"I may have socked her one. She was putting up a bit of a fight so I needed to knock her out. Otherwise she’s fine. Hey, I got an idea. Since it’s you I’m taking the money from, I’ll offer a … discounted rate. Instead of a lump sum, I’ll send her back well after you treat me to a good dinner somewhere, hey?"

“Hah. A filled stomach is more important than a hefty sum of coin now? You surprise me each time, really. What will satisfy you— an exquisite gourmet meal in the best restaurant Noxus has to offer? Can your unsavory tongue even handle the taste? It seems too high class for you, but regardless I will take the request as an invitation instead of payment for a ransom. Would do my pride much better.”

"See, it's a win-win. I get a good meal and you get to save face and not shell out a ransom. Anyway, the meal has to be fancy. The kind you go to for special occasions because it's otherwise too expensive. I really don't know what that means in Noxus so that's in your hands. Just think of it as . . . you taking me on a date. And dress accordingly, too. It'd be nice seeing you in something other than assassin garb."

"Well it’s not so much that I resorted to it as she volunteered for the role of kidnapee. I mean, never look a gift horse in the mouth, right?"

"Actually I wasn’t here for a job. Well I was. I was here to receive a job but then little miss priss offered herself up for me and I saw a larger payout there. Also less of a chance to be double crossed, as Noxians are wont to do."

Katarina groans. “Typical. Little. Gold. Digger. Thank you for wasting my time and having to make me fetch a helpless pride demon that can’t walk her talk. I’m hoping you’ve only tied her up, or I will otherwise have to pay you with a slit through the throat.”
