Idgaf what he does during the off season and like you said, this is very tame lol. It's not even like he's Joe Burrow who seemingly shows up to the opening of an envelope over the past few off seasons

Offseason is the off season for a reason so players can do what they want as long as it's legal as far as I'm concerned (even Burrow who idgaf about).

I'm sorry maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I don't think anyone thinks he's not working? I mean, he clearly is. (Even then OSP are entirely optional so he's not beholden to attend them either really, but the optics would be pretty iffy).

But, yes, people (myself included) have made the point that rival fans and the media will clown him if the Chargers have a bad season and will absolutely use this as ammo. It's also fair to say that this may be awkward for both of them if they end up splitting in the future.

However, as I said, he's a grown man who can make his own decisions and I'm sure can factor these possibilities into his decision-making and/or simply doesn't care. At the end of the day, it's not a big deal imho.

I just want to reiterate that I don't "care" either, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't think that this had the potential to shoot him in the foot. Like I said tho, he seems to be very much in love, and ultimately it's his choice to make. I'm certainly not going to be stressing about this, especially if he isn't 😅

Plus - and I can't believe I'm saying this and setting the bar so low - but if this is his biggest offseason fuck-up, I'll take it. For an NFL player he's pretty fucking squeaky clean by comparison so if he spends his offseason playing golf and macking on his gf in her mvs then that's fine by me too!
