This was originally supposed to be a joke blog where I upload WereWorld shit posts that no one would understand because I was under the impression that I'm the only fan of this book series. But then, randomly, a Netflix show drops and I had no idea until the day I made this blog. Now this is an actual fan blog. With the occasional shit post.

WereWorld is my favorite book series of all time. I love these books. I read them as they came out starting at the age of 12. A couple of years ago I re-read the books and wrote reviews for each one (except book six. I got very distracted with other books lol).

Here's the first review. The reviews aren't too great by my standards. I’ll rewrite them one day and provide deeper analysis. Wereworld deserves it.

Happy Friday, everyone! I just recently found a fan comic of Wolf King called “Missing Royalty” & I absolutely love this comic! The art style is incredibly beautiful, the story is intriguing, and it gets more exciting with every page, & overall, it's just great to see these characters interact again. Seeing this comic makes me feel more optimistic that Wolf King will come back for a renewal. If you're a fan of this series, I would 100% recommend you read it. Wereworld at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design

These were in my phone library, originally found in 2018. Apparently a student (or possibly students) in the Fashion Design degree program at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design had a project to create costumes and makeup based on Wereworld characters. Which, as they are based on descriptions from the books, gives an amazing comparison to what we got with Wolf King.

I apologize for the quality of several of these. But they are old images.

There's also a couple images I have that I can't directly attach to individual characters. But I have guesses.

I presume both of these are Gretchen, given the red hair. Though the second one's dress seems more similar to the dress the Amelie model wore.

And this... I have no idea. My immediate thought is Hector. But he doesn't have a blackened hand. It could be Drew, but he seems notably different in costume design to either of the previous Drews.

After reading this article, I've noticed that people who read this article think that this article is just telling you that the show is “cancelled.” However, there's more to it than that; they are saying & explaining that the fans of Wolf King should be hopeful that this show might get a renewal season or more. The author, Curtis Jobling said he wants to adapt all 6 books of the Wereworld series, it doesn't sound like he wants to give up on this show & neither should we. A week after Season 1 & 2 were released, the show's viewership was very successful around the world and ranked in the top 10 list, just 6 days after the release of both seasons. Also, most of the artists who worked on this show want it to be renewed as well. Let's not give up on this show, rewatch the series, recommended for new viewers on Netflix, tell everyone what you love about this show, and make some fan art and tell the people of Netflix how much we love this series. Let's bring this show back together! Long Live the Wolf! 🐺👑

“Lyra & Iorek Meets Drew Ferran”

I have recently read both Wolf King (Wereworld: The Rise of the Wolf) & His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass and I love them both! I’m kind of embarrassed to say this, but I wasn't into reading novels when I was younger. Even when my school had those Scholastic book fairs, I didn't buy any books; I mostly bought those scented pencils/markers, little notebooks, and for some reason those finger pointers (yes, I know, it's not the most sensible thing to buy at a book fair.) I don't know why I wasn't into reading novels until I watched the first season of Wolf King on Netflix back in April and of course, I loved it. I discovered it was based on a book series called Wereworld. So, I decided to get the first book with the Netflix special edition cover & gave it a try. I was very surprised at how different it was from the show. After I finished Wereworld Book 1 and watched His Dark Materials last year, I decided to read The Golden Compass and I loved that book as well. I’ve noticed that some of the dialogue has been used in the 2007 movie, it's pretty interesting how I remember that. I enjoyed both of these books and I'm starting to read HTTYD next. I would give Wereworld TROTW & The Golden Compass 5 ⭐️s, I would recommend them to new readers and I’m looking forward to reading the sequels of both of those series!
