Seriously I can't recommend this game enough

She knows the feeling, of course. It loomed over her constantly when she was alive, a weight she dragged behind her like a ball and chain. Living and dying in the same small town, always wondering when things would change, when she'd feel like she'd gotten somewhere.

Life was just like that, she figured. Every step forward she took brought her no closer and every knowing voice she listened to sang a chorus of 'not yet'. Hell is different, but not really. Even in death, life feels like a promise for a future that never really comes.

Charlie is much, much older than her, but young in the way they can keep running-- Vaggie's long since slowed her pace.

"Welcome to living, hon. Life is 99% 'not right now' and 1% 'right now'." It's not the most reassuring she could be, but to say that Charlie will get what they're working towards would only feel like a lie. They both know Vaggie has no way of knowing that.
