New blog?
Hi everyone! I’m thinking of archiving this blog and creating a new one.
I’ve been in the process of trying to remake my personal off and on for years,a s I never use it for… well.. reasons. I made this blog as a side blog, mostly because I didn’t want my art mixed in with personal stuff, and it’s unfortunately become kind of a hassle to keep them so separated.
I added my RP blog, a blog I am on more often than not, as an admin to this side blog, but I’m still unable to access certain features unless I’m on my main blog that created it! (Like messages, appealing my flagged posts even though there is literally no NSFW on this blog, and other small but important features)
It’s been really frustrating, and I’m honestly not sure what to do at this point, as this site has gone a but down the drain, and trying to re-establish my following (and actually being able to follow you guys back) is going to be a lot of really hard work. :/
I really appreciate all of you guys’ support through the years, though. Until I figure out what to do, you can find me on my twitter and instagram! These have recently had name changes, also.

I’m not used to people being interested in my OCs aside from my close friends, which means I’m pretty bad about just throwing them up and leaving, and I guess if anyone wants to know more they can ask. So I admit this ask kind of threw me for a loop! In a good way though!!
Her alt mode is based on a Nissan Skyline GTR 34 in color “midnight purple”, and she’s kind of been a concept since high school. (photo below from site linked)
I had always entertained the idea of making Transformers OCs based on two cars; a Nissan Skyline, and a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, because they were the cars I was obsessed with at the time. I held to it, and Pulse is just the first one with a robot mode design. I’m not the best at it, yet, so my Lancer boy is coming a long a little slower.
I based her around the IDW continuity, with a lot of fanon mixed with canon. But with a little tweaking she could fit in just about any.
I’ve always been fascinated with how brothels and sex workers often helped shape revolutions and history in general, and from the shadows. I have a love for burlesque, and I love the tropes of “mama bear” madames, and people who do horrible things for what they feel is the right reason. So, Pulse’s everything revolves around these. She’s actually a “re-skin” of another OC of mine who just happens to fit really well with Transformers. And it’s been a really fun world building exercise to not only figure out how to translate our concept of burlesque into Cybertronian flavor, but also character building figuring out how she managed to get from her initial function, to a new function still within her frame type; courier to entertainer. (And it’s been really fun working with other peoples’ OCs in the process)
Before the war, Pulse was a burlesque dancer and escort who owned her own burlesque club and escort service. And she fought, swindled, blackmailed, and assassinated her way to that status. And she used it for good. It was a front for selling secrets and assassination, of course. And eventually became a front for her safe house, where she would funnel refugees fleeing Functionism to Kaon. She only officially joined the Decepticons during the early stages of the war. The fact she was an informant for the faction, and haboring refugees led to a very nasty Enforcer raid on her club and safe house. During the war she becomes a sniper, and keeps up her espionage and assassination work. She’s one of the subset of Decepticons who tried their best not to stray from the original cause, but she continues to wear her badge proudly even after their leader’s ideals and methods shift, because she’s too stubborn to let go of her own, as well as her grudge against Functionists and the Autobots.
Personality wise, she’s... hmm. Incredibly charismatic. She gives off an air of comfort and calm, and can make you at ease in her presence. She uses this to her advantage as a front, but it is also immensely genuine to those she cares about. She is very manipulative, and at times can be cold, cruel, and downright Machiavellian in her methods, but her heart is always in the right place. Her motivations are never selfish. Viciously protective of her loves ones and those in her care, and values one’s agency over all other things. Selfless to a fault, often sacrificing her own needs for everyone else’s, and also prone to over working herself to exhaustion.
