"Are you having fun?" Henley had thrown a belated New Year's party down by the river, wanting to be distracted by being around other people.
mason--peterson:
Mason gave a small nod and looked around. “Yeah, that would probably be a good idea.’ He moved to stand up, stretching a bit.
“Got anywhere in mind?”
mason--peterson:
He gave a small nod, taking the flask back and taking a sip himself. “Thanks for keeping me company for a bit.”
“Of course.” Henley smiled lightly, shrugging. It was honestly nice not to be alone anyway. “Bit cold though, we might wanna find somewhere warmer to hang.”
mason--peterson:
“Oh…” Mason gave a small nod and almost frowned a bit. “I am sorry… I can’t even imagine what that feels like…” Ruby had some close calls, but she always came out on the other side.
Henley shrugged. “Yeah..” She had another drink and then handed the flask back to him. “Thanks.”
kyle--flynn:
“Thank you.” He shook his head a little bit. “No I’m not.”
“Everything alright?”
mason--peterson:
Mason grinned and shrugged. “That would be a pretty nice surprise.” He chuckled a bit, leaning back to watch her take a swig. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“Oh, yeah?” Henley chuckled, looking at him with a teasing shake of her head as she thought about it. “Eh.” She gave a shrug, handing the flask back again. “Just... I went back to work today. Y’know after my sister...” She paused, thinking about Angel and shrugged again. “It was pretty shitty, that’s all.” Henley felt like she needed more time but she couldn’t put it off forever.
eleanor-pope:
“Okay, that shouldn’t be a problem. I have to get caught on things anyways.” Eleanor frowned a little bit, sitting down across from her.
Henley sighed, shrugging. “Great.” She went quiet, picking at her nails before she looked around. God, this was gonna be a long day. She turned back and accidentally knocked her coffee cup over, spilling it across the table. “Shit! Fuck sake.” She muttered, grabbing napkins. “Eh. Sorry.”
mason--peterson:
He laughed and nodded. “Probably true. Just remember the offer will always stand.” He grinned, taking a quick swig from the flask before holding it out to her.
Henley laughed a little more and gave him a look. “Careful. You might find me on your doorstep one day threatening to take you up on that.” She took the flask with a smile, having a swig from it. “God. After the day I’ve had, this is needed.”
joanweston:
“Don’t worry. I had a long day at work. And I really don’t feel like talking either.” She offered a small smile before ordering herself something to drink.
“Perfect, works for me.” Henley sighed heavily, moving to pick up her own drink.

→ Background
Henley grew up in Essex with her sisters, one younger called Elisa and one older called Fallon. Being the middle child had its perks but it also had many downsides. But she was content. Her life was pretty good, normal, her parents were cool as far as parents went and she got on well enough with her sisters. There was just the normal fights and scraps that went on between siblings. It was common to hear screechings of ‘did you steal my top?’ or ‘dad, Elisa won’t get out of my room!’ echoing through the house. The family was a normal one and the girls grew up that way too. Henley had a lot of friends and was quite popular around her school. She’d always been the wilder one of her siblings, with a lack of direction in her life, but she was never out of control. At least, not until the family uprooted and moved to a small town called Baberton.
The real reason her family moved to Baberton was due to her little sister, Elisa. Who, from then on, was called Angel. Her sister witnessed a crime and was the only one who saw the guy’s face, this guy then became a huge threat to Angel’s life. She was placed in witness protection, along with their whole family unit, and were given the surname Frazier to replace their real one; Dalton. Elisa was given a whole new first name too due to her trauma, to make her feel much safer. It was hard at first, such a change, and Henley has always sort of resented it and it made her act out at the time.
→ Back to Baberton
Henley really didn’t take to Baberton at all. She hated this place with a passion and wanted nothing more than to go back home to Harlow. She missed her friends and her room and she took most of her frustrations out on her younger sister. Having to do the last couple years of school as the new girl was a nightmare for her. She was unable to catch up or keep up with school work in most classes and Henley found it hard making friends. She felt so cut off and alone. Her older sister seemed fine with everything and she was quite jealous about it. This was when she started smoking, drinking, and got her nose pierced just to piss off her parents. She knew all this was nobody’s fault really but Henley needed somewhere to vent her anger.
It was a relief when school was over and done with, graduating by the skin of her teeth but getting pretty poor grades all around. She didn’t really care though, school had been a nightmare for her, the other kids could be cruel to the new girl. Once she settled into her life more, and calmed down on her rebellions, things started to feel better. More settled, at least. She got a job in the local music store a couple years ago and has enjoyed working there ever since. She likes the atmosphere and music has always been a bit outlet and relaxant for Henley. She’d like to teach the guitar one day but isn’t sure how to set up that sort of thing so for now she sells CDs, records, and gives customers advice on the best new bands. She’s made her apartment all pretty and finally has a space she feels is her own and she feels comfortable in, and she also gets on better with her sisters… mostly. She still has her bad moods and a lot of downs but Henley’s not a bad person, just a bit… hard to handle.
The recent murder of her sister Angel has completely devastated her. After all the heartache her sister survived, only to go out this way? It was horrible and she isn’t sure how to handle her grief at all.
→ What’s Her Secret?
Shoplifted a couple of times in high school but one of these times, just as she was about to get caught by security, she planted the items on her friend. The friend got into a lot of trouble and has a record and though she feels guilty, she’s just relieved it wasn’t her.
Stole a few blank prescription pages when she visited her sister Fallon at the hospital where she works. She doesn’t have much of a plan for them other than she just saw the opportunity. She decided that maybe she can sell them to some desperate people for enough money. One of the people she’s already sold to is Niamh Wakefield.
In the wake of Angel’s murder, Henley has withdrawn and become depressed. She has also started self harming by burning and by scratching, which she’s obviously keen for no one to know.
davis-ramsey:
“Yeah, okay. That’s fine.” Clearly there was something wrong but he didn’t want to push it. Davis moved to sit down across from her, taking a sip of his drink.
“Sorry.” She said after a beat, shrugging, not sure if she really was but maybe she’d been a bit rude or whatever.
terixclarkman:
“Sure no problem at all. You seem like you have things on your mind.” She told her before making the latte, “ Trust me. I know that look. I’ve been having it myself lately. Whatever is the problem, I hope it works out.”
“Yeah... I guess I do.” She sighed, shrugging and glancing down at her hands for a moment. “Thanks. I don’t think it will... unless you believe in ghosts... but I appreciate that.”
mason--peterson:
He laughed. “Oh, yeah, of course! Flask or slushy? Licking me might be weird…”
Henley laughed. “Not that I’d be totally opposed but, yeah, probably a bit weird. In public, at least.” She teased, winking at him as she reached out. “Flask, please!”
“You can only sit there if you’re not going to talk.” Henley mumbled before they could even sit down. “I’m really not in the mood to humour you.”

“Save us all the trouble and don’t even ask what I’m covered in…” He chuckled a bit, throwing back a sip from the flask in his hand. He had fallen… well sort of jumped off the deep end. One could blame the -A message, but it wasn’t. He was teetering on the edge before that.
“Alright then, I’ll ask if you plan on sharing instead?” Henley laughed, moving to drop down to a sitting position next to him.
