how is it related to psychological time?
the story is about ancient people but our understanding is still strong as this distance actually makes us feel that there is an interesting correspondence in time
it’s as if we are going through spacetime with the characters
this is interesting in that it strikes a balance between two points
one is that it looks very entertaining we are used to
political figures are actually artists
post truth- to mean that nothing is authentic now
so when we’re watching the characters’ behaviors, These are not the behaviors depicted in Shakespeare’s time but when the two are put together, we can see the dialectical effect
you feel familiar when you’re watching it but it’s something in the old
the most critical and essential thing is all the figures once existed, we all know their outcomes and endings but when they put on modern costumes, we have a strong feeling that we wish to have the history rewritten and of course it’s not possible, and it’s this sorrowful state of this impossibility or when it’s extended to our own reflection system that your history may perhaps be rewritten.
the time itself in the drama
-time can make predictions telling you when you can move and it will also let you find the time to change locations by means of text and forms of expressions, so it’s constantly generating psychological changes in you:
-after you’ve started to see this play, and half an hour has passed, the audience will be told how long it takes for each scene change
if it take 3 minutes to change the next scene, you can make the use of 3 mints for the toilet or buy foods on the stage, if the next scene lasts for 15 mins only, the scene will be changed soon. it’s like changing flights, you will change the next flight soon. Therefore, the scene change also encourages the audience to change angles in seeing things.
