I like to think he records looking like a total bum
also can I just mention how much I love his lips? and eyes?? oh my god his EYES–
Sometimes I’ll get asks that are like “I see so much Hank Green hate on my dash and I just wanted to say that I think you’re great.” And I’m like, “Oh, good but…now I am aware of this sea of hidden haters that I didn’t previously realize existed.” And then I go and try and find it but Tumblr is so weird and impenetrable that I can’t. But, like, that’s probably for the best.
So, this post is a shoutout to all the people who hate post about me but don’t tag me…thanks for not hating me right up in my face. That’s nice of you.

Next-gen Tor to use distributed RNG, 55-character addresses
http://cyberparse.co.uk/2016/05/25/next-gen-tor-to-use-distributed-rng-55-character-addresses/ http://cyberparse.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/cyberparse-logo-1920-1080-1024x576.png
Numbers so random no one can predict how random they’ll be The Tor project has cooked up a new way to generate random numbers to help secure its next-generation onion router. Random numbers are essential for secure communications, because they’re used to generate encryption keys. If the numbers used to do so are even a little bit predictably random, it’s possible to deduce the range of keys they’ll produce and then crack crypto.
The need for good random numbers is old news for the Tor project, which is why it’s devised a way to have “multiple computers collaborate and generate a single random number in a way that nobody could have predicted in advance (not even themselves).” Tor thinks this is the first such distributed RNG to run over the Internet. This scheme was tested last week on an 11-node Tor network that the project says ran for a week and “allowed us to test scenarios that could make the protocol burp and fail in unpredictable ways.” “For example, we instructed our testing Tor nodes to abort at crucial protocol moments, and come back in the worst time possible ways, just to stress test the system. We had our nodes run ancient Tor versions, perform random chaotic behaviors, disappear and never come back, etc.” Things went sufficiently well that that the project’s people have “confirmed that our system can survive network failures that can happen on the real Internet.” The randomness protocol isn’t finished, because the project’s contributors thinks it can be improved. But the system is expected to make it into the next version of Tor, along with 55-character-long addresses (up from 16). The full spec for next-generation Tor is detailed in Proposal 224. ® Sponsored: Rise of the machines

Modular Mobiles
It’s been a few day since Project ARA’s promo video has been out, on my personal Facebook I can see it blowing up as not only my non-tech-savvy friends are sharing it even 9GAG is sharing it. Personally I’m really excited for this to come out. But, today I’ve bumped into a post on Android Authority and I have a few things to express..
http://www.androidauthority.com/parts-modular-mobiles-really-next-big-thing-692437/
It discuss about the current market movement including LG and Motorolla’s rumor. And the editor said that there is concern about the modular device itself loses its meaning when we have to change device so fast due to the speed of the growing processing power of our phone. I have 2 things to push here.
1. Processing power don’t make much difference
On Nexus devices running stock Android or homebrew custom ROM I only encounter a small amount of lag on my 3 years old Nexus 5. Lag would be a problem that don’t even exists in new gen devices. I highly doubt the need to change a frame with old processor so often as we changed our phones every 2 years till now.
2. It’s a modular device
As you can read, it’s modular device which means that you can simply take out all your old parts from the old frame and pop it into the new frame. Credit to the person that made me realize this point in the comment section of the article mentioned above.
But there’s a new problem I can see occurring at the same time though. As the article says it has been rumored that Moto is releasing its own modular smartphone in the near future and LG had already dived into the modular game. I can see this creating something like the Chinese people phenomenon. If the parts are not interchangeable between companies, it could cause confusion and it would confuse user more than the current fragmentation problem.
Onedrive what the fuck
Thoughts on YouTube Red.
Since YouTube recently announced their new payed service “YouTube Red”. Everyone has been up to arms about it, for mainly good reasons!
YouTube doesn’t exactly have the greatest reputation when it comes to new updates.
YouTube Red’s main selling points being: You can watch YouTube without ads, watch original shows, download videos, access to music library, etc. All for $10 a month. (Source)
It’s worth noting right away that my show “Scary PewDiePie” will be available via YouTube Red. (Link)
So how come YouTube, an ad revenue website decided to switch to include payed services? This might seem insane, especially since YouTube comes from the ad giant Google.
Well, despite YouTube being a huge website, YouTube still isn’t profiting. Daily Mail posted earlier this year:
If you read through all those bullet points, the answer behind YouTube Red’s existence becomes a lot more clear.
Either way, it still seems that most people aren’t sold about YouTube Red yet:
Why? Well the answer is simple, people’s main argument being: “Why would I pay $10 a month for a service that I can get for free with Adblock”?
So out of curiosity, I asked via Twitter how many people actually use adblock:
I can also confirm with my own Google statistics that, that 40% is a correct estimate.
It’s a number that has grown a lot over the years, from roughly 15-20% when I started. And it’s not unlikely that it will keep growing.
What this means is that YouTubers lose about 40% of their ad income.
Personally, I’m ok with if you use adblock on my videos. Ads are annoying, I get it, I’m not here to complain about that.
But for smaller channels, this number can be devastating.
Despite this, it seems that many people’s general attitude towards Adblock is very open loose:
I think what many people still don’t realize is that:
# YouTube Red exist largely as an effort to counter Adblock.
# Using Adblock doesn’t mean you’re clever and above the system.
# YouTube Red exist because using Adblock has actual consequences.
Now, there are questions remained to be answered about YouTube Red. Like: How much of YouTube Red’s $10 actually goes to it’s creators? How come YouTubers don’t get payed for Novembers free trial period? This was changed recently, (Source). Will YouTube Red actually be beneficial for smaller channels? Is the $10 price actually justified?
These are all important questions about YouTube Red. But right now, it’s more important that we understand what the actual problem here is.
Finally some individuals that know the consequences of using AdBlock
Why StopYouTubeRED?
I can't cope with the stupidity of the internet at this point already. YouTube RED is launching on the 28th in the US and people are still freaking out about it.
There are 3 kinds of people on YouTube, those who use AdBlock everywhere, those who use whitelist their favorite YouTubers, and those who just don't use AdBlock. Kudos for the latter 2.
By subscribing to YouTube RED, you can watch exclusive content, enjoy offline viewing, background playing, ads free and Google Play Music All Access. Dude, isn't this cool for 30 ringgit per month? You get sooooo much out of 30 ringgit. I would care less about the subscription fee as I'm already opt in for the All Access so I'm just getting freebies.
What's the drama here you ask? People are freaking out for all sorts of misunderstanding and some for pure stupidity. Some are afraid that we cannot watch YouTube for free anymore which is incorrect, we can still watch YouTube for free with Ads, only the exclusive contents (Which I don't really give a shit about) are kept for the premium users.
Then there are those kind of stupid people on the internet saying "Dude, da u noe bout smth called adblockz?? Do u even interwebz??". These people are the stupidest of the stupidest, I would consider them scum if you don't mind. By using AdBlock the free content creator would get less money as less ads are being pushed to the public.
I understand there are some issues happening with KPOP and YouTube as the companies are redundant on opting into YouTube Red and it certainly can be done much smoothly without those drama. But on the other hand, I also don't understand why only Google and YouTube are the one to blame in this case either, clearly if the KPOP company clicked I Agree, it wouldn't hurt anyone isn't it?
Microsoft is gave out these stickers at their NYC press event this morning.
So comic sans. Much doge.
The Deep/Dark Web
Today, I’d like to talk about deep/dark web.
source: Taringa.net
The above explains the surface web and the dark/deep web. I’ve only found this out yesterday and am very interested in this as I didn't know that there are such dark contents going on down the very deep place in the internet.
A user that wishes to go on to the sites would have to use a special browser and that is the TORBrowser to masks own identity, a proxy/VPN on a virtual machine would help also.
DISCLAIMER: It is your choice to browse the deep web and I’m not responsible if FBI turns up in your doorstep when you failed to keep yourself safe when browsing the deep/dark web.
It turns out that the deep web is a place where corporate keeps their user information or confidential files out of reach from the normal user as it is unlikely for users to find out using the normal browser such as mozilla or chrome.
Then there’s this thing the dark web which houses a lot of illegal activities mostly child pornography, illegal gunfire trading, drug dealers trying to do business and all sort of cult activities going down there.
I’m not trying to get involved in the mess but it’s always interesting to think that all this time I myself think Im the tech savvy dude in the family/class only browse the surface web and didn't know what’s going down there and normal users can actually reach there by their own will. It’s like going into a haunted house or some shit but it’s more dangerous as you can get caught by the traps set by the officials or get virus from downloading contents from it.
All and all, it’s fun to discuss about this shit, but don't try it yourself if you’re not experienced. I didn't try it as I know that with my knowledge in computing which isn’t very much isnt able to handle this serious shit. Therefore if you must see those kind of content you can always go to YouTube to find the deep web exploration videos to calm your curiosity. Hope I taught you something today and stay safe on the net.
