hello tumblr from five years ago
HI GUYS
Tumblr kicked me out and for the life of me I couldn't find the "log in" button and then I forgot my password and then I had this password epiphany and decided to log in.
Plus I need to do something to procrastinate because
I'M IN THE PROCESS OF WRITING MY BUSINESS PLAN SINCE I'M MEETING WITH A BANK TODAY TO SEE WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO OWN MY FIRST EVER HORSE PROPERTY
so that's what going on with me.

It's official! Say hello to my new girl Giavonna
This is her
Exciting new things are happening to my 24 year old self!
So Adam is gone. Did you get the memo? It's still kind of hard for me, some days. He was a huge part of my life for a really long time. I haven't cried or made a big deal. Most people in real life barely even know, and I'm not sad per say but it's deeper... like a chunk of me is gone. And I miss that chunk. But it had to happen. I had to grow as a person. And Adam got a wonderful home out of the deal.
So I thought that after re-homing/retiring Adam exciting new things would happen. Last summer Mark and I house shopped somewhat, but ended up stopping because we couldn't afford anything with a barn already on it, and a mortgage on top of board with our salaries (honestly with Mark's salary) just wouldn't cut it. So I figured maybe we could find a home with property we could expand on, but that just isn't happening. We still need to save about $10,000 more just to have the down payment on something relatively promising. Plus we are both snobs and refuse to live in a dump.
So I've been pretty sad lately. I like owning a horse. I miss that part of life. A creature to love and care for and stop in and just to say I love you to. I have 60 at the barn I can ride, but I've owned a horse for the majority of my life. It just felt like something was missing. But I didn't necessarily want to take the savings I have for a down payment and throw that away on a horse. So I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I couldn't afford a house, and I wasn't going to use the money I have and put that towards a horse because that's just not a responsible decision.
BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED. A thing that usually happens to everyone but me. You know - life saying, here's one for you. Almost making me believe shit really does happen for a reason. My trainer put me in touch with a woman who had a 2 year old Dutch WB last year, had no clue if she still had the thing, half sister to two Dutch's in the barn that have already sold for 100k, the other currently advertised for 120k. I got in touch with her, she still has her, striking face standing at 16'2" and three years old untouched. She's asking a womping $5,000!!!!!!!! It'll take 20% out of my savings, but I can live with that. I'm planning to use her as an investment, raise her and train her and hopefully sell her in a few years.
I'm really really excited. She's EXACTLY what I want in a horse. I meet her on Monday and I'm going to bring her home most likely the first week of September.
I think I'm going to name her either Giavana (which mean's God's gift) or Gemstone. I'll put a picture up soon C:
