Today for the first time in a year and a half, I'm within 10lbs of my ideal weight. I am still committed to the work it will take to get there, I just wanted to take a moment and reflect with you, especially those who have been a part of this very personal, arduous journey back to health. Wealth begins with health. I had menopause, torn cartilage, and arthritis all hit around the same time. Lots of personal and familial turmoil heaped on as well. Waking up feeling like why bother easily pervades your thoughts. Destroying your already healthy eating habits to self soothe hurts the recovery process yet it happens too. Not taking in daily physical activity of any kind compounds the situation. Even the best of us have moments of weakness. To say I stumbled along my journey is an understatement. You see, my point is, it only takes a moment to make a new choice and take new and different action. Although the goal was to lose 36 pounds, my daily focus was to be just a bit lighter everyday. In 11 weeks I lost 26 pounds of fat and added several pounds of muscle. Like I said, I am still crushing it every day whether I want to or not. Several of you have been asking me how I did this. When I hit the goal I will share it all, what I ate, what physical Fitness plan I have done including the changes, and my journal of triumphs and tribulations...
