I'm Karume and I write fanfics. Sometimes I draw little comics and pieces of fanart. As for ask policies and what to expect...

Do's:

X Reader- Mostly a gender-neutral reader based loosely on myself who does whatever the plot needs to get the desired effect. Of course if you have specifications, please don't hesitate to say so.

OC x Canon- Uh... a little less confident in these, but I haven't had a serious complaint so far... But, it is what's on the tin. Describe your OC (Plot in the first ask and details in a second ask or in DMs pls. I won't out you from anon if you aren't comfortable with it) and the relationship with the desired character(s).

Canon x Canon- Another I'm not super confident in but... Also pretty straightforward. Whatever type of relationship between 2 or more characters as long as it doesn't go against the Don'ts below.

Canon Rewrites- Or Pseudo Canon, whatever you'd like to call it. More a sub-category to the others, but if a plot point was bugging you then I'll do what I can to uh... "fix it". Or at least expand on it more.

Headcanons- Pretty straightforward as well, just fewer words. Any kind of prompt can be a headcanon, but sometimes condensing things down and adding a bunch of meta-style jokes makes it a little better.

AUs- Mostly crossover style AUs with other franchises. Though I have a couple where its just a change in career.

DON'Ts:

Power Imbalance- Any form of drastic power imbalance where one party has more control over the relationship and has no problem using that power to get what they want.

Over Write a Prompt/Ask- Please please please, PLEASE don't tell me how the characters feel. At that point, you've written it yourself and I'm little more than a ghostwriter. I will not do that. There is a difference, I promise. Now, if you want to ask for a specific vibe or category of fic; that's another thing. But if you want the character to have specific reactions to the prompt then it's overwritten.

Whumptober 2024: Day 28

Zed x Reader; Stuck in Bad Weather

Looking around at their surroundings, Zed was beyond frustrated and worried. He had no clue how the two of you managed to end up in the one section of of Hellsalem's Lot with perpetual snow fall and blizzards. It was rare for the weather to ever leave this section, but whoever or whatever had set off the snow in the rest of the city- had to be here. But neither you nor Zed was supposed to make it this far. Klaus and Steven were the most resistant to the cold while Zed was by far the least resistant to the snow and ice.

Yet here you two were, in the middle of the falling snow- and from the looks of it, everything was about to get a lot worse.

You had no clue how to navigate through the falling snow, much less a potential blizzard. But you had a plan. "We need to find a cave or something, at least until we figure out how to tell where we are."

"Shouldn't we just use your phone's GPS to get out of here?" Zed was already holding himself, trying to keep what little body heat he has intact.

You sighed, resignedly showing him your phone, "The signal is getting weak and the last thing that popped up was a snowstorm warning. We couldn't use it right now even if we wanted to."

"Gr-gr-great." Zed grumbled through chattering teeth, "S-s-s-s-so we basica-ca-ca-cally have no options."

You nodded solemnly, scanning the area for any kind of cover the two of you could huddle in until the storm passed. Jumping when Zed pressed against you, he was beyond freezing after less than 5 minutes. It was clear you had to find shelter now. But there was nothing but a vast, white, snowy expanse as far as the eye could see- at least from what you thought you were seeing.

Grabbing Zed's arm, you set off in the direction you thought you'd come from- hoping you'd be able to find something. Instead of an exit, you found a massive wall. The frustration welling up inside you toppled instantly as you started frantically searching for an opening. The hope that you could find a cave or something making you move faster- all but dragging Zed behind you as he shuddered and wobbled on his unsteady legs.

You had to act faster. For Zed's sake.

What felt like hours of trudging through the snow, a harsh blizzard whipping around- knocking you and Zed into the rock wall you were currently hugging in your search for shelter- finally ended. One fierce gust of wind knocked Zed clean on top you as you you tumbled backward over a low wall, practically shoving you both into a tiny cave of sorts.

You had to move fast, dragging Zed over toward the wall just beyond the opening you just stumbled through. It felt as if he were nearly frozen already, you didn't know how to else to really help at this very second. Not without blocking off as much of the entrance as you possibly could first. Hauling and shoving the nearby rocks and boulders, doing what you could to pack some snow into a wall you could later dig your way out of- once you regained signal and the ability to call for help that was.

The sweat dripping off you was unexpected, your skin felt like it was on fire and freezing over at the same time as you looked at a hole right at the top of the hasty patch job. There wasn't anything you could light on fire at all in here. Though moving away from the direct cold, your body heat could probably melt the snow itself. But you needed to make sure Zed was okay.

Aside from his skin being ice cold, his heart was still beating- though worryingly slowly- and his breathing equipment was still filtering the water into his gills. Otherwise he was unresponsive, you hoped he had only just fell asleep while you were blocking off the entrance. Sinking to the ground next to him, pulling him gently into you- despite the bite of how cold he was compared to how warm you were from the physical labor.

Your own heart couldn't help beating faster. This was not the time to get distracted by your crush on Zed. This was a life or death situation- not an opportunity for anything else. But the way he jolted, wrapping his arms around you in his primal survival instincts- you felt a different kind of heat flood your face.

You just had to survive the snowstorm, right?

Whumptober 2024: Day 15

Zed x Reader; An endless stream of concerned ramblings while tending injuries

"What do you mean 'it was an accident'?" You huffed, watching Zed ease himself down into a tub full of ice, "If he has the ability to manipulate fire, shouldn't he be able to- I dunno- not torch everyone in a five mile radius!?!?!?"

Zed could only wince as he leaned back in the cold tub, as you dumped more ice on top of him as gently as you could. His eyelids flickering in a mix of pain and relief as the ice melted quickly over his burns. He was trying to follow your movements- not out of a lack of trust, but for his unstoppable stubborn protectiveness. But you were a little too busy fuming to notice, your mind preoccupied yet torn with getting the aloe-vera and other burn alleviating topical medicines and water-proof bandages... and the powerful urge to find and strangle Zapp- though you didn't really know who he was beyond the social media smear campaigns he was always part of.

"I mean- for f+ck's sake!" You hissed, "He was trained by the bastard you were, right? So he should be a hell of a lot better at his... whatever it is he's doing- so he doesn't leave the people he's working with nearly catatonic."

It was all Zed could do to keep his mouth shut as you applied yet another cold substance to his skin- a sticky glob of medicine being rubbed tenderly in his burned flesh.

"And why didn't anyone smack him at least?" You were barely successful at lowering your voice so as to not hurt Zed yourself. the level of self-control you needed right now was ungodly, "Is there even some kind of real consequences for him doing this? Or does it just slip through? Cause that would explain so f+cking much about this situation."

"[Name]" Zed mumbled, "Maybe getting worked up over this isn't the best idea? I mean, I doubt there's anything anyone could do about Zapp's behavior and lack of respect towards anyone and their wellbeing."

"Wouldn't stop me from trying..." You murmured under your breath, "Wouldn't even need any of that fancy blood magic you guys use, just my old softball bat."

"That's a worse idea."

"Well so is frying your coworker, but that doesn't seem to stop Zapp!"

Zed blanked, there was no rebuttal to that logic. Not that Zapp would acknowledge that in the slightest, but Zed knew better than to argue with someone willing to soothe his burns at 1 in the morning. Especially when they were- objectively speaking- absolutely correct about the matter.

"Besides," You reached down for the roll of gauze and scissors, "He f+cking lucky your burns aren't that deep. Pretty nasty for a second degree burn, but not so bad that it won't heal in a few days."

"More like I'm the lucky one." Zed chuckled sheepishly.

You blinked at Zed, almost worried that his injuries were compounding his lack of sleep- making him more than a little delirious.

If only it wasn't such a struggle to meet your eyes in the moment, "I mean, I have you, don't I?"

The strained groan, struggling to deal with the waves of embarrassment and giddiness that became visible as you blushed. Sometimes you really didn't know where Zed picked up on these things... he didn't use to flirt this smoothly before...

"I'm still going to hunt your coworker for sport later," You mumbled, "Since you won't be able to stop me..."

"I doubt that." Zed whispered, clumsily leaning over to bump his forehead against yours, "You're too sweet for that."

"Staaaahp..." You nudged him gently, playfully, "You're gonna make me ink."

Libra's Halloween Party

It is a costume party, but costumes not required… of course

Zapp tried to spike the punch bowl, but Gilbert anticipated this and simply “forgot” to add alcohol to one bowl… then swapped note cards after Zapp did his thing

It started far later than other parties, so no little ones running around (8pm -12am)

Instead of radios, there’s a “never ending” stream of classic horror/Halloween movies playing on the TV’s (All of which are hooked up to the same system with the DVD player well out of harm’s way)

There is still music playing along side the movies, but it isn’t so loud as to drown out the movies

Klaus has fallen for the same little jump scare spider five times now because he simply forgets that it’s hidden by his own flower pots

Leo and Zapp ended up making a dream team on décor and special effects, though K.K. did the finishing touches to really make everything pop

Patrick went overboard with the confetti canon upgrades… and shot Steven in the back with a large ball of themed confetti…

Steven is still shedding confetti and trying to pop his back

In his attempts to steal as many treats as possible, Sonic got his costume stuck on the decorations and was dangling from a spider web to serve his time out

He didn’t learn his lesson and got stuck on the scarecrow a few minutes after being freed…

Yeah, no one really paid any attention to the theme while decorating, so it looks like a middle school ‘toss everything in’ themed dance

Zed tried to go to bed early, but the party was just a little too loud… so he decided to stay up and socialize a bit more

Zapp made an attempt to prank Klaus, thinking his boss is afraid of spiders, but Klaus caught the plastic spider and just… looked at it for a second before setting it down somewhere

Chain ducked out shortly after Steven got shot with confetti to join the other werewolves on another black-out binge at a private room bar

She had plans to say something to Steven… but didn’t want to do so after he got coated in confetti… didn’t want to risk her fidgeting coming off as annoying since Steven wasn’t having a good time with his back

Costume Party

Is either wearing a teddy bear costume, or a Victorian era vampire costume

Would adore it if you wanted to wear a matching costume

Will change his mind in a heartbeat if you want to do some other kind of couple costume however

Will get all kinds of flustered if you wear a 'sexy' costume

Likely doesn't dress up much at all, but if he does feel the spirit, then he's in complex face paint to look like a skeleton (he would have done a sugar skull motif, but didn't want to go to war)

You two end up winning 'Cutest Couple' of the evening

Won't try to persuade you too much about matching his costume, but would really love that

Might take a bit to persuade him onto a different kind of couple costume, but he ends up caving pretty quickly if its a more ris-que style costume. Even it neither are the sexy variants

If you do end up wearing a sexy costume, expect Steven to be eyeing you all night and a little riled up when you get home

Steven might win 'Best Dressed' but it's not a guarantee

Is trying so hard to not come off as too geeky, but would love to dress up like a video game character.

Would die if you matched his costume, absolutely heart eyed over you

Is very easy to get him to wear any other costume, as long as it is a couple themed one

Will be a flaming blushing mess if you wear a sexy costume at all

Didn't win any kind of award at the party, but was a close second to 'Cutest Couple' and 'Most Creative'

Will try to wear a paper sign that says costume

Gripes and complains if you get him an actual costume, but he will wear it... just expect him to try and strip off most of it while at the party

Doesn't want to do the couple costume thing...

But will if you wear a sexy costume, the skimpier the better

You thought he'd be all over you before... well now he's trying to fight anyone who looks at you

Won't win any awards, but might get you two thrown out of the party

Isn't so sure he wants to wear a costume, but with a good explanation of the costume itself and why you want to wear it (rest of the Halloween history optional) he'll concede

Isn't sure what types of couple costumes you two could even pull off, so will listen to whatever you try to tell him

Might faint from over flustered if you wear a sexy costume, won't match you in wearing one (no fish bellies on display)

Is very protective over you the whole night though

Might win 'Most Creative' but probably won't

Wants to wear something creepy, maybe on old Annabelle or twisted Alice in Wonderland style

Would love to wear a couples costume, very glad you suggested it too

Will be hiding the beginnings of a nose bleed if your wear a sexy costume, might join you in a similar style but is so embarrassed the whole time

Depending on the costume, she either gets 'Creepiest Costume' or 'Sexiest Couple'

Boi is hyped to wear something from a romance movie... Either Phantom of the Opera or Addams Family

Either way, he is practically begging you to match his costume

If you suggest some other couple costume, he will be 1000% on board, as long as he gets to match

Isn't affected by you wearing a sexy costume as much as you'd think, he will absolutely match your energy and just cause a riot

Absolutely will win either 'Best Dressed' just narrowly beating Steven, or 'Cutest/Sexiest Couple'

Minimal effort in his costume, might ditch his trench coat and put on a normal suit jacket to claim he's wearing a costume

If you get him a costume, he'll wear it... If it matches yours even better

But if it's a sexy style then he's trying to find his own and puts more effort into his own costume

Will try desperately to talk you out of a sexy costume for the party

Doesn't get an award at all...

So much effort went into his costume that he makes a very convincing werewolf or terrifying amalgamate creature (I would say Wendigo because it's very similar in style and look but it isn't that cause... cultures)

Is a bit difficult to convince into a couple's costume if you don't want to match him in any way (whether he helps you become an equally convincing creature or the hunter)

Will be all over you if you wear a sexy costume, trying to hide you from prying eyes if you're showing too much skin

Wins 'Most Creative' and possibly 'Creepiest Costume'

Just oh so confused by this huma 'ritual'. Why ???

Even after hearing the explanation, he's difficult to get into a costume, because he doesn't want to take off his shawls or helm

Doesn't want other people trying to flirt with you so will not let you wear the sexy variants of costumes

He will wRAP YOU IN BLANKETS YOU STUBBORN HUMA!!!!

His costume is one of those where it looks like he is riding a creature, or one of those giant blow up costumes like dinosaur

Either that or something extra classy like undertaker or vampire, or if he's really in the mood... a medieval royal costume

Would adore for you to wear a matching outfit (especially a royal looking one) and might just use a two man costume for it (he will take the back part of it so you don't get uncomfortable)

If you wear a sexy costume, then he will try to match, but would rather not

Either wins 'Best Dressed' or 'Cutest Couple"

Is wearing the cutest thing she can and will not let you wear something that doesn't match

She won't fight against you if you want to wear sexy variant (she won't match you on that but she will stare and drool over you all night)

Either wins 'Cutest Costume', 'Cutest Couple', or 'Best Dressed' depending on the costume she wears

Trick or Treating

Really doesn't want to go for the same reasons Klaus is torn, but also that he isn't so certain that anyone would actually except things from him. Gives in because you asked a million times and convinced him to see it as patrolling.

Is torn because he doesn't think the city will actually calm down for Trick or Treating but still wants to go pass out treats. Has to compromise by helping him think of it as patrolling the city while passing out treats.

Keeps getting mistaken for a Trick or Treater himself so people keep trying to give him candy... Sonic isn't complaining though. But Leo is just a little upset that this is his reality.

Doesn't want to go at all. Just wants to go party, or might try to snag some candy from a random kid just because he doesn't want to go door to door.

Isn't keen on going because he could be called off to work and leave you stranded somewhere without protection. But is a little curious to go and at least see what the hype is about. Also would probably prefer to pass out candy or little plastic trinkets.

Would rather not go Trick or Treating around the city because of all the crazy things that are inevitable in this city. But is also a little torn because her friends in the werewolf bureau are either throwing a party or going with Emmalina and her son.

Is so excited to go out with you, especially passing out the things you've spent hours making. That and he wanted to show off his costume skills, and have extra reasons to be a cuddly sweetheart with you. But does get a bit nervous about possibly being called back to work.

Doesn't really pay attention but is going with you. Keeps checking to make sure places are safe then helping pass around treats. He isn't so sure he has what it takes to be a father figure at all.

He is absolutely using his squad car to slowly drive around with you. Showing off a softer side while passing out treats, letting wide-eyed curious kids sit in his lap while in the squad car, or letting them sit in the parked squad car and act like a police man. Will be denying all this to high heaven by tomorrow.

Just so very confused over this whole 'ritual' and floats around to tail you and keep you safe. Gets so weirded out by curious little kids trying to ask about how he floats... how is he suppose to answer that question.

Is dressed to the nines and pulling you around for the whole evening. Absolutely loves going to get treats, but won't mind helping you give out treats the whole evening as well.

Also dressed to the nines to go around trick or treating, just in the most adorable ways. Won't try to stop you from passing around treats, as long as you stick with her the whole night and save one... or several... for her.

Handmade Halloween Costumes

Just straight up slicks his hair back and wears a different color suit and tie playing up the business man costume. Might be talked into wearing something more like a gypsy style costume. (Loose shirt, hip scarf, lots of bright colors etc.)

Either he's running around shirtless (ish) in a caveman style costume made from old, worn out sheets, a Greek inspired robe made from sheets, or his best attempt at Ganondorf in a modern suit. Also might just wear the family crested suit of armor (I could honestly seeing him have a suit of armor that fits him) and simply refuse to carry an actual weapon.

Uses several cardboard boxes to replicate the military suit from the Hard Drive series. Sonic is likely wearing a mini, cardboard, replica of one of the vehicles in-game.

Lazy dumb &ss just wrapped a sheet around his shoulders like a cape and called it a day. That is, he ditched his leather jacket for the 'cape' and refuses to do anything else for a costume.

Isn't sure what to do, ends up going to a thrift store first. Then uses a combination of cardboard boxes and old sheets to make the 'head in the table' costume.

Wearing mostly black, she has this little doll like thing she can carry that is wearing an old style, little girl dress. Yes she freaked several people out by using her powers to make the doll body barely float on the ground. No we don't ask how many times she's used this against Zapp... we also don't ask why she even has the doll thing in the first place.

He goes full classic, a popped open flannel and ripped jeans with some fake fur or extra fluffy scarves to be a werewolf.

He, like Steven, does the bare minimum to say he's dressed as a private investigator. Though can be easily persuaded into something more like he stepped out of A Christmas Carol.

He is using just about everything except the kitchen sink to make a convincing Frankenstein's monster costume. Or he might go with something closer to his favorite wrestler (The Undertaker).

Did NOT understand the assignment and just wore his prosthetic suit dressed in a bed sheet with only his head sticking out the top. No one knows what he's suppose to be at this point.

Can't decide if he wants to be make a royal outfit or go all in on a mad scientist look, so combines them. Cardboard crown, messing up his hair as much as possible, lab coat over puffy shirt and dress pants. All different styles, colors, and so on.

Went all out making a candy themed witch costume, even to the point of hot gluing wrapped pieces of candy all over. Might add a cape or cloak to that, but will want to look as cute as possible.

Carving Pumpkins

Tries to do complicated carvings, then ends up putting a little too much pressure at the last second and barely messing it up... but he sees the whole flaw

If he's doing simple faces then this comes out with extra lines around the corners

Would also like to reserve the smallest of pumpkins for painting or gluing art supplies to for inside the house

Won't hesitate to hollow out the pumpkins himself, but is wearing gloves and using specific tools for it

Very skilled with a knife and will absolutely have some stencils of more difficult carvings

Might attempt to save some pumpkin seeds in an attempt to grow his own, but is far more likely to want to roast the seeds instead

Though if he's too tired then he'll concede to doing simple faces and call it a night

Doesn't mind doing the goring for all the pumpkins, but would like a hand... and some gloves

Just tosses the innards without a second thought, because he has never been able to properly dry pumpkin seeds from a fresh pumpkin

Is very excited to be doing this... just hopes that his apartment doesn't get hit by anything before he can display his masterpiece

Is mostly carving simple faces and basic designs, anything more complicated and he fumbles badly

Doesn't really like goring the pumpkins, because of how the innards feel, even with gloves on... it feels weird

Once its all done... Leo has to try and keep Sonic out of the pumpkins because the little terror monkey wants that for his new house

Gripes and complains about 'having to do everything' but is secretly hyped to be carving pumpkins

Is trying his hardest to make complex designs without a template, but screws it up badly

Hates hollowing out the pumpkins because of how weird it feels, might just make you do it instead

Ends up lighting the whole pumpkin on fire when he tries to put the candle in it

Deeply curious about the whole process, and history of Jack-o-Lanterns in general

Is rather careful with it all and is quite capable of really intricate designs

Is nervous to hollow out a pumpkin because the innards will get stuck under his claws... finds he really doesn't like the feeling of the goop in his hands

Doesn't even like pumpkin seeds, so doesn't want to try roasting them

Isn't very good at this at all and will use her powers to make it easier on herself...

Even with that, her carvings come out janky looking

Kinda likes hollowing out the pumpkins, the weird feeling of the innards is much better than people guts

Isn't much better at drying pumpkin seeds, so no roasted seeds for her...

So excited to be doing this, loves any and every excuse to show his creativity

More likely to want to paint the pumpkins or glue things to them instead of carving, but won't hesitate to carve

Also doesn't hesitate to hollow the pumpkins himself, isn't affected by the feel of the innards at all

Forgot that he was going to do that today... oops, still excited and wants to... he just, forgot

Mostly sticks with simple faces or easy designs instead of anything too complex

Will begrudgingly hollow out the pumpkins but would really like to not do that... at all

Has too many pumpkins to carve and can't wait to get started

Is really masterful at carving the pumpkins in complicated patterns and special designs

Has all the tools to gore a pumpkin because that's the one thing he hates about carving pumpkins

Even worse because he really wants to pick the seeds out to dry them... but touching the innards... but fresh roasted seeds...

Confused... very confused. Humas know spirits don't need lanterns to find places... right?

Even explaining it to him doesn't help... but he will try to help you carve

Is very good at it, using his Wind Weaver to get extremely precise cuts... but ended up demolishing several pumpkins before figuring out the right amount of force

Also managed to scrape out the innards with his blood threads... which didn't affect him at all, he doesn't know why you said it was an unpleasant experience

Having way too much fun with this tbh

Regular pumpkin face? What's that?

Very skilled at carving... don't ask why... and has very odd design choices

Has a way to get rid of the innards without scooping??? somehow???

Also having too much fun with this

Refuses to touch the innards, period

We don't acknowledge her carving skills... nope

But she does want the pumpkin seeds, she loves roasted pumpkins seeds

Halloween Decorations

Definitely trying to be the most friendly looking house with his decorations

Mostly pumpkins, scarecrows, and Nightmare Before Christmas themed decorations

Doesn't go too overboard with interior decorations and is absolutely going for minimalistic and cute

Would rather not decorate because he knows he'll forget to take it all down again

Might have table cloths/doilies featuring bats, spiders, and cats

Maybe hangs a Fall wreath on his door, but rarely will it ever be switched for a Halloween themed one

Eventually caves and sets up a couple little plastic/ ceramic pumpkins in a classy, chic way

Any carved pumpkins go out on the terrace though

Wants to, but it looks a little funny... and Sonic keeps getting tangled in the decorations

Then again, it is because his decorations are mostly garland and plastic pieces from the dollar store

And he tried making some kind of wreath and paper ring garland for himself, but then... Sonic happened and stole the glitter... and the glue gun... and some of the paper rings...

Yeah, turns out Sonic wanted to decorate a little corner, specifically around his bed... but now it's a mess and Sonic glued a paper ring to his back... somehow

Won't remember to decorate, won't remember to take it down... so what's the point

Might set up some really creepy stuff and motion sensing spiders or hands

But then comes home drunk, creeps himself out, and destroys it without hesitation

Maybe sets up a little graveyard/pumpkin patch across a table if he really wants to

The most he does is stickers across his tank... maybe a little garland if he can figure out those little sticky hooks

He doesn't really even want to, until the history of Halloween is explained to him...

Then he's trying to make accurate decorations like warding charms and mini monster origami pieces

Her decorations got... buried in her closet. Yeah, it'll take a while to dig those out...

But she is absolutely ready to put up all of them if she can.

Little witch hats on everything, a large cauldron in the corner (that becomes her clothes hamper but shhh) and some spider web decorations... that have tangled around other things like mini skeletons and bats...

Oh well, looks better that way and she has no reason to 'fix' it... it looks perfect like that

More excited to make little dioramas of spooky scenes... though most will look like the Peanuts or Scooby Doo scenes

Maybe a few garlands or paper chains, but mostly sticking to shadow box like decorations

Has them all stacked on a nearly empty book case with little plastic pumpkins

Will forget to decorate....then forget to take it all down, but is excited to decorate

Mostly sticks to 'normal' decorations like cats and bats

Might have a wreath or two he wants to hang up on the door

These decorations have been sitting out since August and he has been waiting for a chance to decorate

He pulls out all the stops and forgets to leave moving space in the apartment

There are motion sensor decorations, hanging decorations, the kitchen looks like a graveyard and the living room looks like it belongs to Dracula....

He is a little too pumped for this holiday

Doesn't refister that there are new decorations up, or that they're all special ones

Until you put stickers on 'his' window... then he has several questions

If you mention it early, he'll try to look for specific things while he's traveling

Bold of you to assume he took down last year's decorations

He just adds to every year, shuffling a wide variety of styles all unceremoniously mashed together

Even makes his own little decorations from time to time....usually hooked up to motuon sensors to become jump scares

Has a dedicated area for year-round decorations

Only extends this to the rest of the apartment on the last day of September

It is all cutesy horror themed... Alice in Wonderland, Little Nightmares, Corpse Bride...those kinds of themes

Halloween Parade

Constantly stepping back a little so the children around him can get the thrown candy.

Really likes how the people in the gory costumes being extra sweet with the kids

Barely paying much attention to what's going on because he is watching for any kind of threat... seems like the kind of event that would be an easy target

Goes starry-eyed over the Tim Burton themed floats (since they are just recreating the way his favorite movies look)

Does like some of the more creative floats, when he actually looks at the parade

Gets nudged a couple times by someone saying he should "behave like a kid while he can" because he isn't trying to go for any of the candy

Has to keep Sonic on a leash otherwise the little trouble maker would steal the whole bag of candy off several floats and try to eat it all himself

Ends up really enjoying the event since its the one time main street isn't under attack

Is tying to pick up some of the thrown candy, and insists on being close to the start of the parade so you two can get the best stuff and leave early

Behaves himself... a little... so you don't get into too much trouble

Takes a couple pics on his phone of the gory ones due to how creative it is

Gets a little excited to see what this ends up becoming, and is a tad disappointed with how slowly it moves...

Steps back often so the kids can pick up candies...particularly with human kids

Prefers the silly, kid friendly floats

Likely went with the other werewolves because Emmelina wnd her son

Is happily helping him gather candy when not holding your hand

Can't decide on the Tim Burton style floats or the gory floats being her favorite

Is just happily watching without a care in the world

Really likes the brightly spooky floats

Distracted the whole time, just standing there and holding your hand

Steps back often to avoid people trying to accuse him of....things

If he isn't working the parade as security or police escort, then he's watching with you

Really likes the more classic themed floats and will take blurry pics of them

Doesn't understand why people are linging up for this, or anything about the situation

Almost throws the candy back because he doesn't know why it was thrown in the first place

Then realizes its candy and calms down

Is critiquing the floats for creativity and moving parts

Wants the costumed characters to be real so badly...keep him away from costume/mascot shops

Is a little disappointed that the floats are so tame, even if they are supposed to be dumbed down for kids

Might make her parade of actually creepy floats...keep an eye on her

Fall Festival

Is delighted to wander the little stalls just browsing

On his own, he might pick up a couple things here or there for decorating

If his partner wants something (even if they don't say anything and just stare at the object in question) he is getting that for them, no questions asked

Sadly, is on high alert the whole time, he tried relaxing honest... but its a big public place and something could pop out at any moment

Will want to stop by a food stall or two, especially to pick up some hot cocoa while the two of you wander around

He might pick up a couple glass ornaments for his apartment, if only to have a couple classy trinkets

Won't hesitate to ask if his partner wants the thing they've been staring at (no matter what it is, they could be staring at a hat-scarf thing that looks like a cartoon animal...)

Will also insist on getting something to snack on/ something warm to drink as they wander around

Its almost like his inner child was unlocked, some deep core memory finally came to the surface and he's grinning of his own accord

Is more interested in playing some of the games set up than browsing the shop stalls

Is likely sporting some kids toys to take back to his apartment rather than any decorating trinket

Did cave and get a nice looking scarf, hat, glove set at his partner's insistence

Has to keep Sonic from trying to steal everything he wants to eat because the shop keeps WILL try to go after Leo about it

He is having a blast, or he would be if there was something to do other than walk around and stand in lines

Those few moments he is playing a carnival game, he's having fun. Being a show off and trying to win all the best prizes

And he claims there isn't room in his apartment for any of this 'junk' so he's giving it to his partner (but they can always see through that nonsense)

Will be frequenting food stalls almost every ten minutes looking for something tasty

Sticks close to his partner, but can't contain his excitement over just how much is going on

Has likely found the one vendor selling books and has to be dragged away to avoid spending all his pocket change on books

Does also appreciate the nice looking ornaments, but doesn't think it a good idea to get any due to him living at HQ

Is a bit blindsided by his own stomach growling (he was just so caught up in exploring everything) but does manage to find a decent stand to get something a bit more filling than funnel cake

She can't decide where she wants to go first, there's so many pretty things and junk food options around that she doesn't know where to wander first

Will look at several things that she chants about 'not needing' under her breath, her apartment tends to get very messy between jobs...

Though will encourage her partner to get the pretty/ interesting thing they're looking at because they deserve it

Has bought one too many deep fried foods from various vendors and is feeling it by morning

He's just excited to be going somewhere with his sweetheart, doesn't matter where

Does have an eye for the nicest decorations sitting around, and might pick up a couple for his apartment

is very curious over what his partner decides to pick up though, subtly taking note of their sense of style in the process

Will try to insist on getting snacks and drinks before they leave

Little on edge from all the weird things happening around the area, so much destruction

Does try to get some kind of keep sake, typically ending up getting festive ties and scarves

Wants to get his partner something more special, particularly if they've been eyeing something, but also wants to hold off for other holiday shopping

In other words he might come back to pick it up after he's seen his partner home and save it for Christmas/ birthday... whichever comes first

Will throw a fit if his partner tries to refuse getting something while they wander ("Don't try that, I can hear your stomach from here.")

Assuming he isn't working security, he's excited to go

More curious about the different things on sale than anything

Gets a bit too over competitive with the games, but is trying to have a good time with his partner

Is looking for a specific stall for hot cocoa vause he knew he saw it here last year...

Curiouser and curiouser

Just wondering what all this is for as he looks around

Finds the food stalls instantly and doesn't want to be leave them

Is trying to find the weirdest looking decorations he can, and a little disappointed at how normal they all look

Does manage to find rather cool looking glass figurines

Won't hesitate to win his partner many prizes from the 'games' and doesn't settle for just any little prize

Has tried getting deep fried cotton candy....despite every vendor telling him its impossible

Will be clinging off her partner's arm the whole time, wanting to be as romantic as possible

Won't be satisfied until they win her the biggest stuffed animal they can find

Has likely spotted several cute things to buy and is carrying the smallest item(s) she can

Has eaten one too many funnel cakes and cotton candy clouds....

Libra Jr. Halloween Special

He is adamant about going with, must protect his family

Makes sure they all have the costume they want, if that means matching then Klaus is matching his little ones

Won’t hesitate to carry the treat bags (or the kids) if they get tired.

Damien takes his role as big brother very seriously, even when it’s just protecting baby Evalyn while she’s in a stroller

Most likely to dress like a bizarro version of the Addams family (all the different “classic” monsters)

One year, when Damien was in high-school, he dressed exactly like Klaus (because his father’s clothes fit… just a smidge loose on him) and the two were nearly indistinguishable (RIP Zapp cause he tried to pick a fight with Damien thinking it was Klaus…)

Keeps a very close eye on everyone coming anywhere near his family no matter how many kids he has to protect

Tries a little to get the kids into specific costumes but folds fast when they ask about different costumes (poor Steven wanted to match so no one would try anything but the babies wanted different stuff)

Steven insisted on an outfit that would allow him to carry the kid’s candy buckets when they get tired of doing so

Poor Steven melted the year Bella wanted to dress like a mini version of him… came home to help prep and baby Bella (about 5 or 6) asking him how to tie a tie while wearing a little suit similar to his

Phillip and Felix took the twin costumes to a new level by using “mirror” costume color schemes… basically both wearing the same costume just in different colors

High alert Leo and Sonic, cause Sonic got attached to the babies himself…

Regardless of his costume, Leo has a large backpack to help carry things when the kids get tired

Very good at making really unique costumes while using regular, cheap costume bases (might have bought the dollar store TMNT costumes… but with a little cardboard and paint, it looks really close to the cartoon)

Is second only to K.K. on how many pictures he’s taken and while he might want to wear a family matching costume, it comes down to whether the kids want to

Abigail and Micheal broke him when they were 4… they wore a set of matching costumes exactly the same as he and Michella did when Michella was 4 and Leo was 7 (just cute little knight and princess costume broke the Leo…)

Joey legit broke Leo the first year Madeline was able to go Trick or Treating by being a literal Turtle Knight (reusing the shell of his costume the year prior and adding it to his knight costume)

There is a lot of reusing costumes and keeping parts as hand-me-downs (not that the kids mind, they can use this stuff however they want)

He really worries about going out with his family, mostly that someone he’s pissed off will try to target them later

He’s still on high alert and refuses to let this fear keep him from protecting his family

If the kid’s have met big half sister Valerie then they want her to tag along (Valerie would be maybe 8-10 years older than Adam… I think)

Zapp doesn’t like the matching costume thing, but will give in cause his kids want to and won’t leave him alone about it

Every time any of the kids have a costume that needs a sword, Zapp tries to give them a dried blood sword… (smack him with a frying pan, should stop him)

Lisa broke Zapp when she was 7… she wanted to dress up like a really cool (bad&ss) female character (let’s say Anna Velarios from Van Hellsing 2008) and Zapp nearly broke his neck (and back and Leo’s leg) to get her as close to that costume as he could get it

Duncan and Adam had the opposite effect because both wanted to dress like cute animals multiple years in a row until they were 6-8

Is keeping very close to the babies every year, refuses to leave his family anywhere except home

Is trying his best to get the costume pieces and make something unique out of the cheap costumes in the stores (is second best, arguably third behind Zapp but shhh)

Never had the childhood of going Trick or Treating, so doesn’t have any reference for what is and isn’t normal costumes…

Keeps a bag to help carry things when the kids get tired and eventually carries the kids

Coraline has a long string of costumes that get her teased by little girls outside her friend group for being too boyish, but Zed assures her that its perfectly fine as long as she’s happy with what she’s wearing

One year Cody doubles down on this and tries to wear a princess costume, but Coraline can tell he really doesn’t want to
