It surprises me how balanced MeraSai is on Mera's side when you really think about it, like Mera is the right amount of normal to be conforming to saiki but is also the perfect amount of unhinged to endure with the usual shenanigans saiki's life is used to have
Like yeah she's an overworked glutton that does not mind being an experimental medicine tester or eating wild fungus just to survive, but at the end of the day that's all because of her economic situation, a thing that she can't really seem change even with all her jobs, and her reactions to it are sadly normal, once you tone down the exaggeration needed for comedy of course,
she's just another girl wanting to go to the school's trip to try new food and hang out with her classmates without having to worry of how is she going to pay for it, and her interactions with kusuo are overall pleasant, she's a bit clumsy but very determined, and she surely enjoys kusuo's company everytime he goes to Cafe mami
