I've been wanting to draw my boys for a month now.. University is taking up all of my time, so this is the most I can manage for now 😭

I've been experimenting with new coloring and texturing techniques. For this piece, I tried studying and recreating some aspects of [Crytide]'s style, whose work I greatly admire

My exhausted babies🥀

(I just wanted to vent a little ↓)

Lately I’ve been feeling really exhausted and wanting to draw so badly, but every time I try to make something new, nothing turns out the way I want and I end up getting frustrated.

I know a big part of this comes from all the pressure university put on me this semester.

I just want vacation to finally arrive so I can draw peacefully again.

I'm sharing this because I'm a little obsessed with my own character; Jack has existed since I was 8 years old, he's like a son to me hahaha

✨ Jack & Kai — Random Facts (because I had too much caffeine😝)

Since I don’t have much time to draw lately, I’ll just drop some random facts about these two haha. I’m bored and just had way too much caffeine…😝

1. Jack’s clothing style is usually inspired by ouji fashion!🍷 Kai’s style, on the other hand, is more casual or 1920s-inspired🎩

2. I usually dress Jack in more “feminine” outfits because, according to his canon 🤓☝🏻 he has more androgynous features, and he knows it and loves it. So he enjoys wearing more “delicate” clothes to highlight his beauty💄

3. Kai isn’t as androgynous as Jack, so he wears looser yet elegant outfits since he likes to match with Jack!😼 If it weren’t for that, he’d probably wear casual clothes every day. He doesn’t really care much about fashion, that’s why he lets Jack choose his outfits!

4. Jack collects paintings he’s made of Kai. He loves making portraits of him while he’s asleep. Kai finds it really sweet but gets a little embarrassed when Jack wants to hang them all over the house. He only allows it in their shared bedroom and in Jack’s art studio haha🎨

5. They both want to be parents!🧸 They really like the idea of having their own family, and it’s very likely they’d adopt

6. Kai was actually the one who confessed first before Jack could do it himself, and Jack got mad because he “lost.”💔

7. I represent them with red and green because they are complementary colors ❤️💚

I’ve been thinking that maybe I should start writing little snippets of their story, since if I can’t draw right now, I should at least focus on writing about them haha😔🫀

Although Jack is my favorite, the style of clothing I wear daily is more similar to Kai's 😝😝
