gays what is ur favorite ST character and why?? i think its pretty obvious who mine is (but will and max are close second tbh) AND I LOVE LUCAS TOO its hard to choose but i think i have to say mike for me i dont know i dont really have a well thought out take on why i think hes a great character but i'd like to know other peoples opinions

will’s happy ending isn’t just “being free from his connection the vecna/upside down” + “being accepted”. he is getting requited love. and yes, it’s definitely going to be him and mike in the end.

at the end of the day, he is getting the romantic love he deserves. they’re quite literally hinted it with this line.

storytelling wise, byler makes sense. there has been so much clear build up and they saved mike finding out about will’s feelings and the truth behind his painting for the FINALE SEASON. also i promise y’all if he was gonna get rejected, they wouldn’t be cruel+have it in season 5 when his character has gone through ENOUGH and they’ve shown how will’s love for mike has only grown 10x STRONGER throughout the seasons.

saying “will’s storyline is mostly JUST about finally being accepted “ is absolute bullshit because yes, that’s 1000% part of it but that’s not his happy ending. he’s going to find out his love for mike is requited.

he’s getting what his heart desires. the show is going to send a message that queer people don’t just have to accept the “bare minimum”

you need to remember that they’re continuously showing will in love with mike for a reason. if he was gonna be rejected. he would have done that by now. they had multiple chances to do that in the past already.

stranger things is all about plot twists. the fact that mike had feelings for will all along+never fully accepted it+ shoved those feelings down is something that can be a plot twist. mike didn’t find out yet about will lying about el “commissioning” the painting yet for a reason.
