates Palestinians and not passively. I'm now fully 100% comprehending that the vast majority of this website's userbase passes by any mention of Palestinians and seethes to their core and the only reason little of it came out was because you thought there might be social repercussions for attacking Palestinians in our time of need. All it took was an easily debunkable false accusation to get people to attack people undergoing genocide as well as a genocide survivor, and now he's been stopped from doing the work he has spent months doing. I will not allow this experience to go undocumented or forgotten. Those who partook in the harassment know what they've done and the unspeakable repurcussions of it. I expected this honestly, because that is exactly what happened to BLM and other Black rights activists since 2014; a cycle of unbelievable praise before horrendous abuse and harassment once they stopped being deified. I also saw the way people treated Moataz Azaiza after he evacuated Ghazzah, and expected the same to happen to Ahmed, who also survived unspeakable things for months in an accelerated genocide, and got harassed and attacked by the THOUSANDS on tumblr after this harassment campaign was put out. I will not forgive any one involved, especially not for what they've done to Ahmed.
