I find it hard to enjoy smackdown when they drop the ball with the women each and every week. No matter how hard I try, I can’t look forward to it because I know the ladies will be given ten minutes or less of screen time. Two minute matches. And we’ll only ever get to see at most two women’s matches which doesn’t seem to be that common (I could be wrong bc I do just glance at the screen occasionally since I got out of it a long time ago) and even tonight with the women’s main event, they weren’t given much time. We didn’t get to see Tiffany, no Bianca, nothing. We got Naomi for half a second…

I think it’s because I watch NXT now. I used to think a few years ago “well it’s just a two hour show so they dont have much time…” but that was a crappy excuse even back then and now watching NXT where the women get pretty much equal time as the men has ruined smackdown for me completely. I’m just tuning in every week for the two second glimpse we get of the ladies now.

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but people are always complaining that Rhea’s reign has been boring and unmemorable and I personally think it’s because of the opponents she’s been given.

Rhea is really good in the ring and on the mic. She has an extremely unique look and a unique storyline. She has natural charisma and she’s so over with the crowd, and even with the general public who don’t even watch wrestling. Everyone loves mami or at least loves to hate her. But between them at first not giving her enough matches/storylines with the women’s roster because they were too focused on her role in the judgment day and them now giving her more matches but with (IMO) crappy opponents, they’re really fumbling her reign and I don’t think it’s her fault.

Giving Maxxine, who—as much as I like her—was clearly not ready for a match (and a match with the women’s champion of all people, at that) a match with Rhea is just gonna have people talking about how awkward the match was, giving Rhea more negative ‘press’

One of Rhea’s most memorable feuds during her reign so far was with Nia Jax of all people, and even that one ended pretty quickly. The feud with Raquel made sense but if you don’t care about Raquel, which a lot of us don’t, it wasn’t all that notable. The feud with Natty was okay but the matches were short as hell.

Imo, Rhea deserves to be feuding with people like becky, Bianca, Charlotte, bayley, asuka, etc (even though most of them are on the other brand) people who are already well-established, not newbies or wrestlers that (sorry to say it) most people don’t care about or take seriously. She deserves to be feuding with someone who can keep up with her and who she doesn’t have to carry throughout the match, and she deserves to feud with a fellow star who is on or above her level, and I feel like she hasn’t really gotten that opportunity during this reign.

And also, they could still be doing a much better job of juggling her involvement with the judgement day and her involvement in the women’s division. She should be terrorizing the women’s locker room or having a match every week.

It’s just disappointing as someone who’s a huge fan of her to see her reign being shit on for being boring when IMO it’s really not her fault. But hopefully the feud with Ivy will be good.

It should be Jey or Sami and I’ll die by that BUT whoever it is, I think no matter how much of a baby face they are they should give Roman a taste of his own medicine, play dirty, and have everyone he’s ever wronged interfere in the match and beat his ass until he literally can’t take anymore lol. Just one after another, people attacking him and not playing fair at all until whoever’s challenging him for the title gets the win. It would keep him looking strong and be a poetic way to end his reign
