Two friends were drinking a delicious drink in a nightclub. They call Joan and Mary.
Maria is very capricious and asked the bartenders to serve her the same drink that her friend, but with one detail: An olive!
When Joan and Maria get the drinks. Maria complains that Joan was served with more booze! What will happen?
Below the image of two cups. The first is the second of Joan and Mary.
The physics used in this situation is simple: Nothing can stand in the same space d else. So when something like an olive is inserted into the drink, she does not occupy the same space as the drink, the drink just pushes passage way to get and install.
It's like going to a concert of music, you have to go through people and pave your way through them, never occupying the same place they just switching places to get closer to the stage.
And what does this have to do with the earth? What does that have to do with gravity?
Let's imagine that the universe is this glass of water, ok? The earth and of the planets are just peas distocem the field of small glass.
Like everything that goes into a plane and distorts the earth is pressed by that field, playing all their forces towards the center of it.
Logo gravity is not something that pulls us, but that pushes us. Cool, no?
Newton's First Law: Inertia
When an object, very stubborn, does everything to keep moving and constant speed.
Ps : Everything that moves has an initial acceleration, which is the force which initiates the whole process.

Rosetta’s Philae probe lands on comet
After traveling millions of miles through the solar system and slingshotting around a few planets, ESA’s Rosetta mission has successfully soft-landed its Philae probe on a comet, the first time in history that such an extraordinary feat has been achieved. But it’s not yet clear if the mission’s lander, Philae, is in a secure position. According to the Philae Twitter account, the harpoons have not deployed correctly.
