a lightning and thunder that beg the question , who angered zeus ? there were no warnings , no signs to caution or urge towards safety . there was nothing but the rain that fell , soft at first — gods weeping , perhaps — and then all at once . a storm that threatened the safety and lives of all who left sacred heart , that locked all inside its doors . the cathedral offered safety , a sort of rapture , with its abundance of candles and unused space . all urged to stay until the storm passes , though something is tar - thick in the air . for reasons you can’t explain , anxiety makes a home in the pit of your stomach and you find yourself looking over your shoulder more often than not . something else is present , something else is watching you . who did you see sink into the dark corners of the cathedral , never to emerge ?

hewwo n welcome to hereticshq’s first event ! there has been a storm that has emerged on sacred heart , seemingly out of nowhere , that has locked all inside its doors and everyone has been gathered to meet in the cathedral , urged to stay until the storm passes . everyone is unnerved and while they may convince themself it’s the terror of the storm , there’s still a fear that lingers : unfounded and maybe primal . people are seeing things - shapeless and existing only in the peripheral of their vision and disappearing when acknowledged .. but something says it’s still present . as the storm raps the windows and whistles a strange tune , madness beckons all of sacred heart towards a final , fatal act .

attendance for this event isn’t mandatory : maybe your muses skipped class the day of the storm and traveled off campus or something ! if this is the case , then we just ask that those muses be kept off the dash for the duration of the event . while all are gathered to wait out the storm in the cathedral , it’s up to you if your muses chose to stay . your muses could have left the cathedral and snuck out , are cooped out in another room on campus , etc . just realize the risk they’d be running ! we also ask that nonevent threads be paused .
the event will last a week and a half , beginning on march 4 and ending on march 15 . when making any open event starters , please refrain from using the regular starter tag and instead use heretics:eventone .
no spoilers of course but a plot drop is to be posted following the conclusion of and coinciding with events during the storm .
