I follow a podcast hosted by a group of military veterans and law enforcement officers who share the same dark sense of humor as I do and are, at their core, genuinely good people. One of the hosts, Richard Hy (known online as AngryCops), is an SVU detective in Buffalo, NY, and also serves as a Drill Sergeant.
Today, they released a standalone video separate from their usual podcast format, blowing the whistle on the Buffalo, NY School District’s obstruction of child abuse investigations. This is not secondhand information; Richard shares firsthand examples from cases he personally worked, as well as accounts from fellow officers and even the Buffalo District Attorney’s office.
This is not an easy video to watch. It’s devastating. Seeing one of the toughest individuals I know break down in tears over the abuse he’s witnessed—and the systemic efforts to cover it up—is heartbreaking. But the more people who see this, the faster we can bring attention to this corruption and demand real accountability.
This isn’t a case of dark money or outside influence. It’s a coordinated effort by a group of attorneys representing the school district, whose primary interest is protecting the district from lawsuits. They have intimidated mandatory reporters into silence, making them too fearful to report crimes against children. In some cases, they have even refused to comply with legal warrants—an act that demands immediate intervention from the New York Attorney General. If Letitia James will not act, then the U.S. Attorney General and the FBI must.
This situation is horrendous and cannot be ignored. If you are willing to watch this and share it with every community you can, I would deeply appreciate it. Richard Hy is already facing blowback for blowing the whistle. We need an army of angry parents who will not accept this happening to our children to stand with him.

Why I choose the dialogue I do. Random thoughts I've tried to put into some sort of sense.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"I can't believe...so much happened. I don't know how to feel."
Rook will say this to him. They're are lost, unsure of what’s real, safe, or even what they're allowed to feel, and then there’s Lucanis—kneeling (though I believe he is squatting) before them, meeting Rook at their lowest, anchoring them with his unwavering devotion.
His words, "I do," hold so much weight. It’s not just about how he feels; it’s a declaration. He’s telling Rook that even in all the chaos, confusion, and pain, he’s certain about them. His response is exactly what Rook needs in that moment. He isn't asking them to figure things out, to simply move on, or to pretend that nothing has happened. Instead, he offers them his certainty and love as a guiding light.
The gentle kiss isn’t just affection—it's a promise, a lifeline, and a way of saying I’m here and you’re here.
And that quiet, "I know exactly how to feel," is him saying he’ll feel for both of them until Rook can find themselves again. And you just know that, in true Lucanis fashion, he’ll never let them doubt his love or their worth ever again.
Rook's, "Just don't leave," is heartbreaking. It’s not just about physical presence—it’s them begging for an anchor, stability, for someone who won’t abandon them when they feel so lost.
And Lucanis, without hesitation, meets their plea with absolute conviction.
"Never."
For someone like Rook, who’s endured so much loss, doubt and isolation in the Fade, that kind of reassurance is everything. Lucanis saying "Never" isn’t just an answer—it’s a vow. A declaration that no matter what the world throws at them, he’ll stay.
And you know he’ll back up that promise every single day. Lucanis isn’t just saying the words; he’s living them. Even when he’s consumed by his fears and doubts, even when his world is crumbling, Rook is the one thing he’ll hold onto.
Their love isn’t flashy or overdramatic—it’s grounded in moments like this. Quiet, deeply intimate exchanges where they show, in every word and gesture, how much they mean to each other.
And because of this, Rook can start to believe that they are not alone, he'll feel for both of them, he sees them, loves them, and will fight to stay by their side.
Always.

I love the age old trope of a character who’s quite good at maintaining their poker face until the one they like walks into the room and oops, stars in their eyes.
Geralt especially. Mr. “I’m An Emotionless Witcher But Yen is my Kryptonite”
The final song in the Solavellan ending, when Lost Elf reappears, that is not on the soundtrack
Sooooooooo…that AMA sure went well, huh?
*rolls up sleeves*
Already got my work cut out in 2025 it seems
bioware game devs got on reddit with some bullshit ass remark that lucanis has “too much passion to not end up with someone”
and mary kirby came out of hibernation to go “ACTUALLY the character I CREATED is a inexperienced virgin who is also a panromantic demisexual” and I respect her immensely because of it
I spent all of last month trying to explain to people why it makes perfect sense that you get locked out of his romance if you don’t save treviso— he needs a connection built on trust and loyalty which is impossible if you leave his fucking home to burn when you were the one person he truly expected to come to his rescue/backup because you saved him the first time FROM THE OSSUARY !!!
Honey and lavender cream ☕
You know how devastated and totally shutting down Lucanis is if you save Minrathous.........that was probably how he was after Rook got pulled i to the fade prison......
ok its time *puts tinfoil hat on*
From the amazing romance scene we did get for Lucanis and even some of the just friends interactions, i have come to the conclusion that after they fired Mary Kirby they realized how much better the Lucanis stuff was compared to the rest of the companions and one cut a lot of his normal content and two shoe hornd the Neve romance in to try and make the rest of the romances look better and to justify her firing.
*Takes tin foil hat off*
ok i just found out that Lucanis' romance lock in scene, the one where he makes dessert is the same scene if you do not romance him and he and Neve get together!!!!! NO OTHER COMPANIONS SCENES DO THIS, WTF BIOWARE!!! YPU COULD HAVE USED THE GONDOLA SCENE FROM THE ART BOOK FOR IT!!!!
yep even more salt on the wound
so there's going to be an AMA on redit and i decided to ask about this. dout it will get answered or even a satisfying one
