I’m gonna start sharing headcannons so si
For one, I headcannon Azul as extremely touchy. Either as a love language or it just comes naturally.
Since the tweels are usually close to him during deals, Azul ends up extending a hand and playing with either’s sleeve or hand.
Floyd is especially respondent to the touch. He will lay on Azul’s lap for fun while denying it in front of people just to see them get all worked up. He usually does it during a deal to distract someone. Though, Azul would rather Floyd not do that as people start to blame Azul for distracting them when it was all Floyd’s fault.
(Second) Riddle on the other hand didn’t grow up with touch in a warm setting. It was always a drag away from his mother or a hand on his shoulder for a photo and that was it. He usually dislikes when people touch him.
So when Azul started to gently lean in closer when working together: it made Riddle feel extremely surprised.
When they got together, Azul’s touch got more consistent and he would unconsciously hold Riddle’s hand or twirl his hair. Riddle as well slowly learns to get used to touch in a warm feeling.

i’m still not totally decided on whether riddle will go a little crazy like nezuko did, but it is very to fun to imagine him just completely losing himself to his feral anger. at that point, he’s long past the need to survive. he just wants to pummel that demon from rage and not much else.
maybe i’ll let riddle shapeshift and feel tall, as a treat

I need someone to understand that my brain has latched on to the idea of Muzan being what Riddle could have become if he stayed as a tyrant from book one, everyone losing against him and not rebelling anymore about it and he became a demon while still holding on to that toxic mindset.
Muzan rules his demons using fear, threats, and killing off those he finds useless. That may have worked for him in the millennia he ruled as a demon but it was never really working. No demon could find the blue supper Lilly he so desperately searched for to be “Prefect”, none of the demons could ever kill off the entire demon corp. He could never find the demon to conquer the sun in all those centuries because those demons lost/threw away thier humanity for thier own desires of power.
Demons are creatures that never change or evolve beyond from what they are. Why would they need to? They can live forever, never die from age or disease. They have powers so strong that can kill many humans easily that it’s almost god like in a way.
The question is, how in the world do they get that? The answer is? Muzan?
Muzan never changed anything about himself. He saw himself as a god, one that is immortal, powerful, above petty human squabbles, someone who is eternal.
But not perfect.
He couldn’t survive the sun and he hated that. He couldent be the prefect god if he couldn’t even survive living under sunlight. If he could just find the blue spider lily or find the demon that could conquer the sun, then he would be a perfect god. Unchanging,powerful,eternal.
But because of his refusal to ever change, to understand humans and care for things other then himself, he never could.
He is nothing more than a narcissistic, weak and petty man that pretends to be a king, but one that will always be hated and eventually forgotten.
That is where Riddle is different.
In the beginning, Riddle was nothing more than a tyrant that also ruled by fear and rules, believing to be the most correct because of his mother. Unchanging as well.
But that all changed when Ace, Dice, Grim and the MC stood up against him and beat him out of his overblot that he started to change.
He saw the hurt and wrongs he caused, listened to his student’s pain, and for the first time in a very long time, listened and changed.
And that is what saved him from his path of becoming Muzan.
Riddle opened his mind and learned beyond from his mother’s world. He learned from different perspectives, listened to others, talked with them, tried out different things then what his mother always told him, and he evolved because of that.
He changed from a young tyrant that held on to his rules, scared that if he ever strayed from them, strayed from his mothers teachings and plans, from that top spot, he would have nothing and be all alone, to someone always learning and changing, learning to understand other and connecting with them and always learning something new.
He is becoming a young Queen that while strict, is willing to listen and evolve with others.
It is through that desire to be better is what (possibly) helped him keep his humanity, keep his memories, and help him conquer the sun (Possibly. Don’t know if that’s going to be the care).
A tyrant king that never had connections and only desires control vs a young queen that’s still learning and fires to have connections. I think that’s a pretty fun thing to see.

What if: Riddle somehow got transported to the Zom 100 world?

can you imagine the amount of Hijinks that could happen with a fiery tempered boy that knows how to set things on fire with a group of adults that does crazy shit n their bucket list while also always somehow surviving zombies?
Epic chaos while also getting Riddle a whole lot of childhood experience he never got.
Zom 100 is all about loving your life like it’s your last after keeping yourself from living that life for so many years.

ooooo!! no i have not heard of this, but it sounds very interesting.. that kind of setting would actually be perfect for exploring riddle’s development, i’d love to see how that’d play out.
riddle would likely try his best to be responsible, even in the face of so many adults who throw caution to the wind, because it’s just… what he’s used to. he’s expected to be the skilled leader, so he’d try everything he can to fulfill that role even when faced with such a threat.
going from trying to keep as many people alive and safe, stressed and carrying everything on his shoulders, to learning how to value his own happiness even in the midst of danger… i think that’d be a perfect lesson for him. what point in survival is there if he’s going to be miserable? i’d love to see the transition where he does learn to take advantage of things to live his life to the fullest.

I wanna hear more about Riddle being an hourglass shaped baddie if you don't mind
i will be honest, me headcanoning him to have an hourglass build is primarily projection on my part. that shit is so dysphoria-inducing sometimes i had to give it to my fav. also just the way his clothes fit—i know he's canonically just very thin with a slightly smaller waist, but the cupcake shape of a lot of his coats exaggerates that effect. evidence at the bottom of the post though, he's definitely snatched. anyway, here's your warning that this entire post is very headcanon-heavy, as are most of my posts lol
i think that, with how many layers that riddle usually wears, nobody usually realizes how he's actually built. they can just generally tell that he's thin with long limbs, but the coats on top of vests on top of button-ups means that there's some bulk hiding his build. there's also the fact that he would've been very thin at the beginning of the year, but has probably loosened up on his diet a bit so that he's consuming more than the bare minimum. so honestly i don't even think he realizes his own being an hourglass until well into the school year, and it's not like he's the type to wear extremely form-fitting clothes (he's def still a cardigan wearer)
but i think the only time that anybody really paid attention to riddle's build beyond a passing compliment of how his clothes fit (from cater and vil ofc) was during the stitch litb, because. i mean c'mon they're (mostly) teenage boys and boy-adjacent entities (lilia—the so-called responsible adult here—and riddle) in bathing suits, they're gonna be comparing builds, especially with azul's sleeper build havin ass and jack's... being jacked. not even mentioning lilia there.
but riddle is wearing a cropped shirt and then he takes his shirt off at some point. and being a titty haver, about half of the others are checking him out. (ace. ace is checking him out. bisexual ass. but also azul and floyd because they're also gayasses for riddle, c'mon). and they come to realize that riddle is snatched???
at this point, riddle's put on a decent amount of weight by not eating the bare minimum anymore, so he actually has some meat on his bones. and having previously done ballet (six damn years!), having been in the equestrian club for two years, and being part deer fae, means he's got great legs. but that also means that those legs (and by extension, those hips) have muscle. so between the muscle that now actually has fuel to grow, and riddle actually gaining some fat, we know where that generally goes—riddle having a decently prominent hourglass figure.
ace, having once hugged riddle toward the beginning of the year and easily felt their spine and ribs through multiple layers of clothing, is incredibly confused. both by the tits (riddle binds religiously during the school year, trust, but putting on weight means that the girls are unfortunately girling, dw he has a top on though) and the fact that he isn't skin and bones anymore.
i don't think the others would be particularly bewildered by his build—jack would probably ask what riddle does for their legs, but jack is jack—but they definitely wouldn't have expected it. azul's back is probably aching at the memory of book 6 though lmao

a happy, lively family (and other unfamiliar things)
On the surface, Idia and Riddle seem like complete opposites, but I honestly think they're one of the most compatible pairings in TWST because of how many parallels they share.
Their biggest parallel is their upbringing. Both of them grew up isolated, trapped by other people's expectations, and desperately wanting something as simple as freedom and genuine friends. Those shared experiences give them a foundation for understanding each other in a way very few people could.
They also think in remarkably similar ways. The cooking event is a perfect example: both of them got caught up trying to follow the recipes with absolute precision until the ghosts pointed out that the instructions were meant to be guidelines, not strict rules. Riddle also praised the programming books Idia created in his dream for being so clear and organized. Riddle's way of thinking seems perfectly suited to working alongside Idia. They're both incredibly intelligent, and intelligence can often be isolating. For someone like Idia, who rarely finds people who can keep up with him intellectually, it must be so exciting to work with someone like Riddle. You can already see that during Book 7, Idia seemed genuinely happy and energized when Riddle picked up coding so quickly.
They also share a love of animals. During the Nightmare Before Christmas event, both of them showed they understand how to approach animals and explained it well to others. The difference is that Idia gets a little too excited in practice and ends up scaring them away. I love imagining Riddle introducing him to the Heartslabyul hedgehogs and gently teaching him how to approach them. It's such a sweet image.
More than anything, though, they're both people who desperately need love, reassurance, and affection. They're guarded in very different ways, but underneath those walls they're both incredibly loving, arguably more than most characters. That's why I think they'd fit together so naturally. They would love each other wholeheartedly, which is exactly what both of them need.
Their love languages complement each other beautifully, too. Idia needs to hear that he's loved, and Riddle is someone who's honest and direct about his feelings. I can easily imagine him being incredibly gentle and openly affectionate with the person he loves. On the other hand, Riddle clearly needs physical affection to feel reassured. Looking at how affectionate Idia is with animals, I can't help but think that while he's awkward around strangers, he's probably extremely physically affectionate with someone he completely trusts, someone he considers his safe person. A bit like a cat, affectionate but very selective about it.
The best part is that neither of them would ever have to wonder whether they're loved enough. Because they're both such deeply loving people, neither would end up feeling like they're the one who cares more. They'd constantly reassure each other, and for two people who've spent most of their lives feeling alone and misunderstood, I think that's exactly what they deserve.
silver and riddle being vulnerable with each other. both of them being so used to being on guard—one as a knight, having to watch for threats; the other raised in a turbulent household, having to watch for threats—that when they come together, they can't help but fall apart into each other's arms.
the warmth of their bodies mingling as they just lay beside each other, still in their uniforms as their tired eyes look for every little detail they can find.
the mole under riddle's left eye. the folds of his lower eyes lids.
the faint scar from a particularly rough training session engraved on silver's cheek. the natural sparkle in his eyes.
feeling each other's hands together—both calloused in different ways, in different places. one pair pale and dainty, cold as glass—the other pair warm and strong, yet knowing not to use that strength.
the metal of a sword does not scratch the delicate surface of porcelain.

i think i've mentioned this before (see the tags), but atit!riddle isn't twisted from the QoH, he's twisted from the spinning wheel from sleeping beauty. i think it's fun how it shows in different ways.
a) his rebelliousness. he explicitly kind of hates the QoH's rules in this au, and while he isn't as outspoken about it as he is in his b7 dream, he definitely pushes trivial boundaries and questions authority when they're acting stupid (crowley, he gets on crowley's ass a lot). the spinning wheel, despite all needles being outlawed, still appeared just in time to prick aurora (ik it was maleficent's magic, dw)
b) his interest in sewing. this one is pretty self explanatory, but he's very skilled with a needle and thread. if crewel has a tedious embroidery job that needs to be done, he'll ask riddle if he wants to do it. (riddle actually ends up interning and working at crewel's old apparel company! crewel himself set it up!) riddle was the mvp of the fairy gala outfits, he helped vil and crewel finish them so much quicker
c) being trey's younger brother makes it even more fitting. trey is primarily twisted from the mad hatter. a hatter is someone who makes hats. do. do you catch my drift here.
d) this is a lesser point, but the irony of being with silver, who is twisted from the sword of truth. both of them are twisted from sharp instruments used to cause harm—one to slay the dragon, the other to send the princess to sleep. it's a fun parallel for the "roommates". (i need to design their junior year dorm uniforms—malleus appoints them housewarden and vice housewarden respectively—because they look so tuff. you'll see!)
