For some reason my FR addiction hasn’t ended despite NOTN being long gone, it’s been literal years since I’ve played this consistently. Recently I revamped my lair to bring in a new generation of lore dragons and this is one of my many newly overdressed kiddo’s, Ines. Since he’s an arty dude he gets art first. Ines can focus his magic through ink to create critters, dude’s just trying to live a quiet life but can never seem to catch a break

Looking through all these exalted dragons reminds me that the act of exalting permanently ties a dragon to your user, specifically in a way that actually owning a dragon does not

Every dragon you’ve ever exalted changes which deity they’re in service to when you move flight, no matter how long ago you did it or how tied to your lair they where when they were around. All the dragons in your lair can be sold/traded/given away - but once you exalt one, they’re part of your FR fingerprint forever.

In-universe it’s an interesting concept, since your clan choosing to leave the realm/following of any deity then means that deity has a proportion of their immortal army snatched from them. I wonder if the deities worry about that at all? Are they used to it? Would they double down on clans who are exalting a bunch in case they leave? How do the dragons themselves feel?
