-whispers- Hey lil mama lemme whisper in yo ear
Helle's cheeks flushed a rather appealing shade of red and she smiled warmly at him. "You can whisper in my ear any day."
âNo I suppose it doesnâtâ He admitted.
Helle was quiet for a moment as she warred with her emotions. She wanted to somehow be nice to him. It was not his fault that he was Ino's son. If she allowed herself to bitterly hate him, she would be no better than Ino had been.
"I, uh, I look forward to meeting your little family."
âWe all have our places now, youâre husband is one of the twelve as are my nephew and grand-mother and grand-father.â She said coldly before turning to go. âIf you are going to threaten, make threats you can carry out. Not rely on others to do it for you.â
"You are absolutely and irrevocably hopeless." Helle said at Ino's back. She wanted her gone. She never wanted to see the woman again. "I can't believe I once looked forward to calling you family, you heartless tramp."
Ino bit down hard on her tongue trying not laugh even if was only bitter. âHave your servants do that all they like, youâd still be the weak-handed daughter of a mere cloud nymph.â
"And you'll still be the bitch that murdered such a weak girl." She replied with venom dropping from the words. The look that she gave the other woman was positively hateful. "You're not better than I am now, woman so watch your tongue before Poseidon catches wind of you insulting his bride."

âI rather fancy myself a God than a prince,â he said offhandedly, more to himself than her. Apollo was a sucker for a pretty face, not that he was excluded in that regard. His siblings shared in the same weakness. Usually he paid no mind whether his want was taken or not but at thename he sullied.
âI did not know he took on a bride, rest assured I wonât make a pass.â Poseidon was one of the few Gods he truly respected, even more so than his own father. They had connected during their time as mortals.
âHow did you come to meet?â
"I suppose most would." She replied with a shrug, knowing that the comment was not exactly directed towards her. She could not fault him or any other god for preferring their immortal titles to some mortal title that would fade in time, just as her mortal titles were fading as time went on.
"Oh, you can make a pass. He doesn't mind." Helle told him with a chuckle. It was true that Poseidon did not mind too much, as relaxed as he was. As long as people respected the boundaries he did not mind her flirting with others or them flirting with her. That and she knew that if she wanted, she could ask for permission and receive it for an affair.
"Oh, he saved me." Her expression became cloudy as she thought about the past. "My step-mother decided to manipulate my father into sacrificing my brother and I to the gods. We escaped on the Golden ram but I couldn't hold on and down I went into the sea. Poseidon saved me from death and made made me what I am now."
Don't Be Shy The Water's Warm
He looked over at her as they eat and smiled. the dinner was a bit too quite for his liking, so inbetween bites he tried to attempt a conversation with this beautiful woman.
âAnd who are you my sweet?â
"Surely a god as wise and wonderful as you are knows who I am," She poked at her lobster with her fork. Although her head was lowered in a bashful manner, she peered at him from beneath lowered lashes.
"I can't call myself daughter of king Athamas anymore after what happened, can I?" The laugh that left her lips was slightly bitter. "I'm just Helle, though sometimes I think of myself as your Helle."
Don't Be Shy The Water's Warm
âmmmn, and I love when you spoil me as such.â
He reached over and squeezed her hand softly. He love how cute she got when she got shy and embarrassed, and did his best not to cause it on purpose. However sometimes it was too much not to do and he found himself lightly teasing her when he could. He let go of her hand and picked up his utensils to eat and began to cut his food into bite size pieces.
âLet us eat.â
Helle gave his hand a gentle squeeze in return, her blush deepening from the contact. When her hand was freed she picked up one of her utensils as she contemplated where to start on her plate.
"Yes, lets." She sent him a smile before she began to eat, delighting in the delicious and well made food.
âBetter the goddess of a chunk of sea than the goddess of seamen.â She replied with a snide smile that did not reach her eyes. âDonât let me live it down. Maybe one of these days youâll realize was a terrible bitch you are.â
âMaybe, but I think youâll sooner learn to get a better grip than that.â She pointed out.Â
âI donât need a better grip.â She replied with a scoff. âIâm a goddess and a rightful queen now. I could just have servants do all the gripping for me.â

âI rather like princess.â He said in a musing tone. It wasnât a surprise he didnât know all of the deities in the Pantheon, but for one so pretty to miss his notice, it was practically impossible.
Well, no time like the present. With a chuckle he straightened and held out a hand in the most gentlemanly of manners. âThen allow me to escort you to the finest restaurant in Greece. No expense paid for a friend of Poseidon.â
"Then princess it will be. Sometimes I miss being called that, though I guess it doesn't mean much to gods." She chuckled at herself. "I guess sometimes the I just feel nostalgic for my mortal years..."
"Oh, now?" Helle was both surprised by his offer and flattered by it.So naturally she accepted his hand with a smile. "Fantastic, although you should know that I count as more than a friend to Poseidon. I am his bride, but don't let that scare you away."
He shrank back, albeit for different reasons than he had before. âForgive me I shouldnât have said anything, I know how you feel about her.â
"It doesn't matter." She said. It was not like her problems with Ino would erase the lack of problems others had.
Possible Haitus
I'm sorry.
It's just hard to find the muse for Helle...

Whatever business his uncle had was now of little importance to him. Resting his elbows on the counter he lean over just slightly. A goddess, well that made sense. Not really his âtypeâ but heâd bite.
âApollo its lovely to meet you Hellespontos. If you could tell my uncle his favorite nephew stopped by Iâd be most obliged, and that I hope he doesnât mind if I offer to take his lovely friend out for lunch. Since heâs not around Iâd hate to eat alone.â
"Please, call me Helle or princess, though few call me by that title these days." She dipped into a graceful curtsy, a throwback to her mortal years when she had worshiped the gods instead of being one herself. "It would be my honour to pass along that you visited, milord."
She straightened and a blush painted her cheeks with colour, clearly unused to handsome men winking at her and inviting her to lunch. She spent much of her time either with Poseidon or performing her few duties as the deity of the Hellepontos. "That sounds delightful. I'm sure he won't mind. I'm not his prisoner, after all."
âI know you donât like her, but Mother and I been together since our deaths or were ⊠Thank you though for that. Its very much appreciated.â
"Lucky you." The smile she had offered left and her eyes turned guarded and cold again as she was reminded of yet another difference between them. The woman that had ended her life had been warm and family to another while she had been alone with a stranger since her death. "You're welcome."
And Lobster! she likes that too!
Headcanon also accepted. Although she prefers crab over lobster.
