Whatâs the biggest romantic fail youâve ever experienced?
âprobably being with, marrying and raising kids a man, the same man, for two decades, when i was, infact a big olâ lesbian. iâd count that as a twenty year fail.â

sydney: it just dawned on me that in my whole 17 years of life, i have never actually been black friday shopping
sydney: not sure how i feel about that frankly
sydney: feels like a rite of passage kind of thing, but i also don't want to get trampled in a target
heather: itâs not worth it, honestly. when my kiddos were littles i would go to get the âchristmas gifts of the year. the toys that always fly off the shelves, like tickle me elmo? and itâs frankly terrifying.
heather: expecially target. very overwhelming.
imsg: heather â soulmate đ
mila: you have the tree farm guy's phone number?
mila: right, yeah. it's okay though i think we can afford both if not.
heather: tis the season, lovie.
heather: yeah but i donât want to not get a deal, you know? ahaha usually theyâll give a good deal if u ask enough.
imsg: heather â soulmate đ
heather: hey, x. can you give me a good deal on trees this week? iâm on a budget, it being the holidays and what not.
heather: oh, shoot, sorry, love! that was for the guy at the christmas tree farm. iâm trying to get him to let me get some christmas trees on BOGO. one for the office, one for home, yâkno?
It had been a bit of a day for Elliot. Deadlines had stressed her out, sheâd been working on her first ever dress commission for someone and on top of that sheâd had a disgusting feeling of dizziness and fatigue dragging her down all day. She dumped her stuff down on the table closest to her, her hands steadying herself as she felt her head reel. âIâm sorryâŚâ She mumbled, eyes finding the person at the table and shooting them a gentle smile. âJust felt a bit dizzy for a moment.â
heatherâs attention had been dragged to the other, her motherly and doctorly instincts kicking in as she saw elliot all but collapse onto the table. worry lined her features as she approached the other, nodding at her words. âlet me get you a water? have you had enough to drink today?â she asked softly, as to not appear as overbearing. âhey, no need to apologize.â she smiled gently.Â
milaspierâ:
mila was mostly just listening to the other, nodding now and then as if to let her know she was still present. but her gaze just focused on heatherâs features, how sheâd light up talking about the subjectâ it brought a soft smile to her own lips. mila loved the holidays overall, halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, all of them. she loved spending them with her kids and making it extra special for them. however, she wouldnât consider herself as festive as heather. her eyes widen slightly when she mentions setting up the tree. shit, was it too soon? halloween was literally a couple days ago. â i think you may have mentioned it already. â she nods, â all that sounds great. i donât know about the tree though, maybe we should set some priorities? â the older woman suggested, it wasnât like they had a wedding to plan or anythingâŚÂ â i think weâll be lucky if adrian joins us for elf. maybe isaac, too. âÂ
heather nodded when the other confirmed that she had mentioned her exxcidedness, âthatâs what i thought,â she chuckled, a bit embarrassed. â-- the tree miiiiiight be too far, i agree. thatâll be reserved for the week before thanksgiving,â she pondered, staring lovingly at her wife to be. âi wouldnât even count on adrian,â the brunette sighed, âheâs a little mad at me. i took away his nintendo ds, âcause he was ignoring his chores- his exact words to that were, âi hate you, youâre the worst mom in the world.â so,â she sighed, âmaybe itâll be just us? and thatâll be fun, hm?â the pediatrician mused, placing a soft kiss to milaâs cheek.Â
saffronmontgomeryâ:
âItâs probably too early to put it up, but who cares? I already decorated my bedroom for Christmas, why only have a month of the festive feeling, when you could have a whole season of it?â She mused with a shrug. Was it considered a little weird to decorate so early? Yes, it had just never bothered her. If she could get away with it, sheâd keep her decorations up all year. âYou should make some hot cocoa cookies too - those are amazing.âÂ
âyes, thatâs what iâm saying! and it isnât just even about the holidays themselves, i think itâs just super fun to decorate the house differently, for a longer period of time. you canât keep halloween decorations up for multiple months and itâs just a hassle putting everything away for only about a month of festivity.â heather agreed, a smile on her features as she explained. she never really liked any holidays until her aunt had shown her how magical they could be and how decorating could be a nice distraction. (except for halloween... there was no changing her mind on that one.)Â âyouâre so right. why stop there? what about sugar cookies too? a whole cookie feast.â
there was this sense of peace in his life now in regards to the attack that took his memories. there wasnât much else for him to worry about â there was no more guilt that plagued his being. he had recently gone out and received the license needed for operating the motor bike he had purchased ( after selling his car ). now it was his first time actually getting to drive the bike â it was matte black and could climb to a high speed really fast, which was frightening at first especially with how fragile his head was. after driving it around a bit, he finally decided to pull into the cafe, kicking down the stand and then slowly pulling off his helmet. there was a smile on the lads lips, like a little kid on christmas morning. â one time in the eleventh grade, i bought all of the harry potter movies and it was the best thing i ever did â but now this is definitely the best purchase iâve ever made, â he spoke to the nearest person, he ultimately thought it was someone he knew â someone he had already told about the bike.Â
heather was not expecting her son to be the one who had pulled up to the cafe in the rather dangerous vehicle, but when it was revealed that it was in fact gray, her brows furrowed. when his words confirmed her worries, that he in fact purchased a motorcycle, a stern finger pointed towards the male, â grayson shaw, you better be joking with me right now.â a strong maternal tone in her words, a tone that was almost NEVER used, reserved for moments like these. she felt pretty guilty, expecially after seeing how happy it had made him- besides, he was twenty-two, he was an adult. she just couldnât see him as anything but her little kid and seeing him on something so .... reckless. âyouâre not driving that.â she stated, matter of factly, although she knew she didnât have much say in the matter, âwhere is your car, mister?â
â thank god halloween is over. itâs finally time for the best time of the year- the holiday season!â the brunette grinned ear to ear, taking a sip from the peppermint mocha in her hands, âi got tons of holiday themed stickers for my patients, and-- oh my goodness, do you think itâs too soon to put up the christmas tree?â she thought for a half of a second, âi think iâm gonna put it up when i get home, make some gingerbread, wrangle up the whole crew and watch elf! did i mention iâm super excited?âÂ
