THE TUDORS TOP 7 SADDEST SCENES | AS VOTED BY MY FOLLOWERS.
#1: Anne Boleyn’s execution (season 2, episode 10).
“Good Christian people, I have come here to die, according to the law, and thus yield myself to the will of the King, my lord. And if, in my life, I ever did offend the King’s Grace, then surely with my death I do now atone. I pray and beseech you all, to pray for the life of the King. My sovereign lord and yours, who is one of the best princes on the face of the earth, who has always treated me so well. Wherefore I submit to death with a good will, humbly asking pardon of all the world. If anyone should take up my case, I ask them only to judge it kindly. Thus I take my leave of the world - and of you. And I heartily desire you all to pray for me.”
“One by one, just before the Queen was blindfolded, she saw two thousand people sink to their knees, impressed by her courage, moved by her plight or deeply respectful of the high and mighty title she still held – most likely a mixture of all three.”

1. Name someone you’ve hurt. Do you regret what you’ve done?
“Possibly more people than I care for, but what use is regret? It’s something I choose to live my life without.”
6.Have you ever felt so guilty you wanted to punish yourself? Why did you feel guilty?
“I did once, I believed it was my fault that I lost the children I did but I only felt guilty because I was made to believe it that it was all my fault. But no more.”
13. Name a time you failed something and disappointed many people and/or embarrassed yourself.
“The day I was no longer Queen, my family as well as many people relief on me retaining my position. No doubt they were disappointed.”

5. Name someone you want to be friends with even though you know it wouldn’t work out.
“Kol ( @cursedmikaelson ) seems rather intriguing, but to befriend someone would be to trust them. I find very little reason to place my trust in the hands of men.”
7. Talk about one of your worst memories involving someone you love.
“It may not be the worst but it is the most recent, the last time I spoke with Henry I held our daughter in my arms and that wasn’t enough to bring him to calm his words That was the day he turned his back on both of us, both physically and figuratively.”
9. Talk about a time you made an enemy.
“Undoubtedly Queen Catherine hated me the most. There was a moment she spoke out to me about my relationship with Henry, she believed I was one of his whores but she could not have been more wrong. Catherine merely hated that I could give him everything she could not, especially when he didn’t want her to give him anything of the sort, her greatest loss was my greatest gain.”
18. Talk about a traumatizing memory.
“The day of George’s execution was by far the worst. I had come to terms that I would pay the price for not giving Henry the son he desired, despite my innocence I was at peace, but seeing my brother beheaded for nothing was by far the most painful thing. He died because of me, because the king was unhappy that I couldn’t sit by idly while he pleased only himself. George’s death is something I will never forget and nor will I forgive myself for.”

Everybody wants to rule the world by LORDE
Edited by anantidotes
Anne Boleyn cried the day of her third miscarriage but not on the day of her execution. Instead, she stayed up talking to God until the early hours. Instead, she reflected on her childhood, remembered the days when Mary would fashion her long black hair into braids. Instead, she wondered what it would’ve been like if she’d only been his mistress, or if she’d never married him, or if she’d given birth to a son. Instead, she thought back to when her affection had been more important to him than good relations with Rome. Instead, she got dressed. Wore a red petticoat under her dark grey gown. Her mother’s ring around her left index finger instead of her wedding band. Instead, she walked up to the scaffold with steady hands and addressed the crowd, speaking no ill of the King. They tied a blindfold around her head and she closed her eyes. Thinking of God, thinking of Elizabeth. She didn’t feel the sword.

Something my friend told me the other day (via perrfectly)
“She who has been the Queen of England on earth will today become a Queen in Heaven.”
Created in commemoration of the 480th anniversary of Anne Boleyn’s execution.
“Perhaps its unknown to you but I didn’t say it as an insult. I said it because I CARE.”
“No, it isn’t..entirely unknown. But you shouldn’t just walk up to a person and tell them they look awful, the polite thing to do would be to introduce yourself first. You don’t look very refreshed yourself.”
there was still a churning stun of bitterness churning through her. even in her own decision it was not easy to release her children from herself. in a moment to reject instinct , and give her twins away. ❝ pain is something easily felt, and easily conquered. ❞ an accent building upon her words as she grunted to lean against the wall behind her. ❝ yes, i have just appeared here. i am a tad confused. ❞
“Very true, women know such a philosophy more than anyone, but one needn’t conquer it alone when it’s so great.” Anne let out a frustrated sigh as she discretely glanced over the woman, looking for a sign of the injury that was clearly causing her so much pain. “As did I, as have so many here. I believe it to be a place called New York even though it’s a land and country I had no idea existed. Allow me to assist you and perhaps we can be rid of some of that confusion?”
//Tomorrow’s the anniversary of Anne’s death and I’m EMOTIONAL.
“Now you look like you definitely need to sleep.” Sophie pointed at the individuals face and sighed.
“Hm? Is that your way of trying to insult me?”
