Aaliyah had been on my mind all night. I did go to sleep a little bit but I ended waking up early. Getting up from the bed quietly not disturbing her, I looked around Aaliyah's room.
Her room had bare walls, actually her room was pretty bare. She had a regular dresser, a desk that only had a lamp and a laptop on it.
I looked at her closet and opened it slowly. Inside were just baggy clothes and a couple pair of shoes. Was this how she was living?
Is this why she was so quiet? Is this why she was drinking? No it had to be something else. I can't be a boyfriend in the damn dark.
I had a bunch of questions that were going to get answered today. I was about to close her closet when something shiny caught my eye.
My face scrunched kneeling down and pushing the closet door all the way back. When I moved her clothes out the way I saw what looked like a hidden supply of her alcohol.
A lot of the bottle were half empty, some of the bottles it looked like she finished off and some of them haven't even been open.
I looked back at Aaliyah and shook my head how could she keep this from me. I put all the bottles in box she had them in and carried the box out her room.
Making my way into the kitchen, I put the box on the counter next to the sink and opened all the bottles that were new and used.
Not really caring if Aaliyah got mad at me or not I started to dump all them fucking bottles out. This shit stops today.
The more I poured the bottles out the more I got mad, yes my anger was with Aaliyah but at my damn self. I should have caught this shit sooner.
While finishing off the bottles in the sink I heard footsteps running to the bathroom. Aaliyah must be up with a hangover. I shook my head and threw the bottles away.
I guess Aaliyah heard the bottles claning together because she slowly came out of the bathroom, she looked a little surprised to see me.
"C-cameron...when did you get here?"
"Last night................when you were drunk." I replied.
"No that can't be last night, I was-"
"Drunk. Had a bottle in your hand and you were asking me to hold you." I interrupted her.
She stood there looking at me quietly. Aaliyah looked like she was a five year kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Yeah her ass was definitely caught.
"So you just going to stand there and not say shit. Aaliyah what is wrong with you. First you drunk, I look in your closet and see all this liqour and shit!"
"Cameron please stop yelling."
"No fuck that. Why were you drinking!?!"
"Please Cameron. I'm sorry. Ok. This is how I deal with the pain!"
"Pain!?! PAIN! Aaliyah I'm beatin everyday! I have constant bruises on my damn body! My face looks like I get into fights with a professional boxer! Don't talk to me about pain Aaliyah!"
"There isn't one type of pain Cameron! Yes you get physically abused but my shit is emotional! I'm called ugly, fat, everyone who talks to me has nothing but negativity to say to me! So i deal with it by drinking. "
As she talked I remained quiet. I mean what was I suppose to say? Not just that I didn't know she was going through all this.
Aaliyah had scars like I do but her aren't physical. I looked up to see she was just looking at me with tears streaming down her face.
My arms just found there way around her. She was there for me so I'm going to be there for her to get her through this.
Aaliyah wrapped her arms around my torso as she cried into my chest. These tears had been tears I cried myself just a few nights ago.
"Listen this ain't the way. I threw those bottles away. You don't need that."
"I pour all that shit out and threw it away."
"Aaliyah thats not good for you. You can fuck shit up for yourself!"
"Cameron you of all people know what it feels like to be hurt. You should understand!"
"And I do but this ain't the way! I'm not going to let you do this to yourself! Just talk to me!"
"No I'm here just talk to me! What happened?"
"Cameron give me my bottles!"
"My....my sister she let some nigga touch me." She cried.
"I don't know I woke up to some nigga touching on me. She told him to stop and then he left I couldn't see who it was. Cameron please just a sip."
"Baby you better than this. So much better. I can't see you like this. Stop. Please." I begged her with my voice cracking.
"Don't make me choose Cameron. Please. Don't."
"I'm not I'm deciding for you." I felt tears stinging the corner of my eyes. I couldn't see her like this.
My heart broke because I should have seen the signs earlier. I'm not going to leave her we going to get through this together.
She stuck my me and I'm going to stick by her. I picked her up bridal style and took her in her room. Aaliyah needed her rest.
"I'm going to take care of you. I promise."
I sat on Aaliyah's bed holding her close to me rocking her. On the outside I was confronting Liyah but on the inside my blood was fucking boiling.
What kind of sister would let a random nigga touch? Better yet what kind of nigga would touch a girl while she was sleeping.
I should find out who the fuck that nigga is. Maybe it's a good thing we have each other I can help her and she can do the same for me.
My phone buzzed on the table telling me I had a message. I placed Liyah on her bed and grabbed my phone.
Ty: Meet me at my house. Training time.
I chewed my lip putting my phone down. I didn't want to leave Aaliyah but then again I have to get this money. Maybe I can take Aaliyah with me once I have enough.
She has to know I am doing this for her and me. I'm going to find that nigga who touched her and kill his ass then take Aaliyah far from here.
"Hm?" She said with her eyes closed.
"I have to go. I'll be right back to come get you ok? Lock your door baby so no one can come in. I'll call you." I said kissing her head and getting my stuff.
"It's...it's a surprise. Just trust me."
"Come back ok. Come right back."
"I will.Lock your door." I stated one last time before walking out.
As I walked out I couldn't help but clench my jaw and fist some nigga was touching my girl. MY GIRL!
I got something to say to her sister and whoever that nigga is that touched her. She better watch out. I'm coming for her ass. Sister my ass.
