✹ her name is cecilia and like her name she is blind to one’s own beauty. she is surrounded by death the moment she is born. her mother would never be able to comfort her during her most difficult of times. her father took the role that many would dare not too. he told his daughter she was the world and he would give it to her. 

cecilia is the heiress to the harvey fortune ( boston, usa ) after her father left this world. her devastation prevents her marriage and leaves her moving to england. cecilia is in charge of her father’s company and is often overlooked by the investors. The heiress is hardworking and determined to make a difference. in honor of her father she continues to work even when she feels no one believes in her. 

cecilia’s good friend is Esther ( @esther-maitland ) her most trusted friend and companion. she currently lives in her own home as she settles down into the country. 

cecilia is willing to use her resources and influences to get her way. she considers england a playground to gather contacts and obtain resources. however, cecilia’s heart often prevents her from making difficult decisions.

As Cecilia glances at the familiar figure, she says, "I hope this tea is up to par." She rests with a blanket around her form. An underdress covers her form. She is comfortable enough to sit on the emerald colored settee. It was a favorite of her fathers. Cecilia always misses him dearly at times like this.

Her thoughts are interrupted at the sight of Esther. Warm and young looking. A woman of modernity.  Lifting her cup to her mouth she pauses, “I’ve forgotten to hire additional staff and Miss Emily is out for the evening.” There certainly wasn't any malice in her comments. The young woman was set to wed in the New Year after courting a local gentleman. Cecilia wouldn’t be so lucky. “I assumed we could look for a betrothal gift?” She thinks of the market. A moment hangs before she shudders in her body.            “I’m not to keen on this place, Esther” She breathes out. A body? She thought she had escaped such macabre in Boston. “

‘’it’s terribly cold ... quite gloom’’. she thinks. her lips perk as her tongue is held back. the manners of a lady is careful of the viper tongue soon to escape. one could not catch flies with vinegar. Cecilia needed the empire to continue to thrive beneath her. if only her father had been so honest with the papers of debt. 

she adjusts her form. placing the tea on the wooden table. “I suppose I will find something to enjoy.” She wonders if she had an inch of knowledge her friend carried.
