Billy Idol, a member of Generation X at the time, photographed in 1978 by Theresa Kereakes in the Los Angeles airport while an unidentified woman pinned a carnation on the top buttonhole of his jacket.  

According to the photographer, this lady had absolutely no idea who Billy Idol was or about punk rock but she was simply drawn to his natural magnetism and head-turning star quality.
