You were nervously pacing just inside the doorway, tapping a tune on your leg as you waited for the knock on the door which would announce Scott’s arrival. You couldn’t believe that you were finally getting that date with him. He’d asked you out months earlier, but apparently the supernatural world didn’t understand that sometimes it needed to take a break and let you have your own lives.

But now a small part of you longed for a time when you could be trying to solve a mystery, rather than fighting back the nerves which were rising at the prospect of the date.

A knock made you jump. You hastily moved to open the door. Scott was standing on the doorstep, a bright smile on his face as he held out a box of your favourite sweets. The notion brought a bright smile to your face.

‘Hi,’ you said, moving to hug him outside. ‘You look really handsome.’

He chuckled slightly, tightening the hug. ‘And you look wonderful,’ he said, before pulling away, holding a hand out for you and offering the sweets. ‘I thought we could eat these during the film.’

‘I like the sound of that, thank you,’ you said, following him to the car. He pulled open the door for you and you could feel a blush rushing up your cheeks. Already you had a good feeling about the date, your nerves slowly ebbing away and your excitement building.

As Derek spoke you couldn’t help but roll your eyes as he spoke down to the rest of the pack. His stupid smug smirk that had you wondering whether you wanted to punch him or kiss him.

“Why don’t you shut up Derek.” You snapped making him jerk his head back.

“Why don’t you go home (Y/N), this isn’t witch business.” Derek snapped back.

“Someone has to take care of your pups.” You retorted as you walked from the room and into the kitchen of the Hale mansion.

“Wow.” Isaac muttered to the others.

Derek found you cleaning up his living room after the Beta’s had left for school, he was used to you being around but he found you frustratingly attractive and he wasn’t about to admit it, opting to push you away than admit how he felt.

“What the hell was that back then?” Derek grunted when you ignored him and continued to clean.

“I don’t know what you mean Hale.” You said quickly as you attempted to side step around him only to find a large hand on your waist stopping you.
