âOf course. Iâm not your master, no need for it anyway.â
He contemplated pushing their difference, but he decided against it. The Knights of Ren were fiercely loyal. There was no need for conflict.Â
âWere you briefed on the nature of this mission?â
Nyx took off her helmet and her black hair fell out of the knot that it was tied into. Her pale blue grey eyes scanned the room around the two of them before she answered âFrom what I was told, we are going to meet the king and queen of this planet, however, that is all that I was told.â She informed.
âAh, well, weâre trying to negotiate an alliance. With so many planets secretly supporting the Resistance, we need all the allies we can get. The queen will like you, sheâs always had a soft spot for women in positions like yourself.â
Folded his hands and began tapping his thumbs against each other. This was going to be a rather long flight. They had specifically requested no light speed, which stuck Hux as odd. He would be on guard the until they returned.
âBut be on guard. Sometimes they mask their true intentions in how strange their customs are.â
Nodding, Nyx looked at the floor silently, not knowing what to say. Once they were near the planet she spotted a few X-Wing fighters and frowned. âI-I donât think they fly X-WingsâŚ..do they?â She asked slightly confused before letting out a squeak when they fired at the ship.
âCommander! Report!â
The Resistance. They lured them. How? After so much extensive research⌠That didnât change their current situation. Hux looked at the young Ren and made a decision.
âCome with me. Weâre not equipped to withstand this. We have a pod. Weâre leaving.â
Nyx nodded âOf course General.â She said standing up and grabbing her helmet from the table in front of them before heading to the pod on the ship. Once they departed she glanced at the window in front of them worriedly when the pod shook from the bolts that it took. Once they entered the atmosphere of a nearby planet, she could feel something was wrong as the pod began to lose control and head for a tree. âGeneral!â She said as she wrapped her arms around him, creating a force barrier around the two of them.
Once they crashed, Nyx let go of Hux and used the force to push the rubble from the ship away from them. Scrambling over to him worriedly she asked him âAre you alright General?â
She saved his life.
She saved his life.
From what? Poorly executed plans, trickery? Treason? The Resistance should not have been there, yet they were. She should not have saved his life, yet she did. Curious.
âQuiteâ, he replied, still dazed from the impact. âYou?â
His eyes scanned over himself and then over her to check for injuries. How had she saved him? The Force? The irony of it almost made him smile.
âOhâŚ.uhâŚ.Iâm fineâŚâŚI apologize for touching you without your consentâŚ.â Nyx said glancing around as she stood up âIt appears we are stuck on Prosie 445W, the habitable yet uninhabited planetâŚ.â She informed Hux as she helped him onto his feet. Looking at the ground near them she chuckled nervously.
âYou has reason, no harm done.â He brushed his uniform off and surveyed the area. They were completely alone.
Damn. Nothing but his blaster survived the crash. They flew out before the girl saved him. If they were to make it back, someone must be informed. He looked at her again.
âCan you make contact with Ren? I know itâs a long distance but can you try?â
âI-I can tryâŚ..but creating that barrier took a lot out of meâŚ.â she said before sitting down and closing her eyes, attempting to contact her teacher. Beads of sweat fell down her face and her hands shook as she concentrated.Â
Opening her eyes and letting out a sigh, she looked up at Hux and shook her head âI apologize General, it seems that I am too weak at the moment.â Nyx said as she struggled to stand up.
âSit, rest. We have all the time in the worldâ, he reassured.
Which was incorrect. They had no resources with them, the most they could last was maybe a week. He sat beside her before continuing.
âHow did you join the Knights of Renâ, he asked, trying to distract her from their possible fate.
Nyx smiled softly âMaster Ren found me on the casino planet Nosmara a few years back when the First Order raided the planet to find rebels. I was alone, I was scaredâŚâŚmy parents sold me when they heard how rare force sensitive children wereâŚ.howâŚâŚvaluable they are,â she looked at the ground as she spoke. âThen Master Ren found me the night I ran away. He offered to teach me how to use my powersâŚ..â She said quietly before looking at Hux.Â
âHe showed me a kindness that no one had ever shown me before.â Nyx said, messing with the sleeve of her tunic as she spoke.
Kind was not the word he would have used to describe Ren, but he was different with his students. He supposed it fit. And her parents⌠His werenât much better were they?
âHow long have you been training under him?â
Nyx thought for a moment âThree and a half years nowâŚ.how long have you known him? If I may ask that isâŚ.âShe asked as she looked at Hux.
âIâve lost count of the yearsâ, he admitted, looking down at her. âHeâs quite the...â
He didnât bother finishing. Everyone on the ship know what they thought of each other. Despise wasnât strong enough a word.

After the battle there was a bright light all the resistance soldiers were normal except one. Poe Dameron Ace pilot of the resistance was reduced to nothing more than a seven year old little boy. He couldnât remember anyone or how he got there not even his family he hid behind a building behind a few crates crying scared until, he heard the sound of soldiers.
` you heard the general scan the area for any remaining resistance scumâ
âWhatâs a child doing here?â He asked the nearest soldier, but no one had an answer. âNo living parents?â
âNot likely, sir.â
He couldnât leave it, they could always use more troops. But he didnât want that. Something about the child called to him, as strange as it sounded.
âBring him on board.â
With that he turned and boarded, questioning what heâd just done.
He tried to run away but couldnt the white armored soldier who dragged him was far stronger â ow â he said â you are hurting me let me go!â He said trying to get away but the soldier hit him sending him to the floor â quiet youâ he said harshly at that he started to cry the soldier in turn kicked him in the back â theres no crying in the stormtrooper corp runt â he barked about to hit him again
âI assumed you were intelligent enough to know not to hurt the childâ, Hux bellowed, thoroughly disgusted with the behavior. âBut I stand corrected. Let him go.â
Hux was once again surprising himself, but he knelt down to the childâs level.
âCome with me. Weâll get you something to eat.â
He sniffed looking up at him rubbing his eyes he followed him willingly â who are you?â He asked him
âGeneral Huxâ, he said, before sitting and offering the child a seat beside him.
âArmitage if youâd prefer, but not in public.â
He waved over a droid and looked at him again.
âWhat would you like?â
He climbed up the seat and sat down â Iâm â he paused frowning he couldnât remember his name â I canât remember my name â her paused thinking about the man,General Hux question â I donât know â he said
Hux didnât know either. What did children like?
âBring him a small array of things to choose fromâ, he ordered the droid before pressing on.
âDo you remember your parents? Or anything doe that matter?â
He shook his head sniffing â no I donât General Hux sir â he said lowering his head â I canât remember anything â he finished
Once the droid returned, he gave the small plate of food to the child.
âNot to worry. Eat up. Weâll arrive shortly.â
He smiled â thank you sir â he said to him eating since he was a young boy he ate a lot after all he was a growing boy
Once the they had arrived Hux had insisted the boy have chambers next to his. After he showed him his room, he went to leave to retiree to his.

herecxmesthegeneral:
He shouldnât have left his post, but his shift was almost up, and his replacement was already on deck. So he left him in command and followed Ren. Just as he neared his quarters he heard his saber meet the nearest wall. Sparks flew and he saw red shards of light through the damage.
The man was a child. Anger bubbled inside his chest, but he pushed it down. That could wait; he had more pressing issues at hand. He had to secure his position here.
âSupreme Leaderâ, he called, oozing concern and respect. Everything he didnât feel.
Perhaps it was suicide, but wasnât that better than being kept under this child? Hux was either going to move up or remain stagnant, and he didnât know if he could take the latter.
Kylo went pale and a chill ran through him when he heard Huxâs voice. Hux was the very last person he wanted to see, at least until this⌠madness ran its course and he could look at the general with clarity again.
He didnât summon his saber to him, but he was acutely aware of where it was lying on the ground. He didnât trust Hux farther than he could force-throw him.
âWhat do you want?â he demanded in a rough, unsteady voice. He didnât like the way the general said his title. It reminded him of a serpent.Â
âThese are my private quarters. You have no reason to be here,â he continued, again attempting to reestablish his authority over the general.
âI know we have been at each otherâs throatsâ, he began, walking closer to him with caution. âBut I am not a monster. If you need anything I can be of assistance.â
He really didnât know what else to say. He didnât know what was truly wrong with Ren, but he honeyed his words in an attempt to get closer still.
âIf there is a way to prove my intentions then Iâll do it.â
Come on! Eat SOMETHING!
âI do what I want.â
Krif you
He raised an eyebrow at the intruder. âWatch it or youâll be sent to reconditioning. I wonât have that kind of disrespect.â
