There were many milestones that these two had missed out on, not for a lack of trying, but for impossibly unfortunate events. Sigma’s first memory of Diana was meeting her in a small, grey room, only minutes after an atomic bomb had gone off in the distance. They were soon to fall in love, passionately, madly in love, but there was no time for wining or dining, and not even a quick trip to the movies. Almost immediately, he was consumed in his work, and as much as she wanted to help him, her own body soon failed her. After spending three years by her side, he spent more than forty years without her.

Now that he had another chance - back in his original body, in a much better world, under much better circumstances - he wasn’t going to take anything for granted. She may have made the meal, but he insisted on providing the ambiance. Dimly-lit candles, white tablecloth, purple daises as the centerpiece, and a roaring fireplace behind them. The table itself was fairly small, allowing him to easily reach over and take her hands in his.

“Diana.”

His voice was calm, and his visage betrayed little emotion, but on the inside, his heart was all aflame. His chest felt as he was going to melt. Even after nearly five decades of work… he couldn’t believe that this moment was real. He could scarcely believe that she was real. 

Words failed him. He’d planned some kind of grand, romantic speech, but all he could do was stare directly into her eyes, her kind, perfect eyes, and hold himself back from weeping. But, even if his emotional repression refused to let him even smile… he was happy. Immensely happy, immeasurably happy. It was an overwhelming happiness, and he no longer cared if it consumed him.

It was all worth it.

I feel like he, himself, isn’t the sort who would seek vengeance on others.  Even when the Kamoshida plot was going on, I don’t think it was so much about seeking vengeance for himself but rather trying to protect future victims like himself and like Ann and Shiho were.  He’s been in a position of powerlessness for so long, that I don’t think revenge ever seriously crossed his mind because I don’t think he ever expected to actually have the chance to bring down Kamoshida.  But it felt good to do so - and he definitely deserved it.  Does he deserve to die, though? 

That’s not really a call that Ryuji can make.  I don’t think he necessarily forgave Kamoshida so much as he just realized how hollow vengeance would feel.  If he lashed out at others in vengeance and took the opportunity to hurt or kill every person who’d done him wrong, would he really be any better than them? Besides, letting those people rot and live with what they’ve done is a far more fitting form of revenge, in his opinion.  He won’t deny anyone else their right to vengeance, but personally, he doesn’t really get too deep into it, himself.

Hot Take Time

I don’t understand how Hagakure got into the hero course. I love her character and her Quirk, don’t get me wrong, but invisibility would not be a way to take down any robots that were part of the entrance exam. Her Quirk doesn’t give her any physical power up to have been able to do anything to incapacitate, and it wouldn’t give her the ability to do anything extraordinary like Deku did to save Uraraka and earn enough rescue points to get in by the skin of his teeth. I know we all complain about how Mineta got in, but my personal one is wondering how Hagakure got a spot.

How the blazes did he even get into this situation? ...Oh yeah, he was chasing some light-feathered bird who hat stolen his hat and lead him on a merry chase through the city before dropping it into a trash can. He could swear the tweeting he heard from it as it got away was like laughter. But that didn’t help him now. He had his paws on his hat... but he was now stuck...

(I can always hear Ryuji's voice coming through your posts! You are not only a great writer but also incredibly friendly, I always see you interacting with so many muns and muses. While we haven't interacted as much, you've always seemed sweet and approachable!)

Thanks! That’s really kind of you to say! Even though I can understand why people might be reluctant about unfamiliar fandoms or really fandoms they just don’t care for due to bad experiences, I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.  It’s really through these muns that I end up discovering new fandoms and characters and I owe a lot of that to them.  I just love crossovers and OC’s so much.

Your blog was actually one I had noticed quite a bit and you were always someone I was meaning to interact with more but just never quite managed to.  I always did admire your blog from afar and thought you did an astounding job of bringing all of your muses to life - it honestly makes me happy to hear you say this.  I do hope it’s not too late for us to begin some interactions together and maybe even get to talking a little? Either way, thanks so much! You’re very kind and sweet, yourself!
