make me choose bellamy blake or clarke griffin â by copkillian
echoxazgeda:
The brunetteâs brow knitted together when he spoke. It took her a moment to realized what it could mean if he didnât understand what she was saying. âSkai Kru,â she practically hissed the words as she glared at him. On second though maybe she should let him make all the noise, and get dragged away like so many others. The temptation to make noise of her own to draw the attention was strong. Though there was an odd sensation that seemed to squelch the vindictive train of though before it ever really left the station. She watched as he tried to fuss with the lock. It was slightly quieter then his earlier kicking but still not going to work if he didnât want to get hung by his ankles.Â
âThey take the ones that are strong,â she spoke slowly. His language always felt so awkward on her tongue. Even if sheâd learned it as all warriors had. It still didnât feel right. âYouâll end up bled dry if youâre not careful.â she couldnât quite pin point what it was that made her want to help him. Keep him in his cage and away from the mountain men. Part of her didnât seem to mind the other part was royally pissed off about it. Sheâd spent so many days.. maybe weeks⊠hell it could have been months at this point, worrying about herself. Making sure she didnât end up like so many others sheâd seen ripped from their cage. Just as her mind was trying to comprehend this new found protectiveness for complete strangers, no enemies was a better term for him the door opened. Voices flooding the deathly quiet room. âJust stay quiet.â was all she offered before tucking herself back in to the corner of her cage. Her eyes shifting to watch the men that entered the room. She could feel her breath ball up in her chest as she waited for their every move. Her heart speeding up just a bit as their footfall brought them closer to where her and the sky man were.Â
he idly took the hissed word in his direction. he was pretty sure the more he hang around with the damn grounders he would speak their language quickly enough. even if a part of something whispered the answer to him anyway. he learned a long time ago not to question all of the words. or all of the things he just knew. whatever natural dislike she had in her by his mere presence, seemed to quell when they heard movement near the door. hushed words washed over him as he actually did what she said. sliding back into the cage, he did his best to look small. it was an interesting movement. not something he had ever done since landing on the ground. even before, he did his best not to be noticed but truly going for meek had never been part of the plan.
anxiety spiked in, fear. it tasted wrong on his tongue but he said nothing. did nothing as he watched them men move about the room. they came towards the caged. through veiled eyes, hidden by his thankfully unruly hair, he watched their movements. listened as they mumbled to each other and chose something. what little fight they had in them was barely there after a prod from what could have been a cattle rod. it was maybe minutes but from the pounding of his heart, Bellamy could have sworn it was hours, until they finally dragged them over. he watched them be sedated and hung. quietly he kept his breathing low, control. his mind going through his process of dealing with fear. he was not afraid. an inner mantra that soothed his nerves and helped him think clearly.Â
with time they two guards shifted out of the room and once again they were left to nothing but deathly silence. turning his attention to the woman beside him, he just looked at her for a moment. words didnât leave his lips but he was already planning all of the ways he could kill every last one of them in the damn mountain.Â
echoxazgeda:
Echo could barely count how many times sheâd woken up in her cage. She has bruises that mimicked the pattern of the metal. There were the only real sign of any passing time in the hell she was currently living. Sheâd sat staring at the new comer in the cage next to her, for how long she didnât know. But she shifted a bit when he started to stir again. She growled out a warning in her native tongue. They only tool the strong, not that she cared much for anyoneâs survival but her own. That was how it had to be here. You had to look out for you, there was no comradely when everyone was inside a cage. At the mercy of the mountain monsters. The thought nearly made her chuckle, monsters. They were men, flesh and blood like she was. But they were on the out side, she wasnât.Â
Turning her body so she could look at him fully her snapped her warning again. Her fingers curling around the bars between their cages. âShof op!â slipped from her lips harshly but quietly. The last thing she needed was to have him draw attention to their row.Â
groaning low to himself, he shifted his gaze from the damning world around him to the grounder sitting in the cage next to him. her words washed over him but in that moment they didnât mean much. bellamy could have guess of course but hell he wasnât in the mood for that. there was a piece of him that answered gently. silence. quiet. shut up. was it his? maybe. nothing made sense in his head for the moment so he focused on dark eyes and abused flesh. âi donât understand you,â not a lie, but not the full truth. his body had shifted towards her, the broad expanse of his chest facing her for a moment before twisting again.
a little more quietly, following her assumed request by instinct, he shifted the lock with trembling hands and twisted it so he could see it. maybe he could have picked it.. if he fucking had something to pick it with. frustration filled him just before it was followed by a wave of despair. he was supposed to help them. he was supposed to get the ones trapped out. how in the hell was he gonna do that when he was in a damned cage? leaning into the cage door for a moment, he sighed out words in one breath.Â
Consciousness seemed to return to him in stages. His mind remembered the feel of chains on his wrists, the collar digging into his throat. A needle, fighting, screaming, it supplied all of those things readily but he couldnât trace the line of events. Instead of prying his mind open he tried to shift his body, Bellamy than realized the cramped feeling wasnât just in his mind. Metal met bare skin. With the slow flutter of his eyelids he finally took in the sickly colored room. Cages as far as he could see. A cage just like his. Hissing slowly under his breath, he shifted and groggily moved to sit up right. He had the feeling it wasnât the first time he had woke to the cage and moved but he wasnât going to count the seemingly drug induced hazy moments.
Instead he focused on the steady ache in his bones and pushed against the cage door lightly. The ache in his lips clawed at him so for a brief moment he leaned back on the metal. The pattern indenting into his skin as he leaned his head back. âFuck,â fell from his lips more growl than words as he finally took a moment to take full stock. In a quick bout of rage he hissed, âfuck, fuck, fuck,â his feet kicking the door in his frustration before he leaned back again and noticed the other next to him.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
Clarke could feel a slight heat spread across her cheeks. With everything sheâd been dealing with on the ground. To be bested in the moment by a rusty door seemed ridiculous. âI appreciate it.â Her hands listed to readjust the back over her shoulder as she shook her head. Though the smile that curled at the corner of her lips couldnât be helped. The blonde shifted in her place, moving to watch as Bellamy finally pried the door open. The stale air the wafted through it was nothing inviting. Her nose wrinkled a bit a she looked down. âLet hope we find something good.â she muttered as she stepped in front of him. Carefully descending the stairs.Â
There was something ominous about the whole place. The only light that they really had was that from the open entrance. But even that was starting to fade as the sun got lower and lower in the sky. âWe should try to find some kind of light source.â she offered looking behind her as she reached the bottom of the stairs. âOr weâre not finding anything in this place.â Looking a head of her she tried to squint a bit, seeing if she could make out anything in front of them.Â
Letting her walk by him, he shifted his weight on the stairs while his eyes slowly tried to adjust to the lack of light. The stale smell made a piece of him want to scrunch his noise, but he kept the childlike shift in his face completely mental. Instead Bellamy heard her mentions something about a light source and chuckled lightly. âWhat you didnât think ahead,â he teased light as he shifted the bag on his back and pulled out one of the few makeshift flashlights they had been holding the camp. âNot sure if you should get one of these,â was added with the same tone as he held out one of the two for Clarke.Â
He wanted to leave his worries at the camp. The deep worries that he could taste on the back of his tongue. He had been fighting the feeling of drowning all morning, he didnât want to keep fighting while he was trying to actually do something for those damn kids. Bellamy didnât want Clarke getting another - jolt of the terror that had seeped into his bones. His motherâs words always ringing in his ears. âIâll be happy if we can find some blankets in this place,â he paused to walk down the stairs fully himself, his hand turning on his own light source. âI am not even going to pray about weapons because we both know the chances of that,â his words stopped like that with a huff.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
Clarke smiled at the last little squeeze of his hand before bring up the map she had for them. âYeah.. this way.â she announced as she moved towards where the entrance was supposed to be. âA big arrow would be pretty helpful at the moment.â she chuckled as her eyes scanned the area around them. The tension form earlier was still in the back of her mind but it seemed a bit easier to push aside. She wasnât exactly sure how long they had been looking when her foot collided with something solid. Almost causing her to trip before she corrected. Her arms flying out to steady herself.Â
âFuck..â she cursed, whatever sheâd hit definitely upset her foot. âI think I found something.â she called back behind her tucking the map away before she bent down. The brush and dirt giving her a good fight as she tried to clear off what sheâd almost tripped over. âI think its a handle..â was added over her shoulder. The more she uncovered the more she could make out a door. She even tried giving the handle a tug but it seemingly was far to heavy for her by herself. She let out a little grunt as her grip slipped and she landed backwards on her back side. âThat didnât happen..â was all she got out as she frowned a bit.Â
there was a pleasant feeling hearing her laugh lightly at his lame joke. helped him push past everything else and just do is best to focus. although if he were being honest, focusing on the blonde that was not only about to move but nearly tripped on her own feet. instinctively his arms began to move before she righted herself without him and he just lifted a brow. Bellamy held in his chuckle as she as he thinned his lips into a line and she leaned to bend down. it was in that single moment that he could honestly saw that earth wasnât turning out to be so bad. not that it had something to do with the view of Clarke bending or anything. no he was completely task orientated.Â
where ever his thoughts were going completely left him as she tugged on what seemed to be a door handle by her words and was flung backward. that time he couldnât stop the low chuckle as he moved towards her quickly and moved to help her stand. âDonât worry. I wonât tell anyone,â he teased lightly as he made she she was standing perfectly fine on her own before he moved to take a look. definitely a door. which was actually a damn good sign. reaching down himself he gripped the door and understood why it was difficult to open. the rust ate away at much of the metal, causing a groaning noise to fill the air as Bellamy finally thought to use his hatchet to pry it open with a growl.Â
âthere we go,â come out in a huff as he looked towards the day light casting a harsh glow into the darkened bunker. âlooks inviting,â was added as he turned to look at her.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
Clarke stilled when he turned around to speak to her. Her head tilted for a moment, as she waited for what he had to say next. Oddly she wasnât surprised by it either. She knew that he was right. There was no need for them to focus on what they couldnât control. They were both going to drive themselves insane if they did. She let a very small soft smile curl at the corner of her lips when he took her hand. She nodded her head in agreement. âI think that is a good idea.â she offered with a little sigh. Shifting, she moved so that she was closer to him. The contact of their hands soothing some of the nerves that had been balled up in her stomach. It was the usual effect that being connected in such a manner had.Â
âI promise I will do my best to focus on now.â she stated in a determined voice. It would make the day a whole lot better. Giving his hand a little squeeze as she did so. The blonde let out a slow breath as she smiled up at him softly. âNow we really should figure out where the door to this place is, or weâre going to be suck out here in the dark. Which is kind of like a trip to the gallows.â
Smiling lightly at her agreement, he was caught off guard by the light laughter that danced off his tongue at her mention of being stuck out in the dark. âYeah that is a bit of an understatement,â he agree quickly as he squeezed the hand between his fingers gently before letting her go and turning back towards the area that the bunker was supposedly meant to be. âSo, within this general area than,â the question was accented by a hand movement in the air from him as Bellamy just narrowed his eyes at the landscape in front of him.Â
âWell, Lead the way, Princess,â his teasing tone stuck to his words as he glanced back at her and gestured as if he was meant to roll out a red carpet. The nickname hadnât come from him originally but it was like he took it and laundered it for his own purposes. There was something nice about the way it rolled off the tongue. âYou have the map so,â he paused to chuckle at himself with a shake of his head. âNot that there would be a big arrow pointing toward it or anything,â it was a mumbled statement more so to himself with a roll of his eyes.
braveprincesssclarke:
Clarkeâs eyes searched the clearing off in the distance. Her head nodding a bit at his response. He was probably right, everything seemed to be reclaimed by nature out here. This was probably no different. Turning her head she settled her focus back on him as he drank the water. His answer somewhat reassuring that maybe this was worth the trip. She wanted to stay optimistic. Hold the hope that theyâd actually find something helpful. Reaching out she took the water back. Taking another swing as she scrunched her nose. âI refuse to even think about the possibility that there is just expired food..â she countered handing the bottle back before straightening up. âIâll be happy if we just find blankets, its getting cooler, weâre going to need them.â slipped past her lips as she straightened the pack on her back.Â
The blonde was doing everything in her power not to thing about everything that was going on. She didnât want to think about what was going to happen if they could get a Jaha to pardon Bellamy. The though alone made her feel like her heart was being ripped out. She could only imagine what would happen to her if it came to that. She couldnât bare him leaving.. being out in this wild place by himself. Not because she didnât think he could take care of himself. She knew he could. But because she didnât know if she could be whole with out him. And that scared her⊠more then the grounders ever could. She could feel her chest tighten a bit as she thought about it. Clarke quickly pushed it all away.Â
âWe⊠Should keep moving.â she cleared her throat as she tucked her hair behind her ear. She needed something to focus on. Or she was going to be stuck in her head. It was a mess to be in right now.
Feeling his attempt at a joke fail miserably between them, he just offered a tight smile as he tried to ignore the pressure that always seemed to exist between them. Normally it was a strange sort of comfort. Something they didnât need to name but heavy none the less. In the moment as they walked through the forest it wasnât as comforting as it could be. It was tense, and taut like whatever sat between them knew well enough that things may not go how they wanted it to go. Sighing to himself he just kept moving. That was the only thing Bellamy could think to do.Â
Thing was - while he tried to ignore it - it dug at the back of his mind. Something weighed her down the same way it was weighing him down. Yet somehow the thought that she was suffering with it was inexcusable. Bellamy was willing to suffer. He could do that. He could take that weight but he didnât want her to suffer too. âClarke,â jumped off his lips suddenly as he turned towards her, stopping his movements and focusing on her completely. âHow about we make a deal,â he questioned gently in a soft tone that he rarely used. âWe both try not to think about what we know could happen,â he started to explain - totally ignoring the fact that he didnât need to tell her what he was talking about. âWe focus on the present. We focus on the bunker. We focus on what we have now,â was added as he reached out for one of her hands to smooth the skin gently.Â
âI think if we both do that. This little trip of ours will start to feel like a trip rather than a distraction from the gallows,â while his tone held a slight touch of teasing he was serious about it all. If they worked together to not let it break them, something told him it wouldnât.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
The blonde gave a little nod before setting off to complete her  task. She trusted Bellamyâs choice so there really wasnât much to speak about on the subject. Gathering them both water and a pack of nuts that had been collected. She made sure to check in with Raven let her know where Bellamy and her were off to. Just in case something happened and they didnât make it back. Slinging the makeshift bag over her shoulder she headed towards the gate. Map in hand as she did so. She scanned over the rout sheâd mapped out. It seemed simple enough. As long as they didnât run in to any grounders they would be fine.Â
Once they were out side the gate she pointed in the direction they were headed. âHopefully this place will be easy enough to find.â With how the forest around their camp looked she could only imagine what cities looked like down here. Probably all taken back by nature. It made the artist in her happy, it was probably beautiful to see. But it wouldnât help them in their task for the day. Clarke made sure to keep in step with Bellamy. Not wanting to be to far ahead in case something happen and so he wouldnât loose sight of her. It wasnât likely to happen but one could never be too careful in these woods.Â
Clarke wasnât sure how long they had been walking when she decided to stop for a drink of water. But  she knew that they had to be close. Or she hoped they were. âHere,â she offered up the second bottle of water to Bellamy as she leaned against  a near by tree. âWe have to be near it,â her eyes squinting to see if she could make out any kind of clearing near by. Closing her bottle she took a moment to investigate the map. âWhat do you think weâll find in this place, â she asked her eyes lifting from the paper in her hands.Â
The relatively quiet walk through the woods was comforting and condemning all at the same time. It gave him time in his thoughts which was probably a bad thing. He knew they were supposed to keep an optimist thought when it came to what would go down with the ark. He knew he was supposed to be thinking of an inner fight to keep everything going. Problem was that Bellamy wasnât 100% sure he deserved any sort of forgiveness. Sure, the man hadnât died but it certainly hadnât turned out well anyway. What he did know was that he wasnât going to run. The thought made something twist in him that he couldnât name. Something he didnât want to toy with.Â
Clarkeâs words had his attention back on the moment at hand and he found a hand reaching out for the water. Mirroring her position on an opposite tree he took a drink and nodded his head. âI bet the under brush has grown over the entrance or something,â he offered lowly with a crack to his voice. Clearing his throat he took another drink before addressing her question. âWell, if it is a bunker than it probably has some things that would be useful,â he knew his words werenât useful so he decided to elaborate. âI mean it might have first aid stuff, clothes or blankets. Maybe guns,â the latter was more of a long shot he knew but shit he could damn well hope. âHopefully it isnât just full of expired food,â was added with a grumbled and a small laugh. That would be a fucked move - even if life did like to be a bitch.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
Clarke couldnât blame the apprehension Bellamy felt toward having the com  up with the ark. It didnât really play in his favor, but she had meant what she said. She was determined to find away to fix it. But that wasnât the topic at hand. Licking over her lips she gave him a little node as she started to walk with him. âI guess you would have to define what you class as interesting.â she offered with a small smile. Holding up the map so that the man beside her could see the black circle she had made on it she spoke. âThey gave me a location of supply bunker. They are hoping it will have something useful for use stashed there.â the words were simple as she glanced to him. She knew that he would probably feel the same way she did, it was worth the try but the reality of it all was that it may not be as helpful as the Ark thought.Â
âIts probably going to be an all day trip. I figured we could go scout it out together, no point in pulling people way from their jobs for the day.â Chewing at her lip she folded the map back up. âI can gather a few supplies for us, if you wanna designate people to be in charge..âÂ
Catching her eyes when she mentioned the bunker he found himself nodding. Okay if the bunker meant supplies that could be the exact something they needed to get ready for whatever was coming. Judging by the bite of cold in the air he assumed it would be chilly weather but on earth he really was expecting pretty much anything. âAlright,â he finally offered up on the subject. It wasnât like he needed to be overly vocal on it all. He was certain Clarke already knew exactly how he was feeling about it.Â
Mentally going over who he would choose he offered a small smile. âI knew who I will leave in charge so I am ready whenever you are,â his tone was quick but not biting as he nodded one more time in her direction before wasting no time in moving to find Miller. The conversation was quick as he left a few instructions before grabbing a few things he wanted and moving to the main gate to meet with the blonde. He weight of his hatchet was comforting as his hand found the wrapped up portion of it. Bellamy wasnât sure how long it took but soon enough he caught sight of her with a bag on her back.Â
âAlright, you have the map so lead the way,â he mumbled gently as he signaled for them to open the gate and he began to move out.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
Things were abuzz in the early hours of the day. Raven managed to rig up a video link to the ark. So kids were excited to finally get to talk to their parents. Clarke herself wasnât looking forward to having the conversation she was bound to have with her mother. Thankfully their were more pressing matters to deal with. As Raven took charge to set up a line for people that wanted to talk to their parents. Clarke sat in the makeshift tent that they had set up listening to Jaha direct her to a supply hub. Part of her was hopeful, it would be a big help to finally have some kind of supplies. She knew that winter was coming soon and she didnât want to think about what would happen if their werenât prepared.Â
Blue eyes watched as he pointed out on the map where he was specifically talking about. She made small marks on the map sheâd gotten out of the drop ship. As much hope as she had, she also understood that it was a long shot. There was no telling if anything was still there. It could have easily been cleaned out years ago. Repeating back his words so that he knew that she understood. Once she was sure that they were finished she folded the map back up. She left no room for a conversation about her mother. Instead she insisted he allow the parents of kids that actually wanted to speak to them have their time.Â
As she moved out of the tent she offered a small smile to Raven. Before calling out the name of the kid that was up first. Which she left the other girl to manage that. She set off to find Bellamy. It wasnât a question as to where he would be. They were almost finished the wall, so heâd been out early to oversee the last few sections. The closer she came to where they were working she could hear his voice over the surrounding noise. âBellamy,â she called out as she moved to where he was standing. âCan I talk to you for a minute, I have some news from the Ark..â she added pulling the folded map from her pocket as she spoke.Â
The day had started early for him. Before the sun rose he had the difficult task of actually getting out of bed. As of late it was almost torture but there was shit that needed to be done. Sort of shit that could potentially stand between a peaceful night sleep and one well - not so peaceful. With one last look behind him he was out the door and already getting things taken care of. The others were moving sluggishly for the morning but honestly it was exactly what he had been expecting. They were kids, Kids that werenât used to working so hard or on so little sleep in some cases. Bellamy couldnât hold them to the standards he held himself. Shit they might end up dead.Â
Time passed and there were breaks here and there to move from the wall and check on other things. Soon enough the sun was in the sky and he was back at the wall again. Two more shifts and it would be completely done. There was something satisfying about it all. Having something to keep his body and mind busy helped him not think of everything else he had to deal with. O was still MIA with her attitude so he was trying his best not to dwell. The thing that was really eating was the fact that he knew Clarke was working on things for communication with the ark. He knew it was happening and it made his danger senses go haywire. So, work was good. Work gave him something else to think about. Even if it was the ache in his body from the next thing he lifted.Â
Hearing his name called out caught him off guard. Instinctively his hand was out to signal Miller to keep downing what he was doing before turning around. Clarkeâs words had his lips forming a grim line before nodding and heading her way. As he walked by he checked on the people working the food station. Seeing the huge cache of nuts he smirked before finally making it to her. âSo, I imagine it has to be something interesting,â he questioned lightly trying not to let the anxiety get the best of him. Moving a hand to gesture that they could walk and talk in the direction of less people he began to move. âWell, donât leave me hanging.â
braveprincesssclarke:
She offered him a small smile when he silently agreed to her comment. Shifting away from a moment she allowed him to get situated. After which she easily took her place tucked against his side. This was the way that they had been sleeping for days now. It made her feel safe, and secure. Something she didnât get much of when they were awake and watching their backs constently. A light chuckle slipped from her lips as he spoke. âIâm not the only one guilty of that.â she chimed as she snuggled in against his chest. âIf only we had the luxury to not get out of bed if we didnât want to.â a sigh slipped past her lips at the thought. She never would have though sheâd missed the simpler days of sketching in her cell. But sometime that seemed like heaven compared to earth. âNow hush, weâll never get to sleep if we keep talking. Then weâll really have a hard time getting out of bed.âÂ
Wrapping his arm around her shoulders loosely a smile overtook his face at the feel of her against his skin. Huffing out a laugh Bellamy nodded again before turning his head so he could put his face in her hair. It seemed like that was always the position he went to when they were laying down and he wasnât about to complain about. âWell someone has to make sure they donât end up in a pit or worse,â was mumbled lightly as he closed his eyes and pulled her just a smidge closer. The moment the bossy tone came out her frowned for a second before he rolled his eyes behind his lids. âYouâre bossy even when we try to go to bed,â he added with a small chuckled before placing a soft kiss on her forehead and shifting his nose back into the golden strands. It had practically been seconds since they situated themselves but he could feel sleep already tugging at his consciousness. âGânight Clarke,â was all he had left before he stopped fighting and he let himself drift.Â
braveprincesssclarke:
Clarke couldnât help the smile that curled at the corner of her lips when he spoke. She was perfectly happy with the idea. Minus the though of him ever being dead. But that was besides the point. Shifting in her place she leaned in closer. Pressing a soft kiss against his lips before she pulled back to look at him. âIâm just telling you the truth.â she stated simply with a nod of her head. She would have never expected that this would be where they would be. Especially with everything that happened the first few days that they were down here. But now that they were, she couldnât imagine it being any other way.Â
She knew that they had very challenging days ahead of them.  In general being on the ground had been on trial after another. This wasnât going to be any different. She had hope that they could get through it. Especially if they stood together to face it. Letting her fingers play a bit at the curls just above his neck she let out a exhausted sigh. It had been a very long and tense day. âI think we both deserve a little shut eye now⊠weâve had a very intense day.â she offered softly. She was pretty sure at this point her brain couldnât take anymore information in. It had hit its limit.Â
Even when his lips still tingled from where herâs had pressed against his, he could argue with her. He had known that he was tired. His body had begun to protest what he was doing with the wall hours ago but he kept pushing. At the mere mention of rest it nearly sag out beneath him. Yeah he could definitely go for some sleep. Finally he raised a hand upward to touch her chin for a moment - mostly because he could before nodding his head and moved to lay on his back.Â
Shifting his body in the bed so he could accommodate her being next to him he sighed lowly. âYou know, you have been making it a lot harder to get out of bed lately,â he tried to push the anxiety that still lingered in him to the way side when Bellamy tilted his head so he could look in the blondeâs direction. âI just never want to move.â
braveprincesssclarke:
If the blonde was being honest with herself, she had no idea how to fix it. It wasnât just some minor problem they could wave their hands and make go away. She knew that, she did. But that didnât mean she wanted to accept that their only option was for him to leave. Her fingers shifted against his skin at the absence of his hand on hers. There was a small lift of the weigh on her heart when he spoke again. Trying was something, it was him not leaving, her not having to be with out him. She could work with that. Clarke let out a deep sigh as she tried to will away the tears that had built up in her eyes during their conversation.Â
âI donât know how either, but its worth trying⊠youâre worth trying..â Lifting her hand she let it rest against the side of his neck as she continued to speak.âYouâre not alone,â her eyes locking with his. âIâm going to be right next to you no matter what the outcome.â she added with a little nod of her head. She knew that they were going to have to make a solid plan. Look at all the facts and see how they could turn it around. It was the only way anything could be altered. But right now, she couldnât think.Â
There it was again. Her saying something that stirred the little boy in his heart. When her hand moved to rest on his neck - it took all there was in him not to lean into it completely. If it had been weeks ago he wouldnât have felt his heart swell so strongly. Bellamy wouldnât have believed that they would sit in a tent together with his soul bared in front of her only to have Clarke accept it. He probably hadnât even dreamed that one day someone would. His life had been centered around his sister - anything outside of that hadnât been an option but on the ground - it was possible.Â
âIf you say things like that Clarke,â a tiny smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he brought a hand to cup the one on his neck. Looking at her in that moment, he knew he could love her and it scared the shit out of him. From thinking about cutting of her hand to get the wrist band off to catching her from her pitfall. That single moment had changed everything. âI donât think death could ever make me leave,â they werenât teasing words, he wasnât joking. They were reverent and strong even if they were practically whispered.
