Okay, I know most artists leave stuff for everyone's own interpretation, but I think maybe this could help people with their own art.

I will be showing the elements and symbolisms of the art in my current askblog, @ask-agent-nein [part 1]

I want you to not see the post further if you want to keep your own vision completely free of any influence (specially mine!), and if you go further I encourage you to look further into details and make up your own interpretations :)

I've set up Sasha to be from postwar Germany. While he talks about one of his interests, which is related to Anthropology, he mentions how extra-everyday techniques on performance do not respect the usual conditions for the use of the body; the image is related to this, it's him holding his emotional baggage as it is his "not respect of the usual conditions" that he had to go through, while he looks at a Butoh dancer. Butoh is a form of Japanese dance theater, which arose on in 1959 (following world war 2). This dance is all about extra-everyday techniques and talks about the horrors of war and other taboo themes, it consists of slow hyper-controlled motion.

Sasha answered one of the questions the day that both his mothers death and his university graduation happened. The day is marked on the calendar; in the answer from the next day we can see how the piece of calendar is ripped off.

We can also see how he says Raz instead of his usual Razputin, and there's another detail:

The repetition refers to how his fathers grief didn't allow closeness, didn't allow them to share a moment so special like Sashas graduation. I will talk about their distance some posts later on the askblog.

As for the Otto panels, they are green merely because green is the most visible of colors for the human eye. It's about Sasha seeing past his insecurities and seeing the possibilities that lay right in front of him.

The font changes are a way to distinguish his logical speech versus his emotional one. The logical is weaker on color for he is leaving it behind.

Sasha, inside his mind cube, can pop up on random places which lead to a orange void.

Orange in color psychology is related to youth, among other things.

I used that color in general to give him a connection with his young-self. I think his orange void is everything he experiences inside his own world and the cube is just a shield and a facade of his own needs and place of comfort. I will talk about this at some point the more things I answer on the blog.

There's also a connection on how he projects onto Razputin, I used the color that connects the two for some of his dialogues.

Some other stuff regarding dialogue: Sasha still trying to mask his heartfelt dialogue.

And then, younger Sasha telling him something we cannot read. It's him as a kid reassuring him on something he doesn't want to listen, something he can't really internalize, ignoring himself for the moment being.

That's all as for now. I hope it helps someone with making connections with their own art, to give you tools for going further with meaning, even when some people won't get those details.

OKAY, SO, I WILL BE GIVING -MY- STEP BY STEP COMPREHENSION ABOUT -MY- WAY TO DRAW SASHA bc a lot of people I've got to know tell me that they want my secrets which is the biggest honor I can get and also I don't like to gatekeep anything like this I actually enjoy it!

[First, you must know that I'm normal and also I'm heavily biased at how Ottiliere draws him even if I can't really get to that point of perfection which is heartbreaking to me but well whatevs]

[2]: The pointy stuff should be placed above the shades, and the bald[?] spot should go near the middle or end of the shades.

[3]: His shades make wonky expressions,,, look at how they change shape,,, simply beautiful. also his sunken eyes sockets help a lot but I don't usually draw them bc I fear success.

ADITIONAL NOTES:

SHOW HIS TEETH PLS, AND GIVE HIM HIS POINTY EARS, AND DRAW HIM WITH 4 FINGERS,,, MAKE HIM WEIRD PLSSSSS.
