"My lord Poseidon, is that you?"
"Aye it is I Psyche, I have come by on my own, adventures?... Yes i think that is fitting."
The Water is indeed warm.
"Hello all, your favorite man with a beard has returned, and he brought me with him!"
Don't Be Shy The Water's Warm
He looked over at her as they eat and smiled. the dinner was a bit too quite for his liking, so inbetween bites he tried to attempt a conversation with this beautiful woman.
âAnd who are you my sweet?â
âSurely a god as wise and wonderful as you are knows who I am,â She poked at her lobster with her fork. Although her head was lowered in a bashful manner, she peered at him from beneath lowered lashes.
âI canât call myself daughter of king Athamas anymore after what happened, can I?â The laugh that left her lips was slightly bitter. âIâm just Helle, though sometimes I think of myself as your Helle.â
"I did not intend to cause distaste... I apologize..."
He turned to his meal and eat in silence hoping not to anger her further.
Don't Be Shy The Water's Warm
âmmmn, and I love when you spoil me as such.â
He reached over and squeezed her hand softly. He love how cute she got when she got shy and embarrassed, and did his best not to cause it on purpose. However sometimes it was too much not to do and he found himself lightly teasing her when he could. He let go of her hand and picked up his utensils to eat and began to cut his food into bite size pieces.
âLet us eat.â
Helle gave his hand a gentle squeeze in return, her blush deepening from the contact. When her hand was freed she picked up one of her utensils as she contemplated where to start on her plate.
âYes, lets.â She sent him a smile before she began to eat, delighting in the delicious and well made food.
He looked over at her as they eat and smiled. the dinner was a bit too quite for his liking, so inbetween bites he tried to attempt a conversation with this beautiful woman.

âYes, brother would be very pleased wouldnât he?â
He raised an eyebrow and watched her, suddenly wary. He was being sincere and doing his best in fixing the relationship. However he wasnât sure she believed him at this point.
âYes, he would.â As long as this truce lasted. Although not entirely unreasonable, Poseidon was not exactly known to be very forgiving of others so she would have to wait and see if this was not some kind of plot to get her to lower her guard.
"Well I guess that is all done then."
He bowed once more and nodded to her before whistling for his horses and riding off into the night.

âTimes have changed sister and so have I⌠Iâd rather have my family understand where I am with them, than have a war of grudges amongst ourselves.â
His clear blue eyes matched her gaze with one of his own.
âI must admit I am pleased that the years have been so good to you.â Athena told him as she studied him to try to measure the sincerity in his words and actions. He did seem sincere but she could not help but be a bit wary.
âMy father would be very pleased to hear about this.â
"Yes, brother would be very pleased wouldn't he?"
He raised an eyebrow and watched her, suddenly wary. He was being sincere and doing his best in fixing the relationship. However he wasn't sure she believed him at this point.

He wrinkled his nose again but didnât bother trying to keep from laughing.Â
He laughed as well before falling back against the sand with a small 'fwomp.' He looked up at the sky and smiled to himself.
"What do you do as a job, boy?"
A piece offering (Athena)
âIt is my pleasure, I wish to fix that which was ruined so long ago.â
He bowed low at the hips to her and nodded slightly.
âI do hope you enjoy your gifts.â
âYour gifts were clearly well thought out and should prove useful to me. I shall enjoy them and thank you for them.â Her gaze was on the shield for a while, studying it in silent thought before she lifted her piercing gray eyes to him. âWhy the decision to make amends?â
"Times have changed sister and so have I... I'd rather have my family understand where I am with them, than have a war of grudges amongst ourselves."

:âSounds delightful.â
The rest of the walk was quiet as the two men kept to their own thoughts. As they entered the bar Poseidon was rather shocked in how tasteful the bar actually was, he caught himself smiling even. He sat in a booth with Zeus and let him order the drinks before leaning back and sighing deeply.
Zeus sat across from him, a feeling of pride coming over him when he saw his brother smile. He liked showing off his favored childrensâ accomplishments. Though he did raise an eyebrow at the sigh. âWhatâs wrong?â
"Work is busy, the wife is angry and I wish I could drink it all away."
He leaned forward and patted his brother on the shoulder before waving at the bar.
"Such a fine business your child has made."

âThat sounds like a swell plan, what do you wish to speak of.â
He smiled at his little pun and hoped Melicertes did as well. He never was the funniest of his brothers but he tried.
The boy god wrinkled his nose and tried to keep from laughing but failed. âThatâs a terrible pun.â
"Oh I do hope it gets put into a watery grave."
He grinned wider and nudged the boy.

âWill it to darken and it will look like it was made of stone.â
He waved his hands for her to try it. He was rather unsure of how she felt about it but he knew it was good, he had fought with it to test it. He relaxed against a tree and watched her fiddle with it.
âThat is useful.â She conceded as she tested out the shieldâs magic, willing it to darken. A shining sword was not entirely useful, especially when in a stealthy position. It seemed to be a fairly good shield although she would have to put it through the usual tests before she would take it into battle.
âThank you, Poseidon.â
"It is my pleasure, I wish to fix that which was ruined so long ago."
He bowed low at the hips to her and nodded slightly.

He shrugged and waved his hand as he spoke. To be honest he was over the Athens incident and he was tired of everyone assuming he still held a grudge.
âIt was ages ago, and I can now control my anger⌠I no longer hold a grudge against the town or Athena. In fact I have been trying to repair our relationship.â
He let the bag hang at his side and sighed.
That caused the younger god to smile, the smoother things ran in the family the happier he was. And the less headaches he had. âThatâs wonderful to hear. Thereâs a bar not far from here Dionysus owns, shall we head there?â
:"Sounds delightful."

âHe guided me in itâs constructionâŚâ
The shieldâs surface waved like it was water and her emblem became engraved on itâs face. It continued to shine brightly and he stood watching her study it.
âIt should be light and will take a hit and wave, and ripple, as it transfers the force around it, protecting the arm even more.â
âAhh,â That was a bonus in the shieldâs favour. Athena trusted Hephaestusâ skill in the forge, after all, though the fact that Poseidon had a hand in making it was a bit of a deterrent.
âIt does sound like a fine shield.â She commented as she tested its weight. âDoes it always shine like this?â
"Will it to darken and it will look like it was made of stone."
He waved his hands for her to try it. He was rather unsure of how she felt about it but he knew it was good, he had fought with it to test it. He relaxed against a tree and watched her fiddle with it.

He left and returned in the same fashion that he had first made his appearance. He held out a shield out to her, its fine silvery metal smooth and showing now ornate markings on it at all. He made sure the strap was facing her and he crouched once more.
âYour second gift.â
While she waited for his return, she set his first gift down onto a nearby table so she could deal with it later. His return was timely and again she found herself surprised to see his second gift. A shield was definitely something useful to her but her expression turned critical as she accepted the shield to study it with a discerning eye.
âIs this Hephaestusâ craftmanship?â
"He guided me in it's construction..."

âAh⌠a drink does sound nice, and well i hope you donât mind Delphin coming once in awhile to drop off paperwork, the boy doesnât know when to stop working.â
He continued to watch ahead as they walked, nodding to people every so often as they passed them.
âAnd they are away on business?â
âYes. Hera is away on business.â He said avoiding going into the business with Ganymede and Athena. He did not need his face rubbed into how bad an idea it was, sending away the Trojan on some useless errand in an attempt to get him and his daughter to get along. Speaking of Athena ⌠âI admit, Iâm surprised to see you here in Athens.âÂ
He shrugged and waved his hand as he spoke. To be honest he was over the Athens incident and he was tired of everyone assuming he still held a grudge.

He picked up the large duffel bag and walked alongside his brother, the question hanging in the air between them. He shifted his load and sighed.
âHelle is upset with me and has kicked me out for a few days. Something about her mother.â
Zeus raised an eyebrow, curious as to why Poseidon would let his wife give him orders but decided against asking. âYouâre more than welcome to stay with me. Hera is away on business, as is Ganymede⌠You look like you could use a drink first.â
"Ah... a drink does sound nice, and well i hope you don't mind Delphin coming once in awhile to drop off paperwork, the boy doesn't know when to stop working."

âThank you ⌠Poseidon. But I think this was necessary in way,â He said, flinching when the other god touched him. Not because it was Poseidon doing it, but because touch was something it took time for him to trust other people with.Â
He drew back his hand and noticed the boy flinch when he touched him. Many thoughts rushed in his head but he decided it would simply be left with him not touching Melicertes anymore.
âOh how so?â
âWe were almost inseparable for three-thousand years, â He sighed, before shaking his head. âDo you mind if we change the subject?â
"That sounds like a swell plan, what do you wish to speak of."
He smiled at his little pun and hoped Melicertes did as well. He never was the funniest of his brothers but he tried.
