Aenon sighed softly. Well, by the way Mikhail was scared of him as a child, the impression sure was different... but he knew better now... even if it did not change his view on their difference in abilities.
He knows he was just feeling envious of things that seemed to be so much more difficult for himself.
" I know... I am his big brother... but that doesn't mean he can't be better at things than I am. And... I do not mind it either. Pretty sure I wield a sword better in my non-dominant hand than he does. So we got both our talents. "
An attempt at a joke? Well, certainly an attempt. He didn't want any bitter feelings to manifest, nor seem like they had. Family was important, the one bond they always can trust...
Aenon looked at the flame lion, almost fascinated at the warm sensation of holding it. Warm but not burning... he never really used flame powers, felt too removed from that element... though he would trust Michael on that. Flames were after all... one parents element. So he would try to allow his fathers flame to guide him to what was buried away deep within. Perhaps just a small glimmer. Neglected power drawn to this source of energy.
"Aenon, you are better at things than your younger brother as well. You cannot forget that you are the son of the General of not one god, but two. Even if you cannot see it now, there is power sleeping inside you that you could never imagine."
Michael slowly draws his son over onto his shoulder, allowing him time to search within himself. Even if he couldn't find it this time, he'd have him try again... And again... And again until he got it. Just like when he taught him to fight, how to strengthen his other arm and give some use to his injured one. Michael would never give up on Aenon. Especially now that he knew without a doubt that he was his.
For a moment, he figured he should help Aenon more. Felt he owed it to him as his father... One who hadn't been allowed to be such for millennia. Yet, he shook that thought from his head. Aenon was a strong young man, he'd figure it out on his own. If not, then he'd offer his aid. For now, he'd just believe in his beloved son.
