ay y’all if a store closes at 8:00 and the manager announces the store is closed, that doesn’t mean you should keep perusing the aisles and trying on clothes. and it sure as hell doesn’t mean you should bring a bag of stuff to the checkout at 8:15 and ask for a return (?!). and if your cart is full of clothes you want to buy after the store is closed and we’ve already asked you repeatedly and politely to make your final selections and head to the one (1) cashier that’s still logged on, at least help take the hangers off of the pile of clothes when you get to the counter. 

store employees have things we absolutely have to do when we close, and we can’t go home until we do them. things like straightening up, sweeping, recovering items, refilling drink machines, logging stuff that’s been stolen, setting up for the morning shift, etc.

being considerate of employees’ time costs $0.00, and i wish service workers got more respect.
