I just watched Satoshi Kon’s film “Perfect Blue” and wow, it lived to the acclaim it has accumulated since its release. There’s a lot I loved from the film, especially Kon’s editing, it really sold the feeling of being unable to discern what’s real and what’s not.

I think this probably the first film I’ve ever watched where I experienced exactly what the protagonist is feeling while watching the movie. Even now, I don’t know the truth, the ending really throws you off and leaves with a feeling of confusion and dread.

If you have not watched Perfect Blue, you really should.
