Most of the best people I know are, eheh :} I am glad you found each other.
It was quite the party, indeed! Three of the most wanted priate crews, legendary samurai, crime lords...why, even two of Whitebeard's crew came, as well, I heard. Not to mention the shock that not only did Kaido have a son, but he joined the fray against him.
A moment of pure chaos, for certain. Ah! But Crocodile was one of the ones Luffy brought with him, actually. An interesting alliance, given he was the one who got him put away in the first place.
It's hard to believe...Roger feels like a legend to someone like me, yet here are two who were actually with him. Really puts things in perspective, realizing that I too stood on the grounds of events that will later feel the same to others.
*the pressure runs a chill down his spine at its weight, but Heat doesn't flinch away. It doesn't feel dangerous, at the least*
In the path to the One Piece, some things are inevitable. And facing off against Shanks and his crew was one of those, given our Captain's score to settle. Our paths crossed once before that, but he refused to face Kid. Instead, one of his crew gave a warning shot...which took his left arm above the elbow. Seeing the fleet there in Elbaph, he felt it was his time to fire back, to make Shanks face him.
*he smiles, sad but proud*
Maybe not, but we also didn't try to talk him down. As his co-commander, that would have been my duty. We chose long ago to follow him to hell, if that's what it took, and we believe in him still. We just weren't prepared for such a swift retaliation, before we'd even acted. I think it must have been his Observation, somehow.
But...thank you, for your reassurance. Even if part of me will always carry guilt for giving up something we worked so hard for, I would rather us have our lives, to see another day and try again. After all, punk never dies, we're all too stubborn to stay down.
