( 咲く桜 🌸 ) — THE SUN WAS SHINING BRIGHTLY, SIGNALLING ANOTHER START AT THE ACADEMY. a very sleepy chisa entered the classroom, settling on a random desk. the night was quite long for the princess,     she had been handling some rather important documents and she had not slept much.

“ good morning nanami-chan ! ” she smiled as she heard the pinkette’s voice. “ did you sleep well ? ”

however as her student continued, she was surprised that nanami was curious about her status as an imperial princess. “ yes..? what about it ? ”

| ♦ | Such caring teachers had occasional drawbacks, lying made Chiaki feel like she had a stopped up exhaust pipe in her chest, thus the quick and suspicious. “ ... I-I didn’t sleep horribly- Thank you for asking, but...:”

“... Jumping from princess-ing to teaching sounds rather difficult... Was it?” She tilts her head, tapping her fingers together. “It’s befuddling to me- None of my previous tutors would have gone through such a shift in life, yet you’re the first teacher I’ve had to so enthusiastically teach...” | ♦ |

| ♦ | it was easy to grow engrossed in one’s own class without paying much thought to what lies below. She knew names and talents and impressions from passing in hallways, and what she’d gathered...

N-Not a lot. It bothered her, there was only so much you could know about a class from passing by and occasionally brushing shoulders..! ...Maybe it was due to the fact that an underclassman happened to be browsing through the same library shelf as her. 

“ ... So... Mysterious ...” She remarks, thinking aloud. She doesn’t quite register that it’s odd to say such things to a practical stranger. “ Is most of the 78th class like that? “

Chiaki may have been trying to break her habit of going for days without sleep but by God- She could go one more day. One more day wouldn’t hurt, right? Right...??? ... She wasn’t sure. Day three was always rough, she needed... A pick-me-up. An energizer. Extra batteries both metaphorically and literally, crap, she’ll shop properly later -- She couldn’t waste her precious time she had before she’d shut down completely, she knew who she had to seek!

“... Enoshima-san?” She inquired, brushing messy, pink locks from her face. “I... Need a favor of you, knowing how talented you are...” | ♦ |

| ♦ | “Ah- Quite a few things in the realm of prostheses... I could go into the complicated parts of everything, but I may bore you..! So, to be simple about it... Artificial limbs that are meant to ease the adaptation process- Along with that, Attachments to make simpler tasks easier, less so re-learning how to use certain things, moreso letting them be a part of you, thus, attachments that can function as writing utensils, straightedges, blades, the like... I’ve also made some breakthroughs in noise-cancelling and a few products for cancelling smell--”Realizing that she’s rambling, she stops herself. “Ahah... Um, basically, things in that realm with more to come. Things that make life easier for the people who need it...” | ♦ |

She gives a wide, shining grin towards the other, offering her hand. So kind, so incredible! This girl has an aura that matches Yumeno-san’s, and yet..! Tenko shakes head before offering her hand to the other, planning to give her the best data she ever could! “If it’s alright to ask, why do you need her to do this, Nanami-san?”

She takes Tenko’s hand, squeezing gently with both of hers. “ ... If I begin to try and tell you, two consequences are certain to occur. You’ll be completely floored by the complexity and backstory of such a thing, and the risk of my ideas being swiped into the hands of those who cannot possibly begin to know the depth of the issue this invention will solve unless it’s to reap in the millions and trillions of yens that may come as a result of this issue and the fame stemming from the beginning of what could possibly a new era, a new world increase 300-fold.” She explains, tone even, yet grave.

| ♦ | It was never in question how much Chiaki Nanami looked up to her teacher. She warmed up to her so quickly, it was simply... Amazing to her, having a teacher so caring...!! Chiaki was so very used to strict tutors who saw her just as an easy gateway to a sizable paycheck, Chisa Yukizome was different to her, someone more.

“ Sensei, Sensei, Yukizome-sensei! “ She called in a near-chant as she entered the classroom, earlier than the rest. She was always an early riser and she absolutely never just stayed up into morning to work on blueprints instead of having a decent sleep schedule -- Always ready to learn. Effortlessly studious. 

“ I’d like to ask something- Concerning your status as royalty...!” She explained, practically bouncing in her shoes. | ♦ |

“E-E-Eh!?” Tenko almost jumps back in surprise before stroking a strand of her own hair nervously, bouncing her weight between her heels. “W-Well, um,” Ahh! What a cute smile, she can’t just refuse now..! And yet she must warn Nanami of what’s about to come, right!? “Y-You see, Tenko… Tenko sweats like a demon when she trains, and her face turns just as red as an oni! And, and, she yells to get herself excited, but they’re as loud as a volcano erupting! She’s awful to watch train– surely she’ll disgust you!”

| ♦ | “ Hey, don’t worry about it... “ She insists, smiling a bit. “ I’ll be too engrossed to pay attention to all that. I won’t be disgusted, and even if I am, it’ll be a small price to pay. I’ve waded through polluted swamps to test out a water purifier before. “ She insists, seeming very willing to proceed with this data collection. | ♦ |

| ♦ | The human range of motion was truly fascinating. With Chiaki Nanami’s current objective, studying it was a must. However, a lethargic and sedentary lifestyle with much sitting around and blueprinting, she had to use someone else to study. Someone else to observe… An athletic.

A certain Tenko Chabashira seemed fitting. Close to the needed proportions as well.

“ Chabashira-san, “ The inventor inquired, tablet in hand, notes ready to be taken. “ I’d like to ask a favor of you … “ | ♦ |

Ohoho! Being called out specifically by another girl is quite the rare instance for Tenko! And being singled out by such an incredible girl who donned the title of both SHSL Inventor and class representative at that, the aikido practitioner can’t help but wonder what gave her the honors!

“Yes, yes!” The girl is already eager to help, even when she doesn’t know what is being requested of her. “Tenko will fufill your request in any way possible– helping other girls is important, after all!”

| ♦ | Ah, how compliant...! Such was greatly appreciated- After all, a willing subject was most optimal. Chiaki mentally applauded herself in her good choice, a small smile coming onto her face as she witnessed Tenko’s excitement.

“ Thank you...! It’s really just simple observation I need. “ Chiaki explained, tapping a few things down, now that her subject was so ready to help. “ I’d like to observe you while training. I’m gathering a bit of information on motion- My previous recordings were a bit obsolete ... “ | ♦ |

While it sounds like a 3 AM sleepover sort of question, the two weren’t particularly acquaintances, though Chiaki did know of Celestia and her talents. Gambling and the thrill people seemed to get from games of chance were fascinating, but her hair and the physics could be applied to her projects ... | ♦ |
