As amazed as he was by this new place, the thought of being separated by the one person he had truly opened up to wasn’t a pleasant one. He even felt angry at the thought of them being ripped apart. There was something about Brandon’s relationship with Moon that made him feel like they were just beginning, that there was so much more for them to speak of and explore with each other. But she wasn’t gone, they hadn’t been torn apart and in that moment he just had to hold her a little tighter to remind himself of that. “This is a much larger place, I feared it would be more difficult to find you.” The mere idea of that made him frown, his hand raising to lightly brush his knuckles across her cheek. “I’m fine, only worried something had happened to you.” He chuckled at how ridiculous he thought he sounded, but there was a real fear now rooted within him or losing anyone else he cared for. “I don’t think I’ll be letting you out of my sight again. Come, I’ll show you my room so you know where I’ll be keeping you.” His tone was deadly serious, but there was a look of humour playing his features as he moved his hand to take hold of her own. As much as he had been filled with fear and dread he was still the same old Brandon, mischievous as ever, as he gently tugged her hand and made his way towards the door back inside.
she could feel her heart racing once again, beating wildly, as it only did in his presence. her SAFETY, her WARMTH, her BRANDON. she had him back and she would never let him go again, she just couldn’t. brandon had come to mean SO much to her that the thought of losing him again, well it devastated her, so she would lean into his touch and remind herself that he was here now and she had nothing to worry about ever again. at his words, the empress smiled brightly and gave a nod. “nor shall i, i refuse to ever lose you again.” she admitted in a soft tone, brows raising a bit afterwards. she knew that jokes were a thing here, but she wasn’t completely sure of how they worked, so moon immediately took brandon’s words as a genuine statement. “is your room big enough for the both of us? i don’t have many possessions, but i suppose i would need enough space for my clothes, at least.” she reasoned as she gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “i would also like to get a ‘pet’ one day, may we get one?” moon asked as she followed him inside. it was strange (yet wonderful), how easily they both slipped back into the place they had been before -- there was no awkwardness, no hesitation, just pure need and happiness in once again being near one another.
