you can probably tell from my comics but i personally like to think nahyuta and apollo didn't/don't use any nicknames with each other but it's mostly because i like the way they call each other in japanese... i went through it in a previous post but as far as i know...

the only ones who call apollo by his name (housuke) are:

dhurke

nahyuta

datz

the only ones who call nahyuta by his name (nayuta) are:

dhurke

apollo

rayfa

ga'ran

amara

(only reason i'm excluding datz here is because he technically calls him nayuta-bou (ナユタ坊) with the suffix -bou meaning "sonny, boy, little" while also literally meaning "monk". it's very cute)

maybe because i'm also east asian but i've always really liked honorifics/titles that characters use with each other and less so actual nicknames or diminutive versions of names... i know a proper localization would change up this kind of thing but i'm weirdly stubborn about it in my own fanworks!!

anyway like. please understand. nahyuta calling apollo by his name is not the same as phoenix/athena/etc calling him by his name to Me... if nothing else because of the way nahyuta refuses to refer to him by his first name until very close to the end of the game...
