Prove it? Easier said than done… “Hmm…well…I’m afraid I’m not educated on what fairies like. Is there something I could bring you? Like some lemonade or tea? I have cake and cookies too.” Not that her husband would approve of her purely sugary snack, but he was at work for the afternoon and didn’t need to know.
“I can promise I wouldn’t try to hurt or capture you.” She reassured, using her most soothing voice. “I’ve been treated that way myself and I’d never want to inflicted it on another.” Really, she just needed to have them trust her enough to listen when she would tell them to not crush or pick the flowers in the garden.
The mention of cookies certainly caught Marcus’ attention, but the small Prince still narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
“What kind of cookies?” He asked, only to be half pushed aside by Minerva who had her own ideas.
“Do you have any sparklies?”
While Marcus merely rolled his eyes it was clear Minerva was already off in her little imaginary world with the gleam in her eye that suggested no would not be taken for an answer.
Facebook biased to white men in the name of “hate speech”?
Ladies, gentlemen, and others I interrupt your usual scrolling in order to bring a facebook issue to light. It all started when I shared the following post with the comment “men be trash” only to be found out that not only did facebook forcefully logged me out, but immediately greet me with this the moment I was back in.
Now isn’t that stupid?
But wait, was it flagged for MY comment, or because of the original post? Hmmm time for a little experiment…
My other posts are still up an hour later, while the “men be trash” ones were flagged and removed within minutes. Conclusion? Facebook is indeed very biased with their so-called “hate speech”. I encourage those reading this to both share as they please and test this out for themselves should they feel up to it. This bullshit must be brought to attention because as far as I am concerned this is blurring the lines between filtering “hate speech” for the greater good and just flat out censorship.

“Maybe just a little bit.” Alvin had fought him not once, but twice, and been grateful to have the rest of the team around both times. “He’s definitely not a pushover, but at least he’s a reasonable guy, most of the time. And tries to do what he thinks is right.” Whether or not that was actually right in Alvin’s opinion was a different question, but hey, you had to give Gaius credit for trying.
“Well that’s good at least, though I still think he’d be pretty shocked to find out he suddenly has a kid that’s nearly an adult...”
He was still certain that Muzet had her reasons for not telling his father about his existence, but perhaps it was time to remedy that.
“I guess I’ll just have to sit and think about meeting him for a little while. I can trust that you’ll keep me a secret until I make my decision?”
tesseracs:
She could tell from the traces of his magical energy that the Servant who stood before her was undoubtedly Saber. Weiss was still feeling smug up until the point Marcus introduced himself.
“Wait. King Marcus? That can’t be!”
Marcus Outway. Outway. If she thought back to her history books, Outway was the surname of King Gaius, and now that she recalled it, the King of Rieze Maxia had a son named….
“How–? Why did you answer my summons instead of your father?!” She stuttered out her shock. He didn’t even sound like he wanted to be summoned with the way he grumbled about his awakening. How could this be? Her ritual had been flawless…hadn’t it?
“I don’t know, wrong artifact I guess?”
Though Marcus was grateful to be back in the human world, even though it was only going to be temporary. Taking a moment to yawn and gladly stretch out his wings before strolling over and examining the artifact in question.
“Ahh here’s you’re problem: That cloak did indeed belong to my father for a while, but he used to wrap me up in it when I was a baby. Eventually it was basically my blanket.”
@heirsofriezemaxia
“Alright, Weiss…you know what to do.”
She’d gotten her hands on a relic belonging to the legendary King Gaius, the strongest man to ever rule his land. The magic circles were drawn, the catalysts prepared. She’d double checked that everything was perfect.
“Für die Elemente Silber und Eisen. Für den Grundstein, Stein, und dem Aufseher. Für die Vorfahren, mein großer Meister Schwerorg…”
Just as flawlessly she delivered the incantation. As the relic began to glow, her expression also lit up.
“It worked! Well, of course it did.” She cleared her throat, covering up her childish excitement with an air of confidence as light engulfed the room. She was a Schnee, given the best education and training, but she wouldn’t want to discount her own ability and intelligence. With this Grail War she would prove herself a capable magus in her own right.
Starting with summoning the strongest Servant – Saber – for herself.
So he was being summoned to fight in a Holy Grail war. Marcus couldn’t say he liked the sound of that, but with the ritual properly completed he had no choice as he was already tied to his new master with three command seals.
“You could have at least asked first.” The old King grumbled as he stretched a bit, wondering just how much time had passed since his lifetime.
“King Marcus Outway, at your service I guess.”
Unsure why his master looked so confused at his appearance, he quietly wondered what history said about him. He could have never guessed that this wasn’t the servant she was expecting at all.

Of course that’d be the thing the kid would pick up on. Alvin knocked back the rest of his cider in a swallow.
“Not much. Your dad’s pretty much the strongest person I know, outside of the Lord of Spirits,” he admitted ruefully.
Honesty. Why was he doing that again? … Spirits, lying was so much easier.
“Well shit...” He muttered under his breath, wondering just what his father was actually like now. Perhaps some day soon he would meet him after all just to satisfy his curiousity.
“He sounds slightly terrifying...” Yet his mother only spoke the world of him, which meant he had to be a genuinely kind and understanding man as well.
dallarsaol:
“While that is true, you have missed the point.” Gaius replies, withholding the sigh that wants to escape his lips. Perhaps he had not taken Maxwell’s concerns about the future seriously enough. With an attitude like his he had cause to worry.
“It’s not about you.” Harsh perhaps, but a truth nevertheless; if he was to rule he would need learn it. “It is about them. You worry only about what they will do to you if you do not rule correctly, but what of their suffering? What of all you might be forcing them to endure? Should that not be a concern to you?”
Marcus emerged looking respectable at the very least, and Gaius gave it a moment’s thought. He was not suited to being a father, this much he knew, and he was not certain how to make his son realize just how important his duties were. He shared too much of his mother’s carefree nature.
“I think a different task is in order. You will accompany me to the audiences today and you will be responsible for resolving some of the issues that arise.”
I’m so not cut out for this...
He had gotten used to his father’s tough love by now, and knew he really did mean for the best. Still Marcus wanted nothing more then to run away and leave Minerva as the proper heir, as he convinced himself things would be so much better that way.
“No pressure...” He muttered under his breath, forcing himself to stand up straight and keep his head held high as he followed his father.
Flower Fairies
resonatingmuses:
Her hand rose to her mouth, holding back any sounds she could make as she watched the fairy siblings. They were so small and utterly adorable–and honest to goodness fairies!! She was used to strange things having living in Aselia for a long time now, but fairies were a first!
When the brother woke up the two flew off into the nearest tree. Anastasia sat stunned for a moment before setting the book aside and stood under the tree. “Uh…pardon me?” Fairies were fickle, weren’t they? Didn’t they curse humans who were rude to them? Hopefully she could speak as politely as her husband. “I’m sorry I startled you both. I promise I’m a kind human.”
After a few seconds of silence both royals poked their heads out of the branches and stared down at the human. Seeing that she was unarmed and didn’t have a strong magical aura around her Marcus decided to take a chance and trust her, though still stayed put to be far out of reach.
“Prove it.” He dared, folding his arms with a slight pout as he sat in front of his baby sister for protection.
@dallarsaol
Marcus considered himself lucky to have only come across one world that was plagued by a long-term war. It was also the only time he had dared to open up to one of its leaders about who he was and why he paid his frequent visits. This time however it seemed he had ever so slightly miscalculated the rift this time around, as he fell from the ceiling with a slight yelp and nearly landed on his face.
Getting to his feet as gracefully as he could and dusting himself off he then noticed that he had also landed right before a young man his age wearing black from head to toe.
“Sorry about that...” With a wave of his hand the rift was closed, then clearing his throat he did his best to calmly explain himself. “I um...Have a meeting with His Majesty King Regis.”
A War Not of My Own Making
isaaccecilbryant:
Isaac nodded and followed Marcus even though he was getting hot in his coat. When they got to the courtyard Isaac’s eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. He’d seen lots on the ride in, but he’d also slept on his father’s lap for most of it. Now he has all of this to play with!
Wooooow.” He stepped into the puffy white blanket and felt his foot fall right through to the ground. It was nothing like sand! It was more like a cloud! Isaac turned to Marcus where he was putting together a small ball of snow. “Okay.” He waded through the snow and lent a hand. It was easy to start with but as it got bigger it became harder for them to push. “Why is it so heavy? The snow’s so fluffy. Did we get rocks into it?”
“No, it just gets like that when we pack it all together all nice and tight.” He explained, helping his new friend roll it all together before starting on the two smaller parts and easily stacked them with Isaac's help.
“You look for sticks to give him arms, I'll look for rocks to give him a face.”
Scampering off to the other side of the courtyard it did take him a few minutes to find what he was looking for since most of them were buried under inches of snow, but eventually, Marcus neatly shoved a few small round pebbles into their snowman to form his eyes, nose, and mouth.
Flower Fairies
@heirsofriezemaxia
The gardeners had been irritated as of late. They kept finding crushed or picked flowers out in the garden. First they suspected Isaac and Amy, as they both were still kids and the most likely culprits, yet neither of them were behind it. Anastasia made sure it was the truth she was getting from them, but both her kids were in the clear. None of the other staff could come forward with an answer, even when questioned by the Master of the house himself. Regal wasn’t the sort to throw a fit over the state of the garden, but he knew how hard the gardeners worked on it and his heart went out to them for having that hard work torn apart. It wasn’t Anastasia could stand to see either.
Once they were finished for the day Anastasia set up a blanket and a small picnic for herself to keep watch. As a nobleman’s wife she didn’t really have any other matters to attend to, so she could sit there all afternoon. Hopefully she’d catch whoever was up to these shenanigans and put and end to them.
The time was passed with a book, one she could tear her attention away from if needed. The sound of a light giggle had her holding her breath as she looked up. There in the flowers were two fairies. One happily picking them and the other laying on top of them for a nap. A gasp escaped her as she stared.
It was naturally Minerva who first noticed the human staring at the both of them. Letting out a surprised whimper the fairy Princess pounced on her sleeping brother at once and shook him awake.
“Marcus, Marcus there's a human that can see us!”
While that got his attention enough to sit up in surprise the tiny Prince merely grabbed his sister's hand and flew into the nearest tree where they could stare down at the blonde human with caution.
“You sure she can see us?” He whispered as he was old enough to know that very few possessed the sight to do so.
“She was staring right at us!”
Curious as Always (Open)
broadswordandpistol:
“That’s probably a solid plan,” Alvin agreed, cradling his own mug of cider in his fingertips. It meant that he had a secret to keep as well, and when was the last time he’d had anything on the King of Rieze Maxia? The warm feeling in his chest wasn’t just the beverage.
“Take some time to think it over, at least, before you make any big decisions you can’t take back.”
“Yeah, I'll certainly sleep on it...”
Perhaps it was time he had another talk with his mother as well since she was most certainly hiding things from him even though he was just a couple more years away from adulthood. He doubted his father could be a terrible person so why was she still being so secretive?
“So how much did my mother exaggerate when she said my father was 'the strongest human alive'?”
As a child, he had bought that statement in a heartbeat and promised he would grow up to be big and strong too. Now such things seemed quite silly, though he was still quite curious.
dallarsaol:
His brows crease, the words deepening his already growing displeasure. It was one thing for him to complain about training or his studies, but to so flippantly disregard his duty was another matter entirely.
“Those so-called boring responsibilities are what our people depend on us to accomplish. Ignore them, and they suffer. Tell me, is that what you desire? All because they do not entertain you enough?”
“I understand that they are indeed crucial father and that ignoring such responsibilities could very well lead to a rebellion ending with my head getting sliced off.”
I didn't ask to be crown prince! He wanted to say, though decided it was far too early to be yelling about anything.
With his wings carefully tucked away under his jacket and hair neatly combed he soon emerged from the bathroom looking as a proper royal should, though he couldn't help but to slightly roll up his sleeves.
“Tell me what to do and I'll listen. I promise I'll be a good little heir and keep the complaining to a minimum.”
timidplum:
Well he is full of surprises, at least that’s clear now. Trying to recompose himself he let out a sigh. “Do I take this as something you do often then?” He asks before moving to take a seat.
“Not as often as one might think.”
It was still fairly hard for him to focus considering that after this meeting was all said and done he still wanted to try and ask Plum for a proper courtship. Surely there wouldn't be any fuss since it would further strengthen the alliance between the two kingdoms, but at the same time, the last thing he wanted was to pressure the other Prince.
“Now why don't we discuss the terms of a formal alliance. I'm sure you already have a list of requests?”
timidplum:
“So you want to melt and not go for shaved ice then?” Once more he poked his side before standing up. Sighing as he rested a hand on his hip. “…..should I carry you?”
“I’d rather take an ice bath but I suppose that’s a start.”
Only grunting when Plum offered to carry him he could only roll over and offer the tiny Elympian his arms as the prince decided it was currently to hot to move.
timidplum:
“Aren’t you being a bit dramatic Marcus?” Kneeling down he poked at the prince’s side. “Are you just going to lay there or do you want to hear what I might offer for you?” That or he’ll just keep poking at his side for now.
“I’ve already taken two showers today and everything’s sticking to me. If that’s not a sign of actually melting then I don’t know what is.” He whined, not budging an inch.
“Farewell my dearest love. You should go before I pass.”
