—Somewhere near Route 122—
A trainer had started his journey in the Hoenn region not too long ago. Though the only Pokémon in his party was his Gardevoir, who bonded with her trainer since she was a Ralts. But she had not won a single battle, and always got in her trainer’s way, she has been beaten by her “bonded" master.
"You’re so useless! Why couldn’t I have started with a Torchic, Mudkip, or even a Treecko like those PokéDex owners!?" the trainer yells furiously.
“Its… You’re fault!" the trainer points at the startled Gardevoir and with a bat he held, he smacks his Gardevoir.
"WHY!?" The Gardevoir gives a scream, unable to attack her own master, she didn’t want to injure someone who’s taken care of her.
"M-My!? Y-Your Gardevoir.." Nurse Joy spoke.
“Yeah, she’s been beaten by some Agron, at least it can fight unlike her." The trainer spoke out of hatred.
“You shouldn’t say that to your—"
“ITS HER FAULT FOR NOT WINNING A SINGLE BATTLE!!!" The trainer ran off into the wild. There, he came across a herd of Donphans.
“Heh, maybe I’ll try and capture them for myself." Attempting to catch a Donphan, the trainer uses a Poké Ball to capture one with the larger tusks than the others.
“Here I go!" The trainer threw the Poké Ball at the wild Donphan, but the capture was a fail. Angry, the leader of the herd (the one with the largest tusks) growls and attacks the trainer. The herd follows what the leader does, and suspects the trainer to be an enemy of their leader.
“Gaah!" The herd surrounds the trainer, blocking off any means of escaping their leader.
“I-I’m sorr—" The leader charges towards him with the move ‘Take Down’.
“Aaahhh!" Nothing happens. The trainer looks and see’s Gardevoir negating the attack by using her move, ‘Psychic’.
“You useless piece of—" A sudden light glows on Gardevoir, healing her. Regaining the needed health, Gardevoir uses ‘Shadow Ball’ at the herd’s leader. The herd of Donphans then charges towards Gardevoir using ‘Tackle’.
—After 20 minutes of battling the herd.—
" See, you’ll never win like that." Gardevoir nearly survives with only a couple energy left within her, so using the last bits of her psychic energy, she makes a black hole, sucking in a couple of Donphans, one including their leader. Unable of what to do, the herd fled.
“Y-You had this kind of strength!?" The trainer says and cheers for his Gardevoir.
“Hahaha, if you’ve shown this strength, then we would’ve beatn the gym—" Gardevoir falls, she breaths heavily, and starts to lose in the sight of her trainer.
“W-whats—Where’s the Pokémon Center!?" Looking around for the nearest Pokémon Center the trainer rushes to find some Oran Berries to regain some of Gardevoir’s health.
“W-Wait here.. I’ll bring some berries for you to regain your strength." Gardevoir gives off a smile to her master. Holding back his tears, the trainer ran to find sine berries.
"Okay, I’m back!" The trainer sees the sleeping Gardevoir and hands over an Oran Berry.
“Here.. Eat it.." Gardevoir doesn’t seem to move.
“I said eat it… Why can’t you obey my instructions!?" Tears fill up his eyes, and the Gardevoir still doesn’t move a single muscle.
“HERE!! Aaaaahhhh!!" The trainer cries, his head in Gardevoir’s right arm.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry that I called you useless, that I’ve beaten you up.. That I said you’re a terrible starter… I… I’m… WAAAAHHHHH!!!" The trainer cries louder and takes his formerly owned Gardevoir to Mt. Pyre, there he meets up with another trainer who ‘Surf’s on his Wailmer.
“What in the world is wrong with your Gardevoir!?" The stranger says. Gardevoir’s trainer tells what happened, and asks to borrow her Wailmer to ‘Surf’ into Mt. Pyre, there he’ll have a burrial to his beloved Gardevoir.
Regardless of her defensive stats, Gardevoir will always protect her bonded trainer, even at the cost of her own life. So… Why would anyone harm or hate.. Such creature..?
