you arrive slightly after yourself. not gone, just hovering at the edges, testing the temperature of the space before committing your full weight to it. your presence is light, translucent, careful. people may overlook you at first. but they notice when you leave. the room feels subtly altered ― quieter, less layered. your absence has contour. it lingers. you are not invisible. you are protective of your aliveness.
