I can't say enough good things about the Club, but here's a brief overview: It runs eight clubhouses that provide afterschool activities and mentoring to kids ages 6–18 in Reading and Pottstown. The clubhouses serve ~500 kids a day, and 3,000 to 4,000 kids in the Reading area participate in the Club's programs each year––84% of the youth it serves live at or below the national poverty level. Participation in these programs has helped to raise school attendance as well as graduation rates––92% of participating kids graduate from high school on time!
