Week 1 of #sketch365
Microblogging with Pic Collage. Creativity in edtech through Google Apps for Education
Reading Innovator's Mindset by George Couros for a Massive Open Online Course (Mooc) These are my takeaways from the introduction.
Had the honor of listening to the Pirate, Dave Burgess, yesterday. His enthusiasm was inspirational. "It's not supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be worth it."
The Deathly Hallows of Rhetoric: pulling back the cloak of invisibility and exposing the tricks advertising companies use to make you believe you want or even NEED their product. For more info on the lesson that this sketchnote came from check out my blog post: http://www.middleschoolmind.com/the-teachers-blog/5-short-films-for-teaching-literary-devices the film/lesson is from "The Cow That Wanted to be a Hamburger" at the end of the post.
My #oneword for 2017. It's time to leave the security and safety of the comfort zone and open myself up to the possibility of new adventures.
Someone asked me about grading student's #sketchnotes . While I don't personally feel like it's something I would do in my classroom, I did make a sketchnoted version of a rubric in response to the teacher's question. If you feel you must grade a sketchnote, then use a sketchnote 😁
Loving this new "pen purse" for #sketchnotes on the go.
